The Dreaded Paw

Whenever I go out in the first snow of the year, (requires at least two inches of snow and it still falling) I hear Caradhras music playing from LotR. EVERY YEAR. Since 2001.
Believe it or not, I've actually heard that same music a few times during snow as well. It really does have that Caradhras vibe to it. -especially when you go up some snowy mountains :3

So anyway, I beat Skyrim!!! 245 hours, level 52. -THE ENDING WAS AMAZING!!!
I still can't get over how amazingly beautiful this game is... It's definitely one of my TOP (if not the very top) favorite games <333333333
It's a shame I couldn't have gone further, though. There was still a lot to do! Soo much more exploring to be done lol. I still could explore further if I wanted to... but that lag is just getting really annoying :/
but well, like I said, I can explore more places I missed on my next game xD I also missed getting a couple of the trophies, like collecting all of those Daedric artifacts (I messed up and missed my chance with getting at least two of them..) and I somehow managed not to get a 1000 bounty in each hold lol. but yeah, next game I will :3
I'm still trying to decide what race to be next lol. I'm still leaning towards a Khajiit....or maybe an Argonian. We'll see x3

BUT. I did end up getting myself an early Christmas present ^^; Assassin's Creed: Revelations <3333 So I'm playing that now first.
It's great so far <3

Currently playing Crisis Core, for the first time <3 Loving it!

and now I suddenly have this strong desire to replay FFVII after I finish this... So in the mood!
I bought it off of PSN earlier this year. So now I can FINALLY play through the entire game again, and not just 90% of it! (Not to mention no more CG scenes skipping, too!) :'3 It's been so long..

I bought Zelda: Skyward Sword yesterday (being a Zelda fan, I had to, naturally), and I just gotta say... IT IS SO MUCH FUN!! :frolick:
If any of you ever happen to end up with a Wii (if you don't have one already... -I forget if any of you do x3), get this game! You won't regret it!
I will admit; there were some moments of frustration, trying to get used to the Wiimote.. but it didn't take that long for me to get the hang of it, and since then I've actually been having a blast :3

God it's great to finally play a new Zelda game :happycry:

Skyrim and Uncharted 3, with some LittleBigPlanet 2 and Birth By Sleep on the side.
I don't have time to read the rest of the posts above me, but I will next time I do and respond to them how I can. I want to know about your gaming shenanigans. :3

Skyrim: 245 hours, level 61 and still going strong. I haven't even started the Imperial questline but have over 80 dragons under my belt. I'm even filming some of it and it's hilarious.
My lag kicked in about level 90 and it's gotten to the point where I have to stop, save, turn off the PS3 and start it back up again after 45-80 minutes of gameplay. The other night I managed to walk all the way from Rorikstead and got most of the way to Whiterun before it froze.
Reloaded an old save I discovered (22hrs level 16) and I was just inside Dustman's Cairn with Farkas. Couldn't believe my eyes as that same day I'd visited the Cairn at 220 hours gameplay!
With Farkas!

I'm still early in Uncharted 3 -- I'm in the jaw-dropping Secret Library.
Good gods it's beautiful.
Nate looks very handsome this time around.

^245 hours xD exactly where I left off.
I could have gone so much further... but god, that lag, it just got impossible for me to take. Still can't even imagine how much more I would have enjoyed this game without the lag...

So anyway, I got the Ico and SotC Collection :3 and I already beat Ico. It was beautiful <3 I might play through it one more time, get some of the things I missed. (I wouldn't have ended it so soon if I would have known it was that short, lol.)
and of course, Shadow of the Colossus is next. It's gonna look beautiful :'3

Still playing Skyward Sword and Crisis Core, though I've slowed down.

and I don't believe I said I beat AC:R yet... I did, and it was AMAZING. Best one yet, indeed. I do feel like starting it over again soon... December was not a very good month for me, and I didn't feel I got as much out of it as I could have. (still some side stuff I never did)
I actually kind of have an itch to play the whole series over again lol. (Since Paw was telling me of some of the characters in AC who were real life people in those times (ones we didn't know about), it encouraged the feeling lol.)

