Ok I know it sux ass to have major lag in Minecraft whether you're running the default texture pack or using some weird ass one. Blue voids is gonna be there regardless depending where you're at [ie. bedrock].

Although, you can also improve your FPS [Frames Per Second...the F3 button] ingame by installing the latest Developer build of JAVA.

http://download.java.net/jdk7/

Depending what OS you have, only download the JRE version.

HOW TO CHECK IF YOU INSTALLED JRE7 on WINDOWS CORRECTLY!

1.Type "CMD" into the search bar and press enter

2. Type " java -version" into CMD.

3.If it says 1.7, you got it right! ;)

My FPS @ our current spawn used to be about 15-20 with FAR and normal on...no fog. Now, it's hovering around 50-150 FPS. Not sure if it'll work for everyone, but it's worth a shot.

ALSO, it lowers the CPU usage by at least 5-15% depending on your machine. That means LESS CRASHES! YAY.
