Political parties are an idea I've also been playing with; I thought they could be grouped as follows: Democrat Faction, Socialist/Communist Faction, Green Faction, Centralist Faction, and the Unaffiliated Faction (default for new members). Nyahamn's right though, for the time being we do need a base neutral flag for the region. What's a good neutral colour that would distinguish our white dove? Should we link it to a theme we find? I'm thinking it will probably have to be something light. |

As we seem to agree on Keep It Cold [BLUE] as our default theme, the only colour of that theme that won't conflict with a white dove is the blue, so I've used that particular blue as the base of a mock-up default flag (can be viewed in the new hosting service). Thoughts? |

I like the design, I think the whole dove thing is really nice but personally I would prefer it in red. But I just thought if we were going to move towards the whole political party concept then maybe each party should have the same design merely in a different colour and as regional leadership changes so does the flag, being in the colour of the party in power. Thoughts? |

Check out the different flag variations in the hosting service, I think there is a red option. If you want a red forum theme, choose 'Under Pressure' in the theme set. The reason the blue flag is the default is because of the default forum theme, otherwise I assume the other flags are equally valid. As to the political parties thing, try here. I think Cercades and I would like it to be more of a role-playing thing, but if you lay out a definite proposal I for one am happy to listen (maybe just do it in the other thread for organisational purposes).
