Some R4s don't usually read usrcheat.dat sometimes so the only way to do this is to use Wordpad and create an .cht file. So in the following procedure, I'll show you how to create your own cheat files.

First we need the game name, Game Code and the CRC32. The CRC32 code and the Game Code is important as you will need it to identify your game correctly. R4CCC (R4 Cheat Code Editor) can be your friend to find the Game Code and the CRC32. As to how the top of the .cht file in Wordpad needs to look like is as follows:
Quote:

;@@@@@ Game Title: Game Name (U)
;@@@@@ Game Code: FRDT
;@@@@@ CRC32: 0x123ABCEF
;@@@@@ Number of Cheats: 0

Also the CRC32 is the last 8 digits but keep in mind that you need to start it off with 0x otherwise it'll won't work. So for example if the game code is FRDT-0369bcef then the line ;@@@@@ CRC32: is 0x0369bcef and ;@@@@@ Game Code: is FRDT.

Seperate both the top info provided then add codes as of follows in each line but ensure the number of cheats always increase per code added. In adding any codes always ensure that there is always an paragraph difference. As to adding codes, here is what you need:
Quote:

#New Code
;@Data Length: 2
;------------------
01234567 89ABCDEF

All codes must be from an Action Replay source. Take note that the data length is 2 cause it only has 1 line of code. Every line is at least 2 length so if you are planning on using an code that has 10 lines then the data length is 20. Also, the # in the top indicates it is disabled so changing it to @ will have it enabled straight away.

Also, if the code has an note you must add @Cheat Note: before ;------------------ so that it'll display the notes for the cheat in AKAIO or supported R4 cards/software with description of the cheat. It won't show up on some carts but it'll also is working on an cracked version of AKAIO except it will not pick up the .cht extension in the same place as the directory the game is in but it'll also do the cheat file for you as well as the extension .cc which is discovered in the cheats folder.

More info to be added.
