I ate there on my first trip to the UK!!! A traditional English dinner: Roast Beef with gravy, Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes, Peas, Carrots. It was WONDERFUL! For all you folks who have never been to London, put this place on the top of your list. It's just a few steps away from Samuel Johnson's house, and, although, the house is pretty "bare bones," it's still worth a visit. Thanks for reviving one of my fondest memories of England, Scott.

My pleasure Bobbie! I've eaten there twice, I believe and I sat at I think Charles Dickens' seat. I have a picture somewhere of the small plaque, but it didn't turn out very well.

Oh the history...I bet it smelled "old" there. What a neat experience you both shared at different times. |
