God Wars was released August 28, 2007. Since the day of it's release it has been a place to go to make money, hang out, and just to adventure and get a taste of new things. It includes such things as monster hunting and getting d boots and such all the way to the infamous Armadyl Hilt. My guide features all four gods, their inventories and much more about how to fight them including videos which detail what to do and when to do it. As God wars you can obtain many types of weapons, and two sets of armors. The weapons are all mainly very good, except for a select few like a Zamorakian Spear. As a smart off monster I suggest Zamorak, it's harder than Bandos and less profitable, but a good start up monster. I have included my personal drops for your viewing if you wish to see them, just to show that my method(s) work, and theres my proof. Before I begin describing the ways of slaughter. I am 15 years old and I live in California, Usa (-8 GMT). So if you plan to message me on runescape, please message in a time that you think is reasonable to be playing. The best way to ask me a question is to either post or send me a message on the rsc forums. All guides are opinions of the person who made them, so please refrain from saying such things as: "omg this is just a bad guide, thats all wrong." I have been to all the gods more than ten times each, so I know what I am doing when I write all this. So please make thoughtful comments. All these monsters are for 100+ combat only. If you are below, you are risking a lot by going. So be cautious. I know most of you are probably bored of reading this by now, (or didn't even bother to read this) so I'll begin now. Contact List In order of what I recommend #Mking [On Irc] <- Prizes and higher chance of Gwing with my better teams Tj040 Clan Chat Message Tj040 on Rs [/color] The Requirement to go to God Wars: 60 Agility OR 60 Strength And Atleast start the Quest 'Troll Stronghold' Here is a small taste of what's to come; 2. Getting There There are two ways to get there: by tellying to Trollheim, or by walking from Burthope. The tellying is of course faster. But here is how to get to god wars using both ways: The Teleport Route: [Eadgar's Ruse Quest Required] 1. Teleport to Trollheim: 2. Go down the rocks to the north west: http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/2484/gw26et6.png 3. Go south and around the curve: http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/2659/gw25pf2.png 4. Go north and then step out of the circle: http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/9163/gw24pd7.png 5. Go north east and pray range while running: http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/2350/gw23yl3.png The Walk Route: [Longer] 1. Tele to Burthope Games Room with Games Necklace [Enchanted Sapphire Necklace]: http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/6158/07...40336lf1yp1.png 2. Go to the Warriors Guild, bank the amulet, and gear up: http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/8804/gw22bm9.png 3. Once you leave the Warriors Guild, follow the trail northwest until you come to a crossroad: http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/1660/gw21mg2.png 4. Once you get to the house, go through it and then north: http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/7168/gw20it8.png 5. Once you reach the rocks, go north then west until you arrive at a red gate: http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1313/gw19tr8.png 6. Open the red gate to the north, then go northwest: http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/8347/gw18ez6.png 7. Go through the cave until you reach the end: http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/4954/gw17sa5.png 8. Once you reach rocks north of the cave, just pray range and go north until you reach the big white boulder: http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/707/gw16wj9.png The rest of the way for BOTH ways 1. Go through the little hole [60 agility] or push the boulder and go north. If you go through the little hole you can run a little further than you can by pushing the boulder. The snow takes down your stats, so run whenever your run reaches 1%: 2. Go north and down the hole. If it is your first time, you need a rope. Talk to the knight and then use the rope and climb down: 3. Once you set your rope, it’s set forever. Climb down and let the wars begin: Using empty space to last