I just posted an invitation on the North Carolina discussion board for any of them interested in our board, to please feel free to join us.

If you know of anywhere else I could do that give me a holler (as we say in the Lone Star State)

Also, added a "Welcome" topic on the main page (near the bottom) for new or old members alike to say hello and post a message. If you want to add your "bios" to this topic, that would be good :D

Okay ... a recommendation ... this is general discussion, right? Just want to say how I've been enjoying Russell Brand just lately. Hardly a polished Englishman but entertaining as hell. He's written two books which I recently finished (My Booky Wook and Booky Wook 2) and pops up in movies like 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and 'Get Him to the Greek' and will be playing Dudley Moore's old role in the upcoming remake of Arthur. He is arrogant but writes the way he speaks (which I adore) and has one walloping shiner of a mind. Russell Brand reeks of the England I knew ... uncivilized civilization.
So if you've nothing better to do, try out one of his books or movies on for size.

Arlie-I saw him in the Sarah Marshall movie. What a hoot! He is the kind of person that you can't watch in one thing. You have to watch him in various media to get the full flavour. His interview on Larry King was great. Can't get over the Katy Perry marriage.

Arlie, I know who this is now!!! I didn't recognize the name, but his pic on wikipedia made me recognize him right away. I'll look out for his work.

Hi, Arlie--I only have seen a brief clip of an interview with Russell Brand, so i don't know him well. But i do like quirky people, so I spotted him on a netflix search in a film of "Prospero" with Helen Mirren. Netflix doesn't have the film yet, so i put it on my "Saved" list. I have yet to search for him on the librarys catalog. Thanks for the recommend.

SCOTT--"The Line of Beauty" is wating for me at the library--i might get to see it this weekend.

Hello Gail. Welcome! Glad to see someone from North Carolina here. I hope you'll post often! This board has only been around since the end of December, so we're just getting started. If you're so inclined, please go to the main home page http://s4.zetaboards.com/EE_Fans/index/ At the very top, you'll see a "Welcome" category, and under that a "Hello" thread. Feel free to say hi and say whatever you want about yourself. Also, feel free to share info about this board to anyone who might be interested.
