Is it Spring where you are yet? Everything has been blooming here (North Texas) since the end of February and it's in full swing now. It's supposed to be 85 today! We've had the a.c. on several times...too early for me! The heat and humidity just about killed me last summer. Now if this were happening in Colorado 58! it would be a different story.

54!

My crocuses are up! The weather has been beautiful, with bouts of Colorado spring winds. My AC comes on early because of allergies exacerbated by the dang winds--still it has been gorgeous here!
Oi! I'm finkin' on it!

We are having a cold spring so far. Yesterday it rained so much and hailed. Water is at a premium in California, so it's always nice to be able to turn off the sprinklers for a few days.

Velvet, although this doesn't seem to apply now, whenever you mention the weather, I can't help but think of this song, which you may have heard !
141!

California Dreamin'

All the leaves are brown
(All the leaves are brown)
And the sky is gray.
(And the sky is gray).
I've been for a walk
(I've been for a walk)
On a winter's day.
(On a winter's day).

I'd be safe and warm
(I'd be safe and warm)
if I was in L.A.
(If I was in L.A.)
California dreamin'
(California dreamin') on such a winter's day.

Stopped in to a church I passed along the way.
Well I got down on my knees
(got down on my knees)
And I pretend to pray.
(I pretend to pray).
You know the preacher likes the cold.
(preacher likes the cold).
He knows I'm gonna stay.
(knows I'm gonna stay).
California dreamin'
(California dreamin') on such a winter's day.

(Bridge)

All the leaves are brown
(All the leaves are brown)
And the sky is gray.
(And the sky is gray).
I've been for a walk
(I've been for a walk)
On a winter's day.
(On a winter's day).

If I didn't tell her
(If I didn't tell her)
I could leave today.
(I could leave today).
California dreamin' (California dreamin')on such a winter's day,
California dreamin' on such a winter's day,
California dreamin' on such a winter's day.

I know the song well Scott! Reminds me not to complain 14! Today is gorgeous, like a perfect 70. But they said this afternoon until midnight that big rain is coming.

Rain??? What's that? I live in DRY Colorado. I get to use my Winnie-the-Pooh umbrella (bought in London) once or twice a year if I'm lucky.

I live in DRY Colorado.
Lucky you! The only umbrella I had for years was a very small travel one that I only used in the UK. I hear what you're saying! Actually that's still the only one I have.

O.K., it's starting to get ridiculously hot and no rain, lots of nasty humidity. What am I going to do?

I miss my Colorado. 58!

Texas is not the place for me!
It's not for me either Jill, but because of finances and various personal reasons, that's why I'm here. My family is from Texas. I wouldn't mind living in Seattle some day. Yes I like rain!!!

You are lucky Jill! I, for years, wished I had been from Colorado. Do you have one of those green and white "Native" bumper stickers?

No, because I'm not technically a native. My dad was in the military and we moved here when I was one. So, I'm almost native. I don't think they have a plate for that. lol

I almost got a "semi-native" bumper sticker, but never did. I felt like I sorta qualified since I lived there for 20 years.
