First, I would like to thank you for considering joining this site - if you already have joined the site, I would like to thank you and hope for your continued activity. We, the staff, would like it if everyone on the site acted appropriately, but as we live in an imperfect world, we have to establish a series of rules so you know what we are asking you to refrain from doing, both inside and outside of the Roleplay on this site. Show General Kindness Towards Your Fellow Members (And Staff) -This is a fairly self-explanatory guideline, and by following this, we should be eliminating the vast majority of rules violations on the site. Simply, if you do not want someone saying something similar to you, do not say it to them. No Flaming or Trolling -This rule coincides with the above, but we take this rule rather seriously. As Digimon is a series that has both youthful and older fans, content must be appropriate for a general audience aged 13 and over. (We say 13 because it is the Zetaboards minimum age requirement) This translates to not pushing insults or demeaning statements upon another person, or being "sarcastic" towards another member. An issue with the internet is that when we read, we put words in our own context, and if a person is offended by something that is said, the one who typed them will receive some kind of a warning. No Spamming or Post Farming -To keep all aspects of the forum "fair" we ask that you only post in a thread if you have something more substantial than a "I Agree" or other short statement. "One-Liners" as they are called, are generally looked down upon, as they do not contribute to the conversation at hand. Post farming is a similar phenomenon in which a member "sweeps" the forum, posting in nearly any topic they can make a post without double-posting. Both of these practices are frowned upon and are punishable if broken to a moderate to severe extent. No Multi-Accounting -Yes, this needs to be said. By making another account, a member can potentially break any of the rules above by simply making an alternate account. Accounts made with thee same IP are immediately questioned and monitored by staff members to ensure that the above practices do not occur. No Advertising outside of the Advertisements Forum If you want to advertise a site here, please do so in the advertisements forum. Putting it in your signature is fine as long it is not in the form of something that inhibits others' progress through a topic. At this time, we would like to elaborate on a couple major rules governing the sites roleplaying system. This is to ensure a fair experience for all members, veterans, and those just starting out. Posting Policy -Without going into a long-winded explanation here, here is a convenient Link to address post-order questions and guidelines. This is to ensure the fun in the roleplay for those active, although it may be detrimental to those who are not as active. Multithreading (awesome computer term) -At any point in time, your character may be active in up to three threads, spanning the course of one week. Only one of these threads may be plot related in some way. Joining The Roleplay -At any point in time, a member may join the roleplay. However, one of our concerns is the member starting out far more powerful than those who have been roleplaying for a while. For this reason, for the purchase of digivolutions and other Roleplaying aspects, a member has their BP amount is taken into account, and they gain access to the use of 50 of their stored BP per week, until they have no posts on hold. They can still accumulate BP as normal through this process, though. Battles -If you choose to battle in the roleplay, and we know you will want to, in order to receive any "credit" for the battle, a member or group of members must either have a staff member (who can be in the topic) or a member entirely uninvolved in the battle spawn and control the opponent. This is to ensure that bias does not keep the battle too easy for the persons in the topic, and ensures that loss, if not death of your character is entirely possible. If a member spawns something far beyond the group's levels, then one can take it up with someone "higher up" on the chain of command to relieve the situation. Profile Changes -If you make a change to your profile, or wish to add something to your profile, we ask that you make a post in the profile updates thread (Located Here[/url) and be patient with staff in performing the update. Profile General -Although we will not enforce this, it is highly recommended that you place a link to your character’s profile in your signature, so that members may look at certain aspects of your character, such as appearance, partner information or the such. Overall, Have Fun -Although this goes without saying, we wish that you have a fun time on our site, invite your friends, Post, be active, and get to know people. Our community is rather accepting of new members, and we would thoroughly enjoy interacting with you. Edited by Alphamon, Nov 19 2011, 08:27 AM.
