So I decided to buy Limbo today 8D YAY FINALLY!! Playing it now, really great game so far~ (as I could tell it was going to be already, since playing the demo before this.) It's kept me on the edge of my seat nearly the entire time. and I've even shouted quite a few times LOL. "NO NO NO NO NO! IT'S GONNA GET YOU! RUUUUN! GOGOGOGO!" IT'S SO FREAKIN' FUN. (It's been keeping my cat entertained as well. almost every time it's on, she's watching x3 (and looks at me odd when I yell xD)) Edited by Drake, 26 Feb 2013, 12:20 AM.

I normally was, but over the past decade I've had to make myself stop OTL (though I still would do it sometimes) my mom hated it. I guess especially since it was either night or when she would be napping during the day, or just when she'd want quiet time x3 (which was often) but I guess now that I have the house pretty much to myself these days, it's picking up again XD |

Probably shouldn't double post, but whatever it's been 4 months and no one else has so *shot* So, as most of you know I got The Last of Us last friday. So far, it's proving to be a REALLY good game. I'm liking how the story's going, I love the characters. the game style itself is fun, reminds me quite a bit of Uncharted, though more realistic, and of course, more horror. Some of the music kinda reminds me of RDR. and there's something else at one point of the game that makes me think of RDR too (not saying what though, you need to play to find out *SHOT*) So far it's kept me on the edge of my seat, it gets pretty intense. All in all it's a damn great game. Those of you who weren't planning on getting it/are having second thoughts, I really recommend you buy it. It's definitely worth it. <333 |

I am in that group, but I'll definitely consider it more now. And I don't think anybody here really cares about double posts x3 |

(Public service announcement: I'm attempting creative spoiler tagging to avoid spoilers while saying enough plainly. And Spoilertagception. Ehehehe I'm pretty much done with The Last of Us now -- my completion is 91% of the story. I'm pretty sure that the next time I sit down to play it (tomorrow), I'll be finishing it. It's everything I was hoping it would be. I've stopped at * I think that's one of the things that shows just how standout the story and characters in this game are. I was actually legitimately compelled to do whatever necessary yes mid-sentence That's another thing that really impresses me: character development. You see how the characters grow and change their attitudes over the course of the story, and learn from what they go through. Naughty Dog have done wonders with their (simultaneous) VA work and mocap. It's beautiful. Believable. Even expressions. Combat is really tight as well. I love the hand sway -- it lends realism and it's done better than in any other game I know of. That and you have to conserve bullets and supplies. Sure, I could use my shivs to attack, but they're best saved for certain enemy types and unlocking doors. I could use that pair of scissors to make a bomb, but a shiv is more useful in most situations. Same goes for medical kits and molotovs. I'm playing on hard, but I find the difficulty fantastic with a touch of frustration. Since it's my first run through I've been experimenting a lot and have ~160 deaths on my counter because of it. There are many ways to get through any area and it's fantastic. tl;dr brilliant. Naughty Dog's best work.

I must agree that this is Naughty Dog's best. it's wonderful. and as you said the character development is brilliant and the characters are very believable.
YES, that was exactly how I felt too Spoiler: click to toggle and yes I also love the difficulty of the game (I really need to play it on hard though ha. or maybe survivor), having to really conserve ammo and supplies, and you really have to think about what you're doing to get around and hide from enemies and distract them. the combat is very good. (and yes that swaying when you aim your gun, I really loved that too :3) This game is definitely an amazing piece of work, the rest of you REALLY should get ittt Edited by Drake, 22 Jun 2013, 08:51 PM.

^ I loved Crash Bandicoot so much. There were among the first games I played. <3 Unfortunately I seem to have lost the disks for them (and the PS1). :c You could rent TLoU. I finished it in three sittings (long ones though) and I was pretty thorough in exploration. Speaking of. I finished it yesterday! Spoiler: click to toggle I really wanted to say more about the game, but I'm way too tired and starting to forget things. Time to go to bed, perhaps.

I recently bought and started playing White Knight Chronicles. It's pretty cheesy, but it is a JRPG x3 And on that note, it feels good to be playing a JRPG again. Been a lot of Assassin's Creed, Skyrim, and things like that recently. Nice seeing a bunch of color and stuff xD Also, putting me in a mood for more and I have a list of JRPGs that need my attention. Need to finish (and probably just restart) Infinite Undiscovery, need to finish Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Vesperia, want to replay Star Ocean 3 and Star Ocean 4 and Radiata Stories... And beside that, there's Lost Odyssey and Tales of Graces to buy and maybe even Eternal Sonata. xD (And Tales of Xillia on the way) |
