Scott, on the other board they have something called "View Active Topics". A person clicks on that, and it shows just the new stuff. Its nice for dopes like me who are trying to click all over the place to find the recent stuff. If its easy for you to locate, can we add it to this board? Its a huge time saver:)

I think that is an excellent idea V., but I have no idea how to do it and I've searched and searched. I did send a help ticket to Zetaboards....we'll see if they respond. I know this board has a lot of capabilities, such as changing the color scheme, but much of it is way over my head. Luckily the basics are pretty easy to figure out.

One thing I've noticed (I think anyway) is if you look at all the threads in a particular category, on your left you'll see what looks like a notebook. If it's solid in color, that means that there are posts you haven't read. If it's not solid, then you have read all the posts in that particular thread. Does that make sense? See if it works for you.

We have had active topics all along! Ok big news everyone!!!!!! When you are on the first page, and scroll down to see the names of those who are presently on the board, to the right are wee small letters that say Administration, active topics, etc. Click on "active topics" and you dont have to go digging. It really helps me!

blimey OMG, you're right Velvet! I had no idea. Wish I could get that on every page though. If you click on that everyone, just look to your left the solid "notebooks" have posts that you haven't yet read. The ones that aren't solid do not have new posts. Did I explain that correctly V.?

You are right Scottie...I never noticed that. Florrie said she would be happy to tell you how to put active topics on the top of the page...just ask her, she is really nice!

We now have a "View Active Topics" link on every page!!! It's towards the upper left...have a look. Click on that anytime and it will show you the most active topics.

Once you get there, look over to the left, you will see blue and red "notebook-looking-things". If it is solid blue or solid red, then there are posts in that thread that you have not read.

If it is not solid, then you've read all the posts in that thread.

Play with this and let me know if it works for you....it's an easier way to find the threads that you have not read.

Velvet, thanks for pointing me in the direction of finding this 77!

79! You've done an excellent job with the "View Active Topics," Scott. I was using the dates and times on the right of the posts to determine what I had or had not read. This is MUCH easier.
