*This strategy was adapted from "the bitches." Skater, you know who they are :3* Overview: This strategy requires many rangers (hope they have sighted bows, too) and a couple of binders. This strategy works wonders, as it acts offensively AND defensively as well. What everyone does is DD and everyone takes ranging/binding gear out. Obviously, one can act as both and have binding armor on and a bow wielded. Try not to melee anyone, as you will end up becoming VULNERABLE. What's so good about it: - When a "victim" is attacked, they will have no idea what's hitting them. All he'll see is a huge-ass pile of people shooting a hundred arrows at him. Add a couple of binds to it, and he's done for. - The victim can run all he wants, but as long as he stays within our shooting range, he's dead. (Binds, please :D) - When the main pile comes, the caller will have to right click onto our pile, and then decide on who to attack. It might not sound like much, but believe it or not, this is EXTREMELY frustrating, as he would have to read all the names and their levels. - Here's where it gets worse. The caller obviously has to "call" the target. Then, the main pile has to right click our pile and search for the target as well. This causes extreme confusion, and most of the time, the enemy's clan either attacks the wrong person, or simply takes a long time to find the victim. Either way, it gives our clan a huge advantage. - BINDERS ARE AS SAFE AS ANYONE ELSE HERE. When a binder binds, the specific person cannot be seen, as he is part of the huge pile. What happens when you're piled? - I advise just staying in our pile. Put on your tanking gear (Holy Symbol ftw) and pray your ass off. This sort of "tanking" should be relatively easy, as all you need to do is eat and adjust Steel Skin based on how much damage you take. If you run, you'll be vulnerable and no longer part of the safety of the DD Range strategy. - However, the option to run can be used, as there will be less people in the enemy clan to take down. Chances are, the enemy caller would spot this and call on the runner immediately. Hopefully, the runner will be out of melee range by then, and can drag the clan away. The ally being piled would have to be willing to give himself up in order to help out our clan, which you don't see a lot. This strategy is simply amazing. Skater and I have personally witnessed the devastating results of such a strategy. Side notes: - When a victim manages to (or seems like he will be able to) escape our piling, NEVER CHASE THEM, as you will become vulnerable. He'll be back, and he'll die anyway. - The caller who leads this clan when using this strategy will need to have extremely good judgment, as he will have to say "(pile code) (combat level)" and "Off" A LOT. - Add in TeamSpeak and this strategy will be virtually flawless, as communication problems will be gone. - Avoid using Eagle Eye, since your prayer should be spent on tanking, as one would want to hold the enemy off for as long as possible (Holy Symbol, please :D). A clan using the DD Range strategy will already have far too high offensive capabilities. - Best maps to use this: Plateau, Turret - In Turret, you can also DD Range on top of a turret, but for some reason, it seems more confusing. In Conclusion: - Be prepared to shoot. - Be prepared to bind. - Be prepared to tank. - Be prepared to stop shooting. - Be prepared to right click on our pile and press "Walk Here" (since you might accidentally walk out of the pile) Hope you clan leaders find this helpful! ![]() Use this strategy wisely, and especially against clans without leaders!
