LOOK AT THIS FACE!
(Day 1)

He had said his goodbyes and said his piece to everyone in heaven. Namely Gohan and Master Roshi who had both been extremely helpful to the young warrior during his time there in heaven, but now it was time to go. It was time to escape the place known as Heaven to some, but to Alister it had been a purgatory. He had been forced to stay here and watched as his friends suffered, but now Alister knew he could escape and he could do it in style. He tensed up, his muscles growing larger, and his aura turning almost into a whirlwind around him. Gohan and Roshi, who had both come to see him off, watched as he transformed into the level beyond his normal form and then lifted off easily from the ground. For a moment he hung there as he tried to break the gravity which only got heavier and heavier as he tried to fly into the sky to escape the place he had been at for nearly a month. His aura grew more and more rampant as he exerted more and more energy as he tried to break through until finally he managed to do it. Blasting through what appeared to be some form of gravity and as he did so he blasted past the way which he would be traveling along for the next few days until he some how managed to escape this place. He remembered well what Gohan had told him about the dangers of trying to return.

"If you are caught...Yemma will send you to hell...or worse!"

Alister could not think of what could be worse than hell and feeling like he didn't want to test his luck he landed on the way and began to march a long it. Trying to conserve his energy for when he would truly need it. Alister found that walking was much harder than flying of course and was tempted on several occasions to simply just fly, but the need to conserve energy and fly under the radar easily over threw those thoughts rather quickly. He would need to be discreet, and flying around at his max power level would not be the right course of action if he indeed wanted to do that.

"This is gonna be a long walk and standing around like an idiot isn't going to be very effective. So...I guess this is it. This is when I finally begin my mission to return to the world of the living and do what I can to save the Legion's war efforts...hopefully nothing bad happens and if it does, hopefully it isn't so bad."

He said to himself as he let out a deep breath and then began to walk forward along the way. He found himself concerned about a great deal of things...his friends and allies were back on Vegeta and Earth fighting for his lives and knowing that increased his want to fly, but once again that was levied by his need to stay hidden. So...he continued on his path, not knowing what awaited him on the way, but knowing all too well what his destination was. King Yemma's Palace.

(Day 2)

The situation was dire of course. Everything he had been preparing for was happening as he was walking and the dire need of his fellow allies weighed heavily on his mind as he slowly made his way along the way, ignoring the other walkers who were on their way to heaven. A few tried to stop him and point him toward heaven, but he would pretend he didn't understand them. Which was easy due to the fact that the majority of them were creatures he had never seen before in his life. Who would have thought that the way could be so crowded with powerful fighters, some of which even dwarfed his massive power level in comparison. One particular fighter...a giant man who looked rather frightening, had a power level that would have made many brave fighters cry in their sleep. He didn't stop of course to ask them for training tips of course. He was on a mission, a mission that was of the most extreme importance.

"I wonder how much longer this trip is going to take if I'm hoofing it?"

He thought to himself as he made his way passed a pair of small little lizard people that seemed of a species he had not once seen in his entire life. He could only guess it would take him forever on foot and was once again tempted to just let his energy explode and fly off to do battle with whoever stood in his way, but the need for speed was not more important than the need for stealth. He was blending in with the masses and that was going in his favor as he seemed rather weak to be attempting what he was trying to do. One could only imagine that the guards, which there were a few guarding the way, were more paying attention to the stronger men passing on the way then the weaker ones. This was one of the few times that being the weaker fighter actually paid off and it felt really good to get away with his plan. He hoped that the success would continue, but something deep down told him that sooner or later the guards would become more strict and he would be forced to take action. He noticed the guards were on the weaker end of the spectrum and that the fear of Yemma was enough to force the men and women walking the way to continue the way they were walking and to avoid any sort of conflict with the King's plan for them.

After about twenty more minutes, Alister found himself at his first hassle. A checkpoint. Apparently Yemma was smarter than he looked because he had put up a rather impressive checkpoint, filled to the brim with guards of a wide variety of strength levels, and to say the least none of them looked friendly. Alister, of course, would try to walk by them, but as he did one of the guards began to shout at him as he shuffled by the checkpoint.

"Hey wait!"

Shouted the ogre as it drew closer to him and he knew he wouldn't be able to outrun him, so instead he turned around to face the guard and to see what he wanted.

(Day 3)

The ogre held up his shades right before his face and grinned like a fool as he put them in Alister's out stretched hand.

"You dropped these when you were walking passed us...by the way, why are you going this way?"

Alister blanked, he had no clue what the hell to say to this question, and he didn't want to rouse suspicion as to why he was traveling the way. For a moment he went over several possible answers until finally, running out of options, he replied.

"Yemma messed up my sentencing...I was suppose to go to hell."

The guard nodded his head and then began to walk back and for a second Alister wondered why it had been so easy to deter the guard from any other form of questioning. Then he realized that the guard had left because this was a common occurrence and that Yemma typically did miss a few. He reminded himself to laugh later that the God of the after life was just as susceptible to making mistakes as every day people were. For now, Alister needed to hurry, and get to Yemma's Palace before other people began to get curious about why he was heading toward the palace and not toward Heaven. After all? How many more guards would fall for the "He messed up my sentencing" speel. With new found purpose, Alister began to run the rest of the way, knowing that simply walking would not do for how dire the situation was, and after a while, nearly an hour or two, Alister began to feel dreary, but knew he was getting close. He could see in the distance a large palace stood and he could feel that this was where needed to go. This was Yemma's palace and inside there would more than likely be his ticket out of Heaven and back to Vegeta. Then it occurred to him that he really didn't know how to escape. Sure, he had broken the gravity, and had gotten threw the check point, but he had never once asked how to truly escape beyond getting to the way.