I've also really been having a craving to play Red Dead Redemption (-or any online game) with all of you D:

^ The patch is out very soon, so hopefully you'll be able to get down to business again.
I just lagged my way through

What really helps with lag is turning off all autosave procedures, carrying as little as possible and bringing no followers with you. With that, I've managed to dodge really crippling lag most of the time on my save file, which is now 23MB and almost 260 hours (level 63). I can't play for more than an hour now.
I almost hate myself for working under Tullius. He doesn't care at all for Skyrim.

My plans for a vampire Argonian are ruined. Seeing as they, you know.
Are 100% resistant to disease. As their chief race perk.
How the hell did I forget that?

^ still responding, and I imagine Revs IS jaw-dropping. I still haven't managed to get my hands on it yet, unfortunately. There just isn't enough money.
Got my hands on the Crystal Edition of XIII-2 though. Herp derp.

And no, I haven't played Persona 4 since I got it. It just can't stand up to Skyrim and Uncharted 3 right now.
Speaking of Uncharted 3, I finished the game within four days and about 13 hours (I insisted on stopping and looking at EVERYTHING -- there are massive amounts of reused assests -- in the Secret Library, there is the same shelf with jars about twelve times). I'm at 18 hours now and about to finish the game on Crushing with all the treasures besides the Strange Relic and 65% of trophies.
I honestly thought Crushing would be harder. And the aiming is really jerky.

Hmm, the only thing I haven't tried is carrying less stuff xD but I'll give it a try next time I'm on.
Not sure how much more I will do this game though. Since I already finished the main storyline... Might start a new one soon.

IBeat I may as well tell you now, I still have not even touched Okami or MHFU D: Sorry, but I'm just waiting for the right time/mood lol. (plus, all those other games :whoa: )
(Also, I bought LBP2 recently. I had not planned to get it anytime soon, but I was in the mood for it and wanted to play lol. It's so fun! :3)

Also started SotC a while back and got to the 12th(?) Colossi. I'm trying to get all of the lizards this time so I can reach the top of the Temple. (which I've never done..) You need all of them for it, right?

Skyward Sword status: almost beat.

Crisis Core status: almost beat.

The patch is out now. Did you get it? On about 89% of systems it's working flawlessly now, BUT there are a couple of things you have to do after installing it (1.4).
- After installing the patch, safe to a new slot/file and then quit the game. Turn off your system.
- Turn the system back on and start playing, saving in the new file. It may be a bit buggy for the first few hours as the patch takes, but it'll smooth out quickly.
I won't be able to get it myself for some time.

As for Okami and MHFU: Okami is gorgeous, and a good in-between game. Don't play MHFU until you're ready to get pissed off by a really difficult game.
-------------------------------------------------

As for what I've been doing, I've stopped playing UC3 and last week I was in a really depressed state, so I started a Dragon Age II game solely to friendmance Fenris and cheer myself up. XD
I'd forgotten how damn fun the game is. Sure, I criticize all its faults, but it's fun. I tend to enjoy it quite a bit despite the weirdness.
Oh, and I've been playing it mostly in the middle of the night. So that too.

My current Hawke is a cranky two-handed warrior. she's quite powerful, really annoys Merril and always hangs out with Aveline, Fenris and Varric.
And maybe it's been too long, but I think I like the friendmance more than the rivalmance with Fenris.
HE GETS ALL SAD. It's great. oAo
And the voice. I swear, I would do almost anything Gideon Emery asked.
:nosebleed:
-------

To say more of Skyrim, I'm still going strong, but I now have a bug with the Imperial Questline which makes it so I can never finish it. Oh well, I'll just keep playing.
270hrs, level 66 now, with the lag varying. Last time I was on I was fast-travelling between Morthal and Riften several times with little to no lag.
Riften is the laggiest place in my game. It was buttery smooth. Which was really surprising.
Also fought a few random dragons.

Oh, I forgot to mention this last time but I finished the game as well. It was quite some time ago now, maybe three weeks to a month. I love Odahviing and the ending was pretty great. Didn't feel as dramatic as the end of Oblivion's main quest (which left me speechless), but
Spoiler: click to toggle
