I know someone... Someone who is a fucking racist and brags about it all the fucking time, this someone also considers himself a Nazi and hates anything that isn't white for no apperent fucking reason without taking into accout the strife and pain these people went through. This person, who shall remain nameless is one of the reason why this planet... Humanity is so fucked up. What I hate more then anything, is people turning a blind eye to the problems of this world, our fellow man suffering all over the world, dying of hunger and dying of war while people ingore this by forming a shell around them... One where they occupy themselves with video games or movies or anything, when I try to talk about problems in the world with people, they turn away and talk about something like cellphones or fucking movies they saw. Completely ingoring the fact that there fellow man is suffering, caring not because it doesn't have a impact on there lives. I recently seen how this world is so messed up, the said person speaking of people and creeds in such a fasion makes me sick to my stomach, people who rather think about what they don't have instead of what they have and ingore the people who wishes to they could eat on a daily bases. I know people like this, And I'm not going to be one of them. Why is changing the world so hard? Because is it too big? is it because there are too many people? Is it because the world doesn't need changing?! No, The reason is because only a very small popluation of people actually care of these people. I donate, give away food, cloths, my paycheck sometimes and try my best to make the world a better... Now, I'm going to try harder. This world is scum right now and it needs people to change it, Men like Micheal Jackson who gave millions to help people worldwide, and people like Mother Teresa and Gandhi who've tried to hard to change the world, only to be mocked and rediculed by pop culture... People can come on here now and say how they feel about it, but It doesn't matter. The world needs to be changed but the problem is that there isn't enough people who is willing to give a damn to save it. Where have the good men and women gone? |

Alright. I'll be honest here. First off, you have a huge point. For a bit, I didn't want to reply simply cuz of what my answer is. So you have a point in how people avoid this sort of stuff. But the reason I don't help out is simply because I'm lazy. I'll admit it. I like to complain about the state of the world, but I do little to try and change it. So there. You might think less of me now, but I'm willing to admit what a hypocrite I am. |

You honestly think that Mother Theresa and Gandhi are ridiculed? Yes, there are a good amount of jokes about them, but in the world of comedy, the only safe place is nowhere. Most of the comedians who make a joke about them recognize how great of people they were-- much of the joking comes from "well what if they weren't?" It's a comedian's form of respect-- adding a flaw that isn't there because there are so few to begin with. But yes, there is a small amount of humanity today that doesn't realize that this is the world-- that Nazis were very definitely the bad guys, and that others are human. The fact of the matter is, the world is big; it's hard to change. Most people have a hard enough time supporting themselves, so they have to turn a blind eye to those less fortunate. By the time they have extra money, they've forgotten entirely. Thankfully, however, there are still things like food drives, soup kitchens, and of course, about half of the things sponsored by the church (church budgets tend to be "make sure we can pay our property tax, then feed those guys in Africa"). If you're raised in a church, you'll see massive loads of charity-- By Kids 4 Kids is the one that always comes to my mind because it was so heavily stressed in my school that we couldn't switch the boxes out fast enough. I could throw some sarcasm bashing you here but I won't 'cuz I'm trying to cut back. :3 |

The world is a big place, however the power of numbers can prevail over such a thing. Just think if everyone in the country was asked to give 5 dollars to charity once a month, hell even a year for that matter, It can change a lot of lives in the world and 5 dollars isn't really considered a huge sum of money for that matter. Furthermore, I can understand, at my school we have a house system like Hogwarts, and you can earn points by bringing in cans of food for the needy. I tend to bring in a nice bit of food, as do a lot of people. The Nazis came to power because Germany was so badly treated during the years after WWI. There beliefs were extreme and somepeople followed them because they had no other light to turn too in the sea of darkness... However, this person is just a hateful fuck who thinks hatred among races, He wasn't treated badly by any races or nation, he lived a normal life, he just hates these people. Thats Inhuman. |

*nod* I understand the Nazi regime fairly well, and realize why it happened. Why anyone would proclaim themselves a Nazi, though... >.> In Germany, doing so gets you thrown in prison. But yes-- that's the basic thinking behind the March of Dimes and charity walks and all kinds of organizations. "For one dollar a month, you can give this starving African child... a Ferrari." |
