Dual Dreams is the first full-fledged Game Maker RPG. And, the first real time RPG made in Game Maker, as well. This game, being a real time RPG, will give you direct control over your character in battle; you will be able to run up to enemies and attack them, dodge their attacks, and blast them with magic. You will not be limited to standing on one side of the field as the enemy stands on the other, waiting for your ATB gauge fills so you can run up and attack them. No, this is a full control RPG. You wil get full control of not only your character; but, you will also get control over the other character. The allies run off an AI, as instructed by you. You give them a strategy, they adhere to it. You can also tell them to use certain skills or magic in battle. Using properly strategy and skills are decisive as to how the battle will turn out. The battle system is not all this game has. We also have a great story. Dual Dreams is about a man named Chase Norman. He's twenty years old and lives in Erosion, his local continent's capitol. He used to work as a foot soldier in the city's militia, the primary opposition to the king's rule. For, Erosion and its continents are not free; they are controlled by the Retme family, a dynasty of kings that has imperialism on the mind. But, due to certain leadership changes with the militia, Chase had to quit. He hung around Erosion a bit, but one day left mysteriously and for seemingly no reason. He had gone off, it seems, to wonder the world for a job. And so, he eventually ends up in Istok, a desert town south of Erosion. He walks into the bar looking for a job there, but is instead confronted by a publically renown mercenary girl known as Maxime. She flat out offers him a job after hearing little of him, and Chase takes it, needing whatever he could get. And so, we have the starting point and center of the game's start. Chase is Maxime's apprentice and will help her do various work in the field. However, this work is terminable; Chase soon finds himself caught up in something he would never had imagined. So, if you're interested, hang around the board a bit. Check by every now and then; we'll update. Also, feel free to use the board's facilities. I've added some fun forums just for you guys. Thanks for reading, and enjoy your stay! |
