Degus (Octodon degus) are small creatures related to guinea pigs and chinchillas (order Caviomorpha). They are currently classed as rodents and are similar in appearance to squirrels. Originating from Chile (around the Andes mountains), degus are becoming increasingly popular as pets due to their bubbly personalities and gentle ways. This group is designed for anyone who owns a degu and would like advice, or for anyone interested who would like to find out more.
