So, first impressions of Yardrat, sand… Blue sand at that. It’s everywhere. I’ve been here for twenty three minutes, and I’ve already got the shit in my underwear. It’s something, I tell ya. But the hotel is actually pretty nice. A big statue in the main plaza open to the roof of the building. Each floor had a balcony overlooking the plaza. Fountains, waterfalls, coi ponds, exotic Yardrat plants. It was really posh… wasn’t my style. I needed to get out of this environment. I saw this environment as a bit of a headache. I checked into my room and immediately went out on the street to find some foreign tail… I mean new, interesting people.

A few good looking Saiyan girls, but they were a little young, and they looked at me like they would like to test my strength. I suppose testing my strength for a Saiyan is the equivalent of humans judging the looks. So, Saiyan chicks dig me. I’ll have to keep that in mind when I get to Vegeta… IF I get to Vegeta. So I quickly walked past the Saiyans and caught them glimpsing my ass as I walked by. I gave ‘em a little shake and was on my way.

I was looking around this store when I saw this absolutely gorgeous human looking at some “Viva Papra Hamlet” T-Shirts. Her back was to me, but I could already tell she was my type. She reminded me of someone…

As I was trying to figure it out, she answered it for me.

“Lacy…?” That’s right, Vice Captain of the Royal Guard was here in civvies no less. She turned to me and let out a sigh.

“Jeez. I may have been ordered to make sure you behave yourself, but I was kind of hoping I wouldn’t have to talk to you…” she let out with a groan.

She SO wanted me. It was scary.

“So, Captain Vint didn’t think I could behave myself out here?”

“Glad I don’t have to explain it. I thought I would have to. Anyway, I’m here to make sure you don’t do something stupid, which is inevitable. Don’t make me step in, I’m rather enjoying my vacation.” Lacy said as she turned back towards the clothes in the shop.

“Sure thing, Lacy. Hmm. Maybe I’ll go start a bar fight or something. I hear the Yardratians have a thing called Goh-Koo Crater. Maybe I’ll make a Troy Crater right next to it. I like attention. That I do.”

Lacy had the death grip on a shirt; she turned toward me and shot me a stare that her mother certainly never taught her; consciously taught her anyway. She took two steps toward me and I stepped back in a flinch.

“I know what you are doing, and if I didn’t think you were serious, I’d call you on this bluff;” Lacy said as she quickly bought a shirt that had a picture of a famous baseball player from Earth saying ‘I’m going Yard-rat.’

“A good choice, when I get bored I could actually do something like that just to make things interesting;” I said with a prideful grin on my face; I have won.

“That’s most certainly not something to be proud of, Troy. It’s people like you that turn evil very easily because it’s more entertaining;” she said as she got her bag and followed me outside.

“So being evil is more entertaining than being the good guy? Hmm. Maybe a new career choice is in mind?” I said jokingly.

“Fine with me, if you go rogue, you won’t have to bother me anymore. I can’t stand jerks. I only put up with you because Captain Vint says I can’t kill you.”

“Oh my. Am I really that bad?”

“Yes;” no hesitation; no feeling regretful. She can’t hide these feelings for me. She’s so cute when she’s all tsundere with me.

“So any family to speak of?” I said changing the subject completely.

“That’s none of your damn business, but you aren’t listening, you’re just planning what you’re going to say next.”

“Yeah, that’s interesting. I’ve got two brothers myself. My mom raised us all on her own. My younger brothers are in college right now. I’m paying their tuition. Youngest is going to be a doctor, and the older one is going to be a scientist. Already got an internship with Capsule Corp. Mom‘s finally got a stable job working for a bank. She‘s actually dating the president of the bank, but don‘t tell anyone, that‘s hush-hush for now.”

“Wow, you actually care about someone other than yourself?”

“You there, sir! Would you like to help me put on a show? I’m in need of a capable fighter, and you seem to fit that build. I want to put on a show for the ages, can you help me?”

“You bet. I love to put on a show!”