longer: Wondering how I have full invys in some pics? For those who teleport only: 1. Teleport to Trollheim 2. Drop 2 Saradomin Brews 3. Teleport edge with a glory 4. Bank the glory and withdraw whatever item you deposited earlier 5. Teleport back to Trollheim 6. Pick up the Brews 3. Items Needed and Precautions: Different items can be better/worse for different gods, the better the armor, the better chances for good drops, the more you kill a trip. Helmet: Veracs Helm, Torags Helm, Helm of Neitzot. Amulet: Amulet of Fury, Zamorak Stole, Amulet of Glory, Armadyl Pendantl [Only for people planning to go to Armadyl]. Arrows [Armadyl Only]: Ruby and Diamond Bolts [Enchanted], Addy and Mith Bolts. Top: Torags Plate [Guth/Dh also work], Karils Top, Bandos Chestplate. Bottoms: Torags Leg [Guth/Dh also work], Karils bottom, Bandos Tassets. Weapon: Abyssal Whip, Armadyl Godsword, Zamorak Godsword, Bandos Godsword. Shield: Dragonfire Shield, Obby Shield, Zamork Book, Saradomin Book. Boots: Ranger boots, Snakeskin boots, Dragon Boots, Climbing Boots. Gloves: Barrows Gloves. Ring: Ring of Wealth, Warrior/Archer/Beserker Ring [Not Recommended]. Cape: Fire Cape, Trimmed Cape, Saradomin Cape, Backpack. Inventory Items: Super Restores [All Gods] Saradomin Brews, About 2.5x the amount of Super Restores [All Gods] Teleport Tablets [All Gods] Dragon Hally [All gods, but Armadyl] Hammer [Bandos Only] Mith Grapple [Armadyl Only] Having Eadgar's Ruse Quest done is a huge advantage. Precautions: Lootshare: P2P Lootshare worlds are; 9 22 23 26 28 39 46 48 56 59 64 65 69 76 84 88 89 91 97 111 112 124 131 137 145 151 157 158 159 Why use it? Lootshare is very useful for many things; 1. Very good for taking pictures of drops that you get. 2. Make sure nobody item steals any good drops, this way you know who's not sharing. 3. It splits the loot around, fair. 4. It makes the chance of getting an item rarer. There is no evidence behind it, but the hilt drop and 2 chest plate drops were all the drops for the people who the got the fewest kills throughout the trip because of lootshare. 5. Easier to share food, easily know the amount of it, and the food and potions drops are spread around evenly from there. Example of lootshare can be seen in any pictures of drops below. Grave: Why get one? If you die, you won't lose millions like I did. Where do you get one? Lumby, from the priest in the church. Buy the one for 5k. Also purchasable from the Giant Dwarf area for 500k. It’s more expensive, but lasts longer, better for Armadyl goers. How do you use it? If you accidentally/purposely die, you have a gravestone appear where you died. You have 2-5 minutes [depending on your grave] from the time you died to return and get your stuff. But because of the KC of the monsters, this is impossible. But your team has the option to 'Bless Gravestone'. For a small price of 60 prayer points, your grave will last for 60 minutes. This gives you enough time to get back, even to Armadyl. Repairing a gravestone gives five minutes. Must have 70+ prayer to bless a gravestone. You DO keep your fire cape and barrows gloves when you die. Ex. of a grave: Picture of Area, circles represent where to get Kc: Getting a Team For All Gods: 1. Runescape Forums, Go to Events 2. Runescape Community, go to Events Forum 3. Runescape Community, go to my Weekly Gw Topic, can go with me twice a week 4. Hop outside Lootshare worlds, ask teams if you can join them, better to ask larger/smaller level teams 5. Join GW clans like Almighty Strife [Page 9/10 have members of them posting, look at their sigs] 6. Join Clans such as Crimson Raiders who have many teams who go there [Sig for info] 7. Use Irc chats such as #Mking where people form teams and go, remember to stay in the chat whenever you're on rs for maximum efficiency 4. Armadyl [runescape site picture] 1. Tips and Questions Tips: * Bring a Fury with you for the fighting of the Armadyl. * May bring a Zamorak Book to get KC with to make the Gorak leave you alone. * Do NOT take the Armadyl Pendant off during the kill count, unless you have armadyl items, then you do not need the pendant * Always use lootshare. Q/A What bolts should I use? Ruby (e) for 120+, Diamond (e) for 100-119. Why is it difficult? If you pray too late, you'll get hit up to a 68, you get hit a lot during the whole fight. Why is this KC the hardest? It takes over 20 minutes to get it. Why bring range pot if you are going to brew so much? The range pot is for the kill count and also for key moments, toward the end of trips usually, when you really need to push it. How many people do you recommend for here? 4-6 people assures atleast one drop, if not more. You take a lot of damage here, more people = longer stay but also less share, I go with longer stay personally. Can I use the Bones to Peaches spell here? Yes, you can but it's hard since you can't get many drops a trip, so the bones take a while to get. How should I pray? Range prayer for everybody throughout the whole thing. 