Not a whole lot,

Apparently Magnimar was more or less leveled around the same time as Mockmurian was defeated, so that's exciting. Nobody saw who did it and according to Torval the large infernal presence that was hanging over the city (which no-one else could see) is gone.

Given that the only thing left working in the city is the merchant's bazaar, so we have reason to believe the destruction is connected to Karzoug (runelord of greed).

Other than that we futzed around the city gathering info, and then headed back to Sandpoint where everything is running suspiciously smoothly. Almost as though it's an illusion... In any case, apparently there has been some noise coming out of the catacombs of wrath beneath the glassworks, so we were taking a night to rest and then we're heading down there next session.

Also you got like 21k gold to spend - so you should think about that.

Torval would like to point out that the local bigwig wizard confirmed the prior existence of a massive infernal presence in Magnamar, and that the destruction was related to its removal. He also confirmed that Karzog was behind it.

Productive session last night. New characters successfully introduced and ruins explored. Apparently the runes that Karzog was putting on people have been feeding all of the runelords, not just him. The catacombs of wrath are all kinds of more interesting now, with high-level guardians and warded corridors. I'd also like to go ahead and give props to the cleric for one-shotting that CR 13 Glabrezu with a banishment spell.

Next stop, skull mountain and the Runeforge!

Don't forget to give props to the DM for finally giving the party a magical falchion...and then making it evil-aligned so that it burns the falchion-wielding paladin. The preemptive stone spikes in the corridor that essentially turned the reinforcements into fireball target practice were nicely done.

We (I) never did figure out why a recently-interred spirit guardian would know about the time of the runelords but nothing more recent...

I believe the idea was that the guardian has been there for 10,000 years and only recently awakened. We've figured out that Karzog gets power whenever someone dies while marked with a Sidhedron rune, because he siphons off the greedy parts of their souls as fuel. Of course, these runes have also been feeding the other runelords, so Wrath's dungeon has recently gotten a big power boost and woken up the guardian.

One more session, one chopped and roasted white dragon, one nearly eaten dwarven druid, one meat tank with a penchant for critical smites. Just about sums it up. Does an old dragon mean that the meat is stringy?

Next time, deeper into the cave, where there may or may not be a key to the runeforge (and a dragon hoard!).

Truly, Heironeous smiled on his servant in his hour of need and smote the evil dragon!

Yes, turns out that taking the time to cast a 10 minute spell on an open plateau rumored to be the hangout of an ancient white dragon was a Bad Idea. Also, turns out that white dragons can burrow faster than druids who have turned into earth elementals.

In the end though, I think the dragon's decision to hide in a cave and wait for the almost-fully buffed adventurers who tried to nuke it was pretty dumb.
