This email request came through from Minnesota. I didn't even know they had a fan club. I thought you all would get a big kick out of the name:

Easties,
The next pledge night for EastEnders will be March 4th. from 9 to 11:45PM at the tpt studios in St. Paul. We are looking for a minimum of 20 people from our fan club to answer phones taking pledges for EastEnders. Please let me know as soon as possible if you can help.

Thank you,
Brenda Belland

Wow! 52! They'll probably think we stole their name. Who did you get the email from V? If KBDI had helped us organize something we wouldn't be in the shoes we are in now. 127!

Do you know any more details about the likelihood that they'll get the money?

The email went to the lady who gets the eps from her brother in Minn., and she forwarded it to me. It came from the organizer at Tpt.
They r doing the telethon fundraiser and we are doing our own the next day. They will mail all our checks together, so tpt will get them within a week. Hopefully they will keep us posted.

It sounds like they have their act together. I wonder how much they need. When/if any of us contribute, it might be best for us to send checks to you. What do you think Velvet?

That may be a good idea Scott. The checks would be made out to TPT. I could collect them all and have Maria, our president, mail them together in one envelope with the explanation that it is only going to EastEnders. In this way, you would all get your tax write off, and tpt would understand there is group support. I know Maria would really appreciate it. She always wants to do the right thing by showing PBS support. I don't imagine this would be until June, until after you guys are getting the episodes. If the station receives onsies/twosies, they may wonder, "Why in the heck is someone from Texas mailing us a check?" Does that make sense?
