I see you were up late or early again, Scott. My sympathies for the lost sleep.

This picture calls out for a story--it has a mysterious and desolate mood.

I read somewhere that old time farmers kept livestock in the house with them because the animals helped warm it up at night.

Years ago I knew a man in Colorado Springs who refinished furniture and re-caned chairs. Or maybe he just bid out the refinishing jobs, because he said that his wife did the actual work out in an old chicken coop, and that he kept chickens as pets in the house. I pictured her with one leg chained to the floor as she worked.

It made a good story, anyway.

Oi! I'm finkin' on it!

I don't have a story Mary Ann, but I like yours. The Yorkshire Dales are absolutely beautiful. Just watched "Calendar Girls" the other night and it made me think of my two trips to that area.

Great photo, Scott! It DOES call out for a story, Mary Ann. You should write it.

I loved that area of England. The city of York is also very interesting. The York Minster is breath-taking.

Love this one! The uneven roof makes me want to see the inside. I can imagine sitting on that stone wall in the back and looking out over the farm land. I bet sunrise/sunset from there would be great!
