Attributes determine the skill of your character here in Corsic. Though there are seven total attributes, each character can only have four. Two of those are predetermined due to classes, but the other two are choice to the player. Once you have chosen your four attributes, you cannot change them. Accuracy: Determines strength in ranged attacks, whether they are melee or magical. Accuracy also determines how often your ranged attacks will successfully hit their target. Players with a high accuracy skill can use ranged attacks with a high level of proficiency, and almost never miss, while dealing a high amount of damage at the same time. Intellect: Determines how many abilities a player is able to hold at one time, and how powerful those abilities are. A player with a high level of intellect can learn and execute many abilities, whereas those with low intellect will not be able to use many abilities. Players with no intellect skill cannot use abilities. Mana: Determines how many spells a player is able to hold at one time, and how powerful those spells are. A player with a high mana level can learn more powerful spells, and can hold more spells at once. Players with no mana skill cannot use spells. Power: Determines the strength of melee attacks. A player with a high level in Power will be able to deal high amounts of damage per strike, giving them a huge advantage in melee combat. Players with low power skills, or no power skills at all, deal much less damage in melee combat. Quickness: Determines the ability of a player to dodge other attacks. A player with a high quickness skill will be able to dodge melee attacks, and execute counterattacks on their opponents. Players with no quickness skills will not be able to dodge attacks. Speed: Determines a player's ability to get a preemptive strike on opponents. Players with a high speed skill can also use both an ability and an attack in the same turn, giving them an advantage over some other their opponents. Players with no speed skills will not be able to get first strikes very often, nor will they be able to use two skills in one turn. Weapon Proficiency: Determines which weapons a player can or cannot use. A player with high weapon proficiency can wield any weapon successfully, and have a high level of success using it. Some classes may not originally allow the use of certain weapon types, but with the Weapon Proficiency skill, more weapons are playable to those classes. Players with no Weapon Proficiency skill are not able to use weapons that their classes cannot use, and gain no special abilities from weapons granting abilities to those with Proficiency. |