5% range starting in the beginning, and then move to 5% defense and range, then 10% prayers for def and range, then 15% prayers for the same until the end of the trip. Spread the changes out accordingly so you change prayers 6 times during the whole trip. As brews get low, you need to pray more. Make sure by the end you use all your restores for maximizing effect. What summoning monsters do I use here? Go to Section 8. What item do I replace for the summoning pouches? Read Section 8, and a Saradomin Brew. 5. Bandos [runescape site picture] 1. Go northwest, to goblins if you have a zamorak item, to hobgoblins if you do not have a zamorak item on. Realname: General Graardor Hitpoints: 254 Difficult (1-4): 1, The easiest Level Required: 70 Strength Time for kill count: 5-7 minutes with goblins, 10 minutes with hobgoblins Danger level at spawn: 3, if tanker misses, problems occur. 5A. The Inventory Tanker: Best Gear [Attacker]: Efficient Gear [Attacker]: Bandos Guthan Tanker: Using Guthan is the best method because less Brews are used, but it is more costly and harder to master. Bandos Guthan Attacker W/ Godsword: Using Guthan is the best method because less Brews are used, but it is more costly and harder to master. The Kill Count You have two choices to get kill count: Way 1: [Requires Zamorak Item] 1. Go down the rope. 2. Go northwest until you come to Goblins and a Gorak. 3. Kill the Goblins and Cyclopes to get your kill count. - Faster way, but one less inventory space. Way 2: 1. Go northwest until you come to Goblins and a Gorak. 2. Run west then north with melee prayer on. 3. When you come a bit west, go north and kill the three Hobgoblins and Jogre. - Slower way, but saves an inventory space. This is also where you find empty worlds for Bandos. 5C. The Procedure: ______The Charge______ 1. From your kill count spots run west and bang the door. 2. Run north, and slightly east and pray mage. 3. Let the tank go in first with melee prayer on. 4. Everybody else comes in with range prayer on. ______Rest of Trip_____ 1. The tank stands in one of the two positions. OR 2-3 spaces toward the west. 2. When the Bandos appears the tank attacks the General FIRST. 3. Right after the tank clicks attack, he should bust on melee prayer and piety [optional, but recommended]. 4. When the General appears, that’s when the rest of the group puts on range prayer. 5. By follow the timings I put above and watching the video, you can conserve a lot of prayer. 6. Everybody kills the General together. 7. Kill the smaller guys in order of: Sergeant Steelwill, Sergeant Grimspike, and then Sergeant Strongstack. 8. Pick up drops. 9. Assume the positions. 10. Re-pot and pray if needed. Q/A: How common is a hilt? 1\15 Trips. Would you recommend Bandos for beginners? Yes, it is very easy and high chance of items. Why not Bandos boots over Dragon? You only need Bandos for about 15 seconds, once you're inside, Dragon Boots are better. Why can't we split to kill the smaller guys? Your tank will take more damage if you split up. How many people do you recommend for going here? 4-5 for teams with no more than one godsword. 3 if two people have godswords. Why does the tank have no super sets? You brew so often that super sets are pointless. How do I pray? Piety and melee pray during the whole boss for the tanker. Range pray and piety for everybody else during the whole boss. Can I use the spell Bones to Peaches here? Yes, and it is very effective, especially for the tanker. What summoning monsters do I use here? Go to Section 8. What item do I replace for the summoning pouches? Read Section 8, and a Saradomin Brew. |

