An old statue somewhere in England!

That the neat thing about those older countries...all of the statues. There are some great statues in New York in the parks.

Think I've seen this one in Russell Square park - looks familiar. Either Queen Charlotte or Queen Anne (either way, it was highly idealized). Either that, or I'm making it up!

P.S. Googled and I was wrong on several counts. The statue I saw was Queen Charlotte in Queens Square and looks nothing like your wonderful picture, Scott! Guess I don't have a "photographic" memory (that's why they invented cameras ...). Anyway, great pic. I have tons of statue pics I've taken over the years. Nothing like Europe -- I agree.

Interesting, Scott! I actually spent a night in High Wycombe, but didn't know about this place. I was jet lagged after taking a train there and picking up a car that Volvo (which has a facility near there and is an industry "partner") lent me for a week and just spent the night to crash before driving to my rental cottage in the Cotswolds. It was what they call an Estate Wagon there -- everyone I met loved the car, but it was pretty big, and all that right hand driving side and left-hand manual shift, etc., and driving solo is not anything I want to repeat soon! Would have been nice to have taken time to see Heghenden Manor. Sigh. Another time ...

I've never tried it Joelle....too much of a 179!

I suppose if I moved there, I might take formal driving lessons and give it a go though.