"Damnit..."

He muttered to himself as he stopped and sat down for a second to catch his breath after running for so long. He looked off into the distance, staring at the palisades of the palace, and wondering just how he was going to get out, and escape. He would have to brain storm before he went any further and that would take a bit longer. Even if he managed to get inside, he thought, they could easily just stop him, and take him to hell where he would most certainly not be having a good time. Alister growled in disgust at himself for not probing the situation while he had the chance, but soon he just decided to wing it. There was no way he was going to give up now and just return back to Heaven. No. Fucking. Way. He would escape and he would help his friends. Because right now they really needed him and he wasn't going to back down from a friend who needed him.

(Day 4)

Alister stood up and lifted his head to the sky, no longer would he dwell on the possibilities that he would fail now. He would complete the task that he had set out upon and there was nothing that would stop him from completing this mission. Alister began to run again, this time he looked determined, and ran faster than he had ever ran before. He breezed by another two checkpoints, not even stopping to talk to anyone there, and passed by several more men who were incredibly powerful before he finally reached the gates of the palace. For a second he stood there and took in the gates for all they were worth. He could tell that these gates had been standing for centuries and were made of a powerful stone and an even stronger wood to hold it in a frame. Alister crossed his arms across his chest, after readjusting his shades, and then began to hover up, making sure to hide his energy as he did so. He hovered right over the gate and to the other side and upon landing hid behind a shrubbery as several guards walked by. As he had thought there were a lot of guards in the palace and more than likely these would be the strongest of the lot. Alister didn't know if he would have to fight, but the thought did occur to him that he would have to break out his teachings earlier than anticipated to escape his prison.

"I'm not going down yet..."

He murmured to himself as he slunk passed a few guards who were not paying very good attention their surroundings, and made his way to what looked like a rather large hallway, a hallway that looked very familiar to the young half-saiyan. For a while he stood there, observing his location, and trying to remember specifically where he had to go to find Yemma's desk. More than likely, Yemma's desk was the key to his escape from this world, and his return to the world of the living. The mere thought of some how coming back to something like...The Final Countdown amused him for a second, but it didn't linger. Instead, Alister's mind went back to completing his mission, and returning to the world of the living. It didn't take him long to find Yemma's chamber. Yemma was busy judging souls, like usual, and Alister quickly began to think of a plan to somehow get at that desk and find a way to get back home. The problem of course was the giant ogre was sitting at his desk, judging souls, and literally not giving a damn about anything he was doing. He knew Yemma was a great man, but he wished Yemma would take his job more seriously. Maybe that was the opening he needed. He would walk passed the guards, then he would get at the desk, while Yemma was simply doing his job, and ignoring everything else. Maybe that would work. He rubbed the goatee he had been growing for the passed three weeks and then nodded his head. It was time to bust out.

(Day 5)

As Alister slipped by several guards who were simply watching the lines, the more, and more he began to feel like he was going to get passed Yemma and get to where he wanted to go. He would soon be home free and he could rejoin in the war effort to return the Tuffles their planet. However, no sooner had he gotten passed four of the ten guards in the room, did Yemma notice him.

"The hell is this!"

Yemma shouted at the top of his lungs, announcing Alister's presence to the room, and to the guards who quickly jumped into action to subdue him. Alister didn't fight. After all it would be foolish to do so as the giant ogre could just crush him like a gnat.

"Bring him here..."

The guards nodded their heads and dragged Alister, unwillingly, toward the giant man. When they finally reached his desk, they let him go, Alister could have ran, but he knew better. He didn't want to anger the ogre anymore than he had to.

"Why are you here? You are an already judged soul!"

"I know that, sir...but the war efforts on Vegeta are getting tougher and tougher for the Legion. I'm needed, sir...and I can't sit around any longer and wait for the shit to hit the fan. I need to rise up and fight, regardless of if you send me to hell or not...I will escape...and I will go home to help my friends no matter what you do to me!"

For a moment, the giant ogre king stared down at Alister, and then rubbed his large beard before he began to reply, pointing his finger at Alister as he did so.

"So...you are willing to go this far to aid your comrades...well, I admire that. Dedication to a cause is a very rare thing among mortals and the dead alike. I appreciate your honesty as well and wish to reward you with your life."

"You mean..."

"I'm sure bringing one man back to life would not be such a big deal. After all...you aren't that strong and I'm sure you will come back...some day."

Yemma grinned as he grabbed a box from inside his desk and put it down on the floor in front of Alister who looked at the box and then back to Yemma in confusion. Alister wondered what was inside the box and even more so what its' purpose was.

"Get inside and you will be given life and will be able to go to any planet that you desire."

For a little while longer, Alister stood there, not knowing what to think, and then turned to look at Yemma, grinning like a wildman.

"Thank you, King Yemma...you aren't such a bad guy after all..."

Alister made his way over to the box and stepped inside. Instantly everything went black and a sharp pain consumed him, but this was the pain of life, and he knew that because it felt very much like his physical body was being stabbed. Alister, all the while grinned, and then thought to himself.

"Here I come Northern Alliance...Alister Brand is back in action."

And just like that he was back on Vegeta, standing exactly where he had died three weeks prior. He looked around and took a deep breath, the polution filled air was a welcome aspect of his return to the world of the living. Meanwhile back at the Checkpoint. Yemma sat there, stewing over what Alister had said, and then in a loud voice he yelled.

"What the hell did he mean by 'as bad as they say'!?"
