A meeting with a fellow Crime Lord; Closed - Azrael

Altag Zann
Altag was tired from the day's events, but he had one more thing he had to do before he went to sleep. He had called his fellow crime lord Azrael into his quarters - they had to discuss important matters regarding the recent events on the planet Ilum, where recently a quite large force of Consortium soldiers had been defeated by the forces of the Empire dwelling there. They didn't have many soldiers to spare and another invasion on Ilum was impossible at the present. But he had an idea - they would bribe the lead commander of the army of the Empire to join their cause - just like his uncle would have done. Altag was confident that this would work, because the Empire officers were there because of their hunger for more power and that's exactly what Altag would do for him. He sat on his chair and waited for Azrael to arrive, looking at the garden of the Zann palace on Ryloth. As much as he tried to be strong and strict, he couldn't help but admire the view. Ryloth really was a magical planet.

Azrael strode confidently through the halls of the palace, flanked by Lucifer. Altag wanted to meet with him, probably concerning those Empire soldiers. Azrael hoped he would have a convenient solution, namely, kill them all. He was itching for a good fight, and was bored of languishing in the castle all day. He waited at Altag's door as the guards confirmed that he should be there, and strode in. This was actually the first time he had seen this new Crime Lord, and he liked what he saw. "Sir", he said bowing to his superior."Why did you wish to see me?"

Altag turned towards the person that had just entered his chambers. He smiled and greeted Azrael, someone he liked very much. " Please, Azrael, just call me Altag, these official greetings are beyond me. We are equals now, aren't we, chosen by the Zann Consortium to lead it to victory and galactic conquest? " he said, grinning at his fellow Crime Lord. Despite what he had just said, Altag always liked to be superior to someone, or at least that same someone thinking that Altag was his superior, but it didn't go very well with Azrael. " So, you're wondering why I called you here. Well, I suspect you've already guessed that we're wanting revenge over those extremely stupid Imperial soldiers that dared to attack our army on Ilum. And now, I called because I have a plan. " he said, waiting for any reaction from the Azrael.

Azrael nodded. This was as he expected. "Is this plan the sneaky type, or the direct type? Because either way, I'm your killer." He lowered himself onto a chair, and Lucifer lay at his heels. He hoped this plan would live up to Tyber's standards: an incompetent leader would lead to trouble in the Consortium, and that would mean thinning out their already-stretched troops. A situation to be avoided at all costs - even, perhaps, if that cost was Altag Zann.

Altag regarded Azrael carefully as his fellow Crime Lord sat, his pet on his heels. He had always wondered what Azrael found in that creature - Altag found it repulsive. But, he thought, everyone had his strange sides. He waited a little and continued: " I expected you would say that, and I'm grateful for your suggestion to contribute to our cause and I will surely have use of you as our killer. So, to make a long story short, it's the sneaky type of plan where we kill the lead officer and leave the fools open to attack. But the point is, how to do it? " he asked, leaving his question hang in the air.

"Ah, that's easy: me," Azrael grinned maliciously. You needn't worry about the specifics: just point him out, and I'll get the job done." He was beginning to enjoy this. It had been too long since he had a good kill, and while few jobs gave him a challenge, maybe this would be a rare exception. "I'm your man. He stood up and reached across the table to shake hands with Altag.

The hand-shake was strange to Altag, but he didn't turn it away. He almost laughed at the sentence: " I'm your man. " because, technically, Azrael was no man. After they shaked hands, Altag bellowed for them to sit down again. " Alright. You're going to assassinate the victim, but before we do the actual kill, we must make some preparations. Ilum is protected by a big number of Imperial Ships and getting through that blockage won't be an easy job. We need to make a diversion. The Imperial Officer is located in the Command Center on the planet. Now, I will go and make the diversion with the Merciless. Any thoughts on it by now? " he asked.

OOC: The Merciless is Tyber Zann's Command Ship. :)

"Very well. I suggest that I ride with you in the Merciless until we reach the blockade, at which time you deploy ten escape pods, one of which will contain me, the rest of which will contain plants, to display life signs in the Empire's scans. Then, you provide covering fire while all the escape pods land on the planet at varying locations. I will also have a plant of the same kind in my pod, and I will wipe hide any traces of my presence. If you can destroy enough of their ships, they may assume that your attack was the expected retaliation, and the pods were all mere diversions. When the job is complete (you can leave that part to me) I will send out a coded message from the Command Center, informing you of the necessity for a pickup. I can then take a ship from the planet to our rendezvous point." Azrael stopped, and looked questioningly at Altag. "Does that sound sufficient?"

" You are worthy to be a Crime Lord, Azrael Mal'akh. The point is, where shall we find these plants you speak of? As far as I know, there aren't any in the gardens of Ryloth. Or, wait, are there? " Altag was confused. The plan really was genius, but these plants were very rare - the known Corals of Life. Altag had heard there are such in Ryloth, but in the depths of the planet. Then again, Azrael may have these plants right now, the Crime Lord thought, he was always full of surprises.

OORP: I was just thinking of plants in general, to show up on the scanners as life forms, so that the ships in the blockade will assume that the escape pods are occupied. We COULD do special plants if you want, but that wasn't part of my plan. ;)
"I have in the Garden a species of plants, Corals of Life, which almost exactly correspond with standard humanoid life forms when scanned. We can use them for the mission." He bowed once more to Altag. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go make preparations." On that note, he left the room.
