Thought I would share this with all of you. There is an active board, just like this one, called Crane Estate. Here is the link:Crane Estate It is very large, over 12,000 members, and there can be 100's of member on it at the same time.

It has many tv shows on there to click on and watch, some of them British. One of the shows is EastEnders, and someone uploads the current shows daily. They also have older episodes in the Classic section. This section is only for VIP members. To become a VIP member, one must have 100 posts. I have been so curious about what was on that classic section as far as EE, so I decided to plow through over this past week and get to #100, which I did last night. Presently they have episodes from 1995, 1996, 2008, 2009, 2010 on the VIP access section. There are many warnings not to download these to other boards, or they will take away membership.

I thought I would mention this to you all in case you were interested, as you are becoming a pro on this board. If there are any shows that you are curious about, I could check on there before you signed up. They also have Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks on there, along with probably 50 others. It does have more of an emphasis on soap operas, but they do have other shows. Some people comment and chat about the shows, but thousands just watch and never post. My name on Crane Estate is velvet007 if you ever did go on there.

I'm more interested in chatting like we do here. Is there much of that? Since they don't have 2003 episodes I might be out of the loop.

You're right about everyone getting the hang of this board, give yourselves a round of applause!! 5!

Isn't this much better than Facebook?

Yes, Scott, I agree with your last post--we have all come a long way. I'm still struggling with posting a picture, and I've read your directions about 10 times! Maybe my failure has something to do with the Mac.

I wouldnt even suggest chatting on Crane, unless you had a question. I only did it to get to 100. They have shows that you cant get on regular tv, like Boardwalk Empire. Some people watch shows that are no longer on the air on Crane. Basically its just so you guys know another source for British tv shows.

How do you watch them? Is it streaming video or more like youtube where you can download the whole thing and then watch?

Its both. Some people have put up the download versions, and others the click on type. I don't do downloads though-they make me nervous.

I checked it out last night. The 100 posts thing is odd...I get that they want you to put in some effort to watch the videos and also that they are trying to fly under the radar since they are posting things that they shouldn't, but the fact that they set it up so it's easy to get to 100 by just playing games and saying "me too!" to a post makes it feel a bit goofy. I'm curious enough to play along though just to see what I can watch. I suppose it's more fun to post when you actually are having a discussion about a show. :-)

You are so right Jill. It is goofy. Some people are really committed to it with their 800 postings, and others are just trying to get to 100. I didn't even know about the games. It is another to connection to EE though, so I will pop in every so often to check it out. Surprisingly nice people on that board though. I would have thought there would be a lot of crazies with over 12k but everyone seems reasonable.
