Log 011 Little Glass Vial Time: 22:42 Location: Kai's Planet, Heaven “Again!” THWACK! “Again!” THWACK! “Again!” THWACK! Lishka threw another punch against the wooden (well, strong wood from Heaven, can't really break as easily) dummy, letting that noise float through the air. The night air was chilly as the female kept training with the kai, but each time he commanded to her, she just kept getting more frustrating. She has been training days on end now, as it was the only thing she could do in this time in the Afterlife, but the images she saw the other day were starting to get to her, and with each attack, the tears began to form slowly in her eyes, her technique was getting sloppy, and her strength was diminishing. It didn't take long for the blue man to notice, and he ceased with his commands, and looked at the female with a concerned look. “What's the matter, Doctor?” The female threw one more limp punch at the dummy, more like a slap, before resting her hand against it, and that's when the emotions began to set in. Her shoulders shook as everything that she had clammed up began to escape, as she pressed her forehead against wood. Tears began to run down her cheeks as she sobbed silently, and all the King Kai could do was just look onto her, and then he picked up. “It was that vision.... Wasn't it?” She nodded, inhaling slowly and wiping her eyes away quickly and trying to calm herself down quickly. “It... It was. Were you actually looking down at my family, watching them at that moment in time?” “I was. As keeper of the Northern Galaxy, I got to keep an eye on everyone.” She nodded once more, trying to piece everything together, she just felt that instead of training she should have been deep within the lab, letting the drone of the machines be her background noise and her busying her mind with her work. She needed to work, she needed to get herself through this, and this “Training” wasn't helping her at all. He felt this need, and placed a hand on her shoulder. Before she could even ask what he was doing, in a blink of an eye they were off his planet and into a lab of sorts. A blue haired older gentleman popped his head out from behind a large piece of equipment, curious about his newcomers. Lishka looked around in confusion, taking it all in. It was... a robotics lab for sure, tons of trinkets and gears and wiring everywhere, with tons of half-finished products laying about on the tables, against the walls that were covered in blue prints, stacked in a corner. However, she wasn't feeling something that she needed to do was in her typical line of work. She wanted to do something in her memory of her younger brother, Loren: a line in genetics. “Dr. Toft, I presume?” The blue haired man came up to her, offering a hand for her to shake. Lishka looked at him ina confused manner before nodding slowly, taking his hand as well. “Lishka, this is the Original Dr. Briefs.” King Kai cut in, a smile on his lips as those hands rested behind his back. “I am going to let you do some work here... it seems you need to be in your comfort zone for now. We'll resume training when you are ready!” And with a nod, he disappeared again. Dr. Briefs smiled at her as much as he could with that thick mustache, that little black cat on his shoulder giving a soft “mew”. “It's a pleasure to meet you Doctor. Please, make yourself at home. We also have a microbiology lab around the corner just in case you feel like changing it up.” She gave a nod. “Thank you, Doctor. Also... do you know what has happened to your Capsule Corps?” “I do.” He replied with a heavy sigh. “It's a shame of where it has gone, but what can I do except being ashamed of it?” Another nod from the quiet female as she turned and began to head to the microbiology lab, stepping into it, she felt so weird. This... wasn't her scene at all. But for Loren, she was going to get herself accustomed to it. Especially since he gave her that letter, which she still hasn't opened, despite her curiosity getting to her. She found a lab coat hanging by the door. Slipping it on, she felt the warmth like a child would get from a security blanket. Time to get to business. I have no idea what I'll make.... but.... I have to do something. She grabbed various vials of chemicals, and began to mix things and pour things together. Her mind was preoccupied with the thoughts of her family slowly slipping to the grasp of this war, and wasn't even really paying attention to what she was mixing together in a beaker. The mixture went from clear, fizzled into a black color before the last change was added, to a murky blue. She put a cap on it and gave it a shake, the color changing from that opaque dark blue to a glowing sky blue. The rapid change actually pulled the doctor out of her thoughts as she stared at the concoction in the bottle. The glowing was hypnotizing, to say the very least. It was luring the doctor in, making her wonder what would happen... if.... Fingers danced around in a drawer, and then it paused, wrapping around an object and pulling it out. It was an injection gun, and while she filled up the battery to place into the gun, she felt a chill of excitement run up her spine. I wonder if brother felt anything like this... Once the battery was filled and it was placed in the injecting gun, she inhaled slowly. “Here goes nothing. It can't kill me, so I have nothing to worry about... right?” She turned over her left arm, and tapped her forearm, trying to find a good vein. Once one was visible she placed the injection gun against her skin. The metal against her skin gave her goosebumps. With an inhale, she pulled the trigger. It sounded like a nail gun going off, as the shot was delivered to her. Immediately she felt the burning in her veins. Steel blue eyes watched the blue substance float through her veins, before fading away... but the burning feeling trailed behind, leaving her body was on fire. She stood from her seat, but that was when she truly felt the effects. That left shoulder jerked and she slammed into the cabinet behind her with such force, it crumbled upon impact and toppled over her. Crawling out from under the wreckage, she began to move towards the door. Her heart began to race immediately, as she felt.. dizzy? No, that wasn't the right term for it. Focused? That was more like it. She looked at a clock ticking away slowly, but she felt she was breaking time itself. She looked over at the injection gun still loaded with the material, before running out of the room, breaking down the door in the process. Dr. Briefs poked his head out of his lab, and saw that Lishka was.... wired? Wired is a good word. Wired, he hid himself back in his lab, wanting to stay away from that as much as he could. She threw a punch into a wall, puncturing it as easy as if she was punching a sheet of paper. That caught her off guard. She pulled her hand out slowly and looked at that fist, unsure of what to say. However, she just inspected those slender digits. What did I do...? [1,299 Words] [+620 EXP // +50 Zenni] Edited by Lishka, Jul 8 2011, 02:49 PM.

![]() "The Tuffles are regarded as some of the universe's greatest scientists -- and unfortunately all scientists know that rodents only go so far in terms of trial runs. The Zeta Injection is one of many risky, scientific endeavors they have undertaken on their own bodies. The injection provides a small boost in physical prowess, allowing the Tuffle increased strength and endurance. However, it's main purpose is the opening of neural pathways that allow for heightened brain functions. Side effects include stomach cramps, increased blood pressure, and possibly death."