Tips and Questions Tips: * Try not to have a tanker everytime here, he'll get owned everytime, literally. * Do not come to Zamorak a lot, low profit. * Remember to kill the small guys in order and quick, the guys hit a lot. * Go strength based, it's defense is really low. * Share the smaller drops like Zamorakian Spear and Steam Staff, since you don't get much money there. * If your teams are big, have one of your friends kill spirtial mages, and give you guys anti's as you run low. * Use lootshare like always. Q/A: Why veracs skirt over karils leatherskirt? Defense and prayer bonus for when you tank. Why pray mage, or anything at all? The mage slaps really hard, more than the range and melee. Why is Zamorak Sword so cheap if nobody goes there? A lot of people went to Zamorak when GW first came out because of its’ simplicity. So a lot were in the market when pking existed, people used it a lot. But the price has been dropping since pking died. Why do you even go to Zamorak? To try a slight change. Can you do Bones to Peaches here? No, they drop Ashes. Is it fun? No. Can you have a ranger here? Yes, but it's pretty useless because the big guy has low defense. So melee would be better. How should I pray? Melee prayer and piety for whoever it attacks until the boss dies. Mage prayer and piety through the boss for the rest. Rangers use 5%. Can you use a black mask for lesser tasks at Zamorak? Yes What summoning monsters do I use here? Go to Section 8. What item do I replace for the summoning pouches? Read Section 8, and a Saradomin Brew. 8. Summoning Welcome To Tj040’s Summoning Addition To Godwars! (Creator: Domthedude4) Since the release of summoning on January 15, 2008, many people have found great uses for familiars and have always pondered as to which familiar would be most beneficiary to their Godwars trip. This short sub-section of the guide shall explain. Note ~ Please Do Not Ask Myself Or Domthedude4 (The Creator Of This Sub-Section) HOW To Obtain Charms. I Personally Use A Godsword At Waterfiends And Am Now Currently 83 Summoning. For Lower Levels Or Those Who Do Not Have A Powerful Crush Weapon (Godsword, Verac Flail, Saradomin Sword, Etc) I Would Recommend Slayer Monsters. Generally, the familiars to bring are similar to each other for each boss but in certain cases, some hold higher priority over others. I Will Label Where Each Monster Should Differentiate Per Boss. ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ Subsection 1: Beasts of burden: (Used At ALL 4 Bosses**) (Highly Recommended To Bring) From left to right: - Spirit Kalphite o Requires 25 Summoning o Holds 6 Items o Lasts For 22 Minutes o Combat Level 39 o Summoning Potion Recommended If Lower Than 32 Summoning And Want To Summon A New One During The One Trip* o Scrolls Not Recommended (Weak Damage Dealt Waste Of Brew Space) - Bull Ant o Requires 40 Summoning o Holds 9 Items o Lasts For 30 Minutes o Combat Level 58 o Summoning Potion Recommended Lower Than 47 Summoning And Want To Summon A New One During The One Trip* o Scrolls Recommended At Saradomin Boss To Heal Energy As You Are Constantly Running Around - Spirit Terrobird o Requires 52 Summoning o Holds 12 Items o Lasts For 36 Minutes o Combat Level 62 o Summoning Potion Recommended If Lower Than 60 Summoning And Want To Summon Another One During The One Trip* o Scrolls Recommended At Saradomin Boss To Heal Energy As You Are Constantly Running Around - War Tortoise o Requires 67 Summoning o Holds 18 Items o Lasts For 43 Minutes o Combat Level 86 o Summoning Potion Recommended If Lower Than 78 Summoning And Want To Summon Another One During The One Trip* o Scrolls Not Recommended (Defence Bonus Not Needed As Saradomin Brew Gives Enough Defence Bonus) - Pak Yak o Requires 96 Summoning o Holds 30 Items o Lasts For 58 Minutes o Combat Level 175 o Summoning Potion Recommended At Any Summoning Level If You Want To Summon Another One During The One Trip* o Scrolls Recommended At All Bosses To Bank Certain Items ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ * Summoning Potions Only Sometimes Recommended Because While A Familiar Is Spawned, It Not Only Decreases Points For The Spawning But It Also Decreases About 1 Summoning Point Per 1 Minute Of It’s Time. Because Of This, Summoning Potions May Be Needed To Restore Your Points In Order To Summon Again. However, If You Are A Much Higher Level In Comparison To The Familiar’s Required Level, You Will Not Need A Potion As You Will Have Enough Points To Summon A New One. ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ **All Beasts Of Burden Should Be Summoned At A Bank To Hold More Stuff But Be Aware You CANNOT Bring A Familiar Down The Rope At Sara And Therefore This Trick Should Help: Step 1: Fill up your beast of burden with 2 extra beast of burden pouches of your choice in addition to the extra potions you wish to bring. Step 2: Obtain 40 kill count on the main floor of the Godwars Dungeon. Step 3: Once you have 40 kill count, proceed to the first rope before Saradomin and disban your familiar causing the potions and pouches to fall to the ground. Step 4: Run to the very last floor just outside the door of Saradomin and drop the amount of potions per the inventory your beast of burden can hold. Example ~ Terrorbird holds 12 items and therefore drop 12 potions on the last floor if you have terrorbirds. Step 5: Run back up to your stuff on the ground and loot it all. Step 6: Proceed back to the last floor at the entrance of Saradomin and then Summon your beast of burden putting it as many potions as it can hold. Step 7: Loot all the potions you previously dropped on the ground in front of the entrance. These steps need to be followed otherwise a fully stocked beast of burden is not possible at Saradomin boss. All other bosses have no problem allowing them into the area. ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ Usefulness ~Beasts of burden are very useful for godwars as they can extend your trip exponentially. I would recommend taking the above list over any other familiar as these are really the only beneficial monsters to your trip. Tanker or not, beasts of burden will allow you to hold onto more brews and super restores and therefore it trumps over healing familiars as more inventory space can be provided. ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ How To Use ~As to what to include inside the beasts of burden, simply add more brews and restores along with another pouch if you wish to summon another one and a summoning potion if the above criteria suggest you to do so. Typically, 3 doses of brew = 1 dose of restore so therefore, for every 3 brews you add to the summoning monster, include 1 full super restore. Example ~ My War Tortoise Setup ~ 12 Brews, 4 Super Restores, Another War Tortoise Pouch And An Additional Brew (As I Do Not Need A Summoning Potion Because My 83 Summoning Is High Enough That My Points Won’t Drop To 0) Inventories for each boss can vary such as holding an addition anti poison potion for Zamorak or holding ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ Subsection 2: Healers (Used At All 4 Bosses) (Second Most Highly Recommended To Bring) From Left To Right: - Void Spinner o Requires 34 Summoning o Heals 1 Hitpoint Every 15 Seconds o Lasts For 27 Minutes o Combat Level 40 o Summoning Potion Recommended If Lower Than 40 Summoning And Want To Summon Another One During The One Trip o Scrolls Not Recommended (Teleporting To Pest Control Is Not Helpful At God Wars) - Bunyip o Requires 68 Summoning o Heals 2 Hitpoints Every 15 Secons o Lasts For 44 Minutes o Combat Level 70 o Summoning Potion Recommended If Lower Than 76 Summoning And Want To Summon Another One During The One Trip o Scrolls Not Recommended (Bosses Nor Minions Drop Any Raw Fish For It To Eat) - Unicorn o Requires 88 Summoning o Right Click To Cure Yourself From Poison (Very Useful At Zamorak) o Lasts For 54 Minutes o Combat Level 70 o Summoning Potion Recommended If Lower Than 97 Summoning And Want To Summon Another One During The One Trip o Scrolls Are Highly Recommended (Heals Up To 15% Hitpoints) ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ Usefulness ~ Healers enable you to restore your hitpoints and therefore cause you to use less food and brews. You can stay much longer at your godwars trip however I would recommend you to still ring the beast of burden as they can hold much more items and therefore benefit you more so in the long run. If, however, you are soloing or duoing unicorns are highly recommended. ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ How To Use ~ Both bunyips and void spinners heal you naturally so you will not have do any work to get your hitpoints up. However, when using unicorns, you need to keep an eye on your hitpoints and use your scrolls when you get to about half hitpoints. This way, you can use a scroll to heal 15% hitpoints and therefore keep your trip lasting as long as possible. Fire/Moss/Ice Titan Usage ~ The scroll of these act as a brew but does not drop attack or strength. However, it doesn’t give as much defence and hitpoints as a regular brew but the scrolls can be stacked and therefore they are a very useful thing to have. These require 79 summoning and are highly recommended both for damage and the scroll. ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ Subsection 3: Attacking Monsters (Used At 4 Bosses) (Only Recommended To Bring If You Have High Summoning) The above monsters are some examples of high level summoners have access too. It is HIGHLY recommended you do not take these OVER the beasts of burden and healers. However, at every godwars trip, I advise bringing a summoning familiar no matter what as they may contribute in some way. Even doing one damage on a boss/minion can help or even to get the minions to attack it as opposed to yourself causing you to use less food. In essence, at every godwars trip, you should have a familiar. Beast Of Burden > Healers > Attackers. Using this method of prioritization, you can make your godwars trip as long lasting as possible and therefore will give you a better chance of receiving drops. All monsters can be used at every boss and there are no specific advantages of bringing either familiar to each boss but the higher the level, the better the damage. Foragers ~ These familiars include Spirit spider, Granite crab, Desert wyrm, Compost mound, Beaver, Void ravager, Magpie, Macaw, Ibis, Fruit bat, and Granite lobster. These are very useless at godwars and can become tedious when they produce items in their inventory. I advise not brining these to godwars as they are useless in every aspect. Remember the simple prioritization of Beast Of Burden > Healers > Attackers and you will be able ensure an effective trip. FAQ: 1. Abyssal Parasite, Abyssal Lurker and Abyssal Titan are also beasts of burden so why don’t you advise brining them to godwars? Answer: Although they have many inventory spaces they are only used for holding pure essences when runecrafting and therefore it is useless to bring. 2. When your summoning points reach 0, does your familiar disappear. Answer: No, your familiar will remain for the duration of the time it has remaining no matter what your summoning points are. Once your summoning points reaches zero, however, you cannot summon another familiar as you do not have enough points. This is where summoning potions come into play. 3. If your beast of burden dies or its timer runs out when holding items, do your items disappear with it? Answer: No, if your beast of burden dies or its timer runes out, it will drop all the items it was holding to the ground for you to loot. Therefore no items are lost unless you forget to pick them up. 4. Do your summoning monsters get attacked when in Godwars? Answer: Generally, the DO NOT get attacked. For example, Armadyl hits wave after wave of magic/range tornados at every single person in the room. This does not apply to summoning familiars nor does Commander Saradomin God’s Lighting Attack, Bandos Smack Down Range Attack Or Zammy’s Sword Slash. The only way for them to get attacked is when they attack a minion or even sometimes the boss. In this case, only melee attacks from the boss will undertake and again this rarely happens as many others are on the boss. 9. Conclusion Well, I hope my guide was of use to you. Please post if you see any mistakes, have comments, or questions and I'll be glad to fix and/or help you with anything. Personaly made over 100 mil at Godwars, so I know what I'm doing. That’s why I've added the personal drops section for each god to show you that my methods work. Godwars is very fun, and very easy money. It’s even better than DK, but with much more work required and more dangerous. Each god offers a different experience, and I suggest trying every one before always choosing to go to the same. Drops are of course lucky, so you must be patient. I've had 5 dry trips in a row, and I've also had five straight good drops in a row. Remember to have your inventories correct, it all depends on them, adjust them for your level. I'm level 123, so for some of you, you may need more brews and the like. Message me in RS or see me in #CR if you need me quickly. Or simply post here and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Everybody kills the gods with different inventories and equipment, so please refrain from unnecessary comments. This is just a mere opinion of what I think you should take. I hope the guide was of help for some, and good luck in your adventures!!! |
