George was originally played by John Chester in 1981, singing Old Deuteronomy with Quaxo and Munkustrap, Skimbleshanks with Rumpleteazer and was one of Growltiger's crew. He was replaced by Geoff Davids in 82, who sang the same parts through 83. In 84, the show was revamped, and George, now played by Wayne Fowkes, lost his main singing parts, but remained one of the crew, and was added as the double of Macavity, who had previously been played by Mungojerrie. In 1986, George was dropped from London altogether with the part if Macavity going to Peter Challis as Coricopat. In 87 was reinstated, now played by Steven Wayne (original Admetus from 81 onwards, Mungojerrie in 86). The part of Macavity was given to Sandy Strallen as Admetus, where it still remains. On top of this, the part of the Rumpus Cat was removed from Alonzo, and given to George. Steven Wayne stayed on as George/Rumpus until he eventually left the show in 2000, totaling 19 years in the first cast of the London production. Other Georges: World Tour 01-... Moscow 05-06 Glenn Daniel Nilsson - Goteborg, Sweden 06. Victor was first added to the London production in 1982, played by Chris Beeching. He was the only character added to the London run that was not in the original (Admetus, Bill Bailey, Electra and Etcetera were present, but are sometimes only listed as "kittens"). He's nowhere near as facinating is he? Oh, well. Other Victors: London 82-02 Australia 2000 World Tour 01-... Poland 03 Goteberg, Sweden 06 Now, Quaxos, who are not Misto! Vienna 83-90 Amsterdam 87-88 (Was also Mungojerrie then swiched to doubling with Pouncival/Ghengis) Paris 89 (was also Ghengis) Zurich 91-92 (was also Jemima for some reason.) Buenos Aires 93 Euro Tour 94-95 (again, Jemima) Australia 2000 World Tour 01-... Poland 03 Goteborg, Sweden 06 (Was also Macavity) Productions with Pouncival and Carbucketty: Broadway 82-87 (Carbucketty changed to Mungojerrie at the same time Etcetera changed to Rumpleteazer when Broadway took up the Vienna staging of their song) Vienna 83-90 Australia/New Zealand Tour 89 World Tour 01-... London 84-85 had neither. Productions with Tumblebrutus and Bill Bailey: Vienna 83-90 World Tour 01-... Goteborg, Sweden 06 (Was chorus version of Mungojerrie) Productions with Sillabub and Jemima: Tokyo 83-?? Buenos Aires 93 Australia 2000 World Tour 01-... Goteborg 06 (Was chorus version of Rumpleteazer) With the exception of Goteborg, all of them had Sillabub as the major character, and Jemima in the chorus. Productions with Plato and Admetus: Film 98 Australia 2000 World Tour 01-... Goteborg 06 Goteborg had both as chorus, the others had Plato doubling as Macavity and Admetus as chorus. |

Anything else you can come up with! Also, can I ask for the updated file of cast lists, please? I've started working on a page for them, including some interesting facts about cast memebers that I know of, like how Brian Blessed was in Blackadder and John Partridge is in Eastenders. |
