Space Quests

I. Last Great Race
Horses and chariots, cars of every type, dogs bred for long distance in freezing weather or short distance and life on an indoor track, you name it, people find a reason to bet on or against a certain racer. With the introduction of mass produced space worthy vessels, a new competition has formed.
Joint Optional
Requirement(s): Spacecraft
Reward(s): 1000 Zenni to be split amongst crew
Time: 7 Days (4 RP’s, 3 Races) // 800 wpd
Note: The order of the quest goes as follows: 1 RP, 1 Race to Check-Point Marker I, 1 RP, 1 Race to Check-Point Marker II, 1 RP, 1 Race to Finish Line, 1 RP. If the quest taker comes in second to the checkpoints, add 200 words to the next RP session; if the quest taker comes in third to the checkpoints, add 300 words to the next RP session, and so on for each position. There are five opposing ships entered into the competition: Serenity, the Pulsar Skate, the Ever Victorious, Voyager, and the Robinson. Each participating vessel rolls 1d20 until they reach 100; every ship must finish the journey.

II. You Can't Take the Sky From Me
A man by the name of Reynolds is grounded aboard a colony out in the middle of the black. Unable to get his ship out of its current state of landlock and with a boat load of goods (read: illegal) in the belly of her and a strict time frame to deliver the wares, he's looking for any sort've help he can get. Finding trustful spacers is a rare feat these days, but if you pull through for him, he and his crew might have more jobs lined up.
Joint Optional
Requirement(s): Spacecraft // An empty Large Storage Room
Reward(s): Rail Gun x1
Time: X Days // 850 wpd. X = the number of days your ship takes to get to another planet + 1

  • Rail Gun
Description: A large, electrical cannon built on a set of rails to handle the recoil from the large pulse blasts that it fires. Far too large to be held, it must be mounted on a craft.
Effect: Add-on to any non-Space Pod spacecraft. 350 DMG per hit. Dice are 2d28. After every two turns this Weapon is used, you cannot use it for one turn.
    Notes: Must be manned.

III. Gun Running . . . In Spaaaaaace
Two Saiyan ships belonging to a criminal organization have just picked up a shipment of Earthling firearms and are trekking their way across the Galaxy. Someone is itching to see the ships raided and destroyed. Enter you. The weapons sell for a decent amount on the black market and are also powerful. The person hiring you is willing to part with some of the weaponry as long as the rest of the shipment is in their hands.
Joint Optional
Requirement(s): Spacecraft // 2 Ship Inventory Slots
Reward(s): Nosferatu Handgun x2 // Phantom Double-Barrel Shotgun x2
Time: 7 Days (5 RPs, 2 Space Battles) // 1,000 wpd
Battle Info: The two Battles will take place against sister ships; the Bloodsport and the Double Impact. Both ships are Saiyan Armadas and are fully manned.

  • Bloodsport
    HP: 5,500
    Crew Size: 5
Weapons: Missile Launcher x3, Concussion Missiles x2
Support Systems: Medium Storage Room, Docking Bay x2, Auto-Pilot

  • Double Impact
    HP: 5,500
    Crew Size: 5
Weapons: Missile Launcher x3, Concussion Missiles x2
Support Systems: Medium Storage Room, Docking Bay x2, Auto-Pilot

IV. Rub the Pathos In
A distress beacon is picked up out in the middle of nowhere. There are civilians that need assistance; their ship had malfunctioned, its engine are off-line, and the crew is stuck. Without power, there's no heat or O2, both of which are important to everyone but the Changeling mechanic. They could use a tow.
Joint Optional
Requirement(s): Spacecraft // Heroic/Rogue Alignment - If taken by a Rogue, you may never take Screw Pity, I Need Cash
Reward(s): 300 Zenni
Time: 2 Days // 1,000 wpd

V. Screw Pity, I Need Cash
A wave is picked up out in the middle of nowhere. The message begins with two overlaid red triangles before the face of a middle-aged man appears. He begins informing you of another vessel within range that he would like taken care of. You don't have to ask why when he pulls up your credit information with ease. He says it's to give you a reward, but you feel just as much threatened that he can make it all disappear if you turn him down.
Joint Optional
Requirement(s): Spacecraft // Villainous/Rogue Alignment - If taken by a Rogue, you may never take Rub The Pathos In
Reward(s): 300 Zenni
Time: 2 Days // 1,000 wpd

VI. Best of Both Worlds
A navcom reaches the ship's main terminal. The computer screen is the only source of light in the otherwise black room. A finger pressed the touch-screen prompt labeled RECEIVE: MESSAGE and a video of your ship flashes before the hungry eyes of the space pirate thirsty for blood. A rangefinder rapidly ticks down as you grow nearer and nearer the enemy.
Requirement(s): Spacecraft
Reward(s): 400 Zenni to be split amongst crew // ECm-System
Time: 2 Days // 1,000 wpd

  • ECm-System
Effect: RESTRICTEDx2. Use when your opponent performs a SUCCESSFUL attack with a Missile Weapon. Prevent all damage from that attack. May only be added to a spacecraft one time.

VII. Carrier
Hello, kind stranger, and welcome to the wonderful world of glorified intergalactic bus driving services. This mission, and you have little choice not to accept it, comes with no frills, no benefits, and most imporantly, no level of respect from your passengers. But it does come with a shiny new coin to put in your purse!
Requirement(s): Non-space pod Spacecraft
Reward(s): 50 Zenni per unused occupancy on spaceship to be split amongst crew
Time: The same amount of time it takes for the quest taker's ship to travel
Info: With the extra occupant spaces aboard a ship, the user can load up on passengers heading to the another planet and ferry them on their merry way. You may not take other Space quests while you take this one. You may take Carrier once per week.

VIII. A Stranger In A Strange World
Everything was going along so smoothly until that worm hole opened up, but isn't that usually the case? The vessel was pulled through into uncharted territory, leaving you and your crew stranded on a very alien planet. Now, to find a way home you must explore the planet and see what resources you have to work with. You just might bring home something unique.
Repeatable
Joint Optional
Requirement(s): Spacecraft
Reward(s): Strange Specimen x1
Time: 4 Days // 1,000 wpd

  • Strange Specimen [1,000z]
    Inventory Slots: 1
Description: (Strange Specimen's description varies based on what you described the Specimen to be in your 'A Stranger In A Strange World' Quest RPs)
Effect: If you have 4 or more Strange Specimen's in your Inventory, you may trade them in on Earth for any one item up to 2,500z.
