I spy a Launderette! 42!
"Stacey: The bird in the café she's a bit up herself but not too bad. Yolande in the shop, she's up herself. She's all right sometimes. Pauline in the launderette, she's a right old dragon and she's up herself. The other one just goes on about God all day. My Nan's a battleaxe. My cousin Mo's all right but my cousin Zoë, wait till you get a load of her."
Ruby: Do you ever say anything nice about anyone?"

In re launderettes -- Dot's manglings of "Papadopoulos," as in the owner of EE's launderette, have been so funny in this current set of episodes! I think the last one I heard sounded like "Mr. Papyrus."

I've noticed that too Mary Ann!! I've heard Pauline mispronounce it in the past. I remember one episode he was on, but it was quite some time ago.

I think back in the 90s....I didn't realize it was so old until I saw young Martin.

Enjoyed the clip--I think it might even been from the late 1980s.

Pete Beale left in 1993, so that is the latest date it could be. One of the comments on yt says it is in fact 1993, if that can be trusted.

Too right Mary Ann, Dot STILL invents new versions of his name. I don't know how she does it after all these years. Its very subtle, but its her schtick.

Not the same actor. James Alexandrou came in 1996, but the younger actor played him as a baby until teenager starting in 1985.

The way I knew Angie was when Mark said "Are you ready Martin".
