We are the indomitables and exhort others to depart from the standard model of many Runescape/World of Warcraft clans/guilds that is based in simple, primitive running around without tactics. We have Evolved from the Cavemen and have enough brains to plan simple tactics! We protect and preserve the Loyalty of players and help each other to learn and be successful in Runescape/World of Warcraft and encourage others to join with us. Those who violate the values for the good of all, shall be warned or punished. The keeping of values of The Empire of Elegance clan is what demonstates a player as one of us. Departing from the values of EoE clan is understood as a departure from this clan/guild. We invite and recommend all members of the EoE Clan/guild to join our forum. Be sure to follow the protocols of the forum accordingly. Our forum Rules are: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who do they apply to Everyone, nobody is excused from them, and it is the users responsibility to keep up to date with changes to the rules Are these rules likely to change Yes, rules may be changed after discussions in the Admin Area. Behaviour Rules Rule 1 - No Spamming No Spamming Allowed! Spamming is usually pointless messages posted simply to increase a user's post count. We consider messages less than three words long, or messages that are only a smiley to be spam. S = Stupid P = Pointless A = Annoying M = Messages Rule 2 - No Advertising This is a tricky topic. Please message me if you feel that this is unfair or to ask me questions on this one. This forum will not tolerate users making reference to specific websites constantly within their posts. Advertising in signatures must be limited to a text link naming the site and giving a short description. You can give reference to websites if they will help a member of the community. Exceptions to this rule include: > Obviously, advertising (buying or selling) in-game items through trade in-game in the market forum is allowed > You can post helpful websites in the Links forum. Rule 3 - No Scamming This one speaks for itself. You are not allowed to misguide, trick, take advantage of or however else you put it, Scam. Scamming will not be tolerated . Impersonating any developer, member, administrator or moderator of the Empire of Elegance or from Jagex/Runescape/World of Warcraft/Blizzard or any other website is against the rules. Scamming will get you immediately permanently banned. Its obvious and its low. don't do it. Rule 4 - No Abuse (flaming is included in the term abuse) No-one may post messages that offend, hurt or harass any other member. Any disputes can be settled in the disputes board without the need for swearing or other impolite language. Swearing will be censored without proir notice to the author of the post and any censored word can be appealed by messaging the moderator who censored it. No Bullying! Rule 5 - No Childish behaviour 'Naming names': Naming members negatively is not permitted. It is hurtful and causes disputes within the community. No Bullying! I Will Not Tolerate Bullying! 'Telling tales': I don't care about your views in the story, all i care about is the truth (usually from a third party). Lying: Don't lie. Its just plain impolite and you may get temporarily banned (or even permanently). Remember, act sensibly and responsibly. don't beg and dont come crying to me if something goes wrong. Rule 6 - Highly Controversial Topics This is another tricky rule. We would not like our users to post about controversial topics simply because it can cause disputes between our members and each members' beliefs and point of view. This is not technically a rule, but guidance. I shall make decisions about punishment personally, based on the nature of the topic and how it is posted. Rule 7 - No Breaking Jagex's/Blizzard's Rules! We are not a forum of cheaters or hackers. We are a safe and law abiding community. Please do not break any rules as posted on the Runescape/World of Warcraft website/game on this forum. This includes account selling and (RS)macroing guides. Rule 8 - No Illegal Content Please do not post any illegal content (or any links to illegal content) on this forum. Examples include 'hacks', 'cracks', warez and any other form of pirated content (such as music) Rule 9 - Don't flame the clan or anyone in it! Don't spam the clan or send me any pointless messages. Don't disrupt my forum (Yes, that is this forum) and don't, whatever you do, don't get me angry or break my rules! I have certain methods of making the bad people go away, don't make me use them! And that includes reporting you to your Internet Service Provider! (verizon, BT, Pipex, Cingular, Virgin, AOL etc.) Rule 10 - Signature height All links in your signature must be correctly labelled and must NOT contain referrer information (i.e. http://www.money.com/?=myname) The suggested sizes for images are as follows: >> Full Banner (468 x 60) with some text beneath >> Full banner (392 x 72) - recommended Any breaking of this rule will result in a cautionary Pm from a moderator asking you politely to downsize your signature. If you fail to comply then we will be forced to take action without your consent. The content of the signature must not violate any other rule stated here. Rule 11 - Posting in capitals Your posts must Not be posted in complete capital letters. Any post such as this will be deleted without warning or apology. Rule 12 - Grammar and Speech Use correct grammar, language tools, punctuation and text formatting in your posts. This is not a rule, but a guideline and can be excused. Moderators will politely edit your posts if they see fit. No Leetspeak Or Variation(s) Of Leetspeak. Posts must be in readable English (UK). Rule 13 - Quoting In posts where you are required to quote other people, please remove any images from the original text before posting. Moderators will remove quoted images without asking. Please do not quote other people's quotes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have the value and Imperialism of not being ruled by others nor to exercise lordship over others. Leaders in this clan are among the clan not over the clan. Leadership is shown by example and demonstrated by helping other characters to be successful, not by demonstrating dominance or acting as a control-freak. But this does not mean you refuse a Leader's commands, for example, a clan is like an army. The General may have a higher rank than a lieutenant but that does not mean the general is more adept in the ability to shoot. On the other hand, if the lieutenant were to ignore a general's commands he would be in trouble. Helping other players to become successful is not achieved simply by free-giving as this encourages others to become or remain "begging noobs" which is not building up the skill of characters nor experiential game knowledge for players. By patient instructing of others of the game with a generous and uncontrolling attitude leadership is demonstrated. Begging others for items is esteemed as an attempt to control others. Begging noobery is a humiliation both to the player and to this clan, contrary to EoE clan's values. Loaning items to others is discouraged as its inherent expectations will tend to divide rather than unite. The Empire of Elegance encourages the building of friendships through mutual help and reciprocity. Fair trade which makes possible for lower level characters to obtain better armor, weapons and items is encouraged. As a player in the clan/guild is perceived as a leader by other clan members, the character of the player shall be recognized as a leader in the clan. This is provided that the player does not exhibit characteristics of lording over others. Remaining active in Runescape/World of Warcraft or in this clan's meetings, events or forum are required for membership, and a member of the clan must be active in-game (WoW) or on the Forum (RS) at least once in a 30 day period (unless they have a reason they cannot, in which case they should tell us immediately). this is to stop inactive members from subconsciously encouraging our other members to not play as often, as well as taking up space on our member list. We encourage and invite our clan members to our meetings, events and forum. Inactive members will not continue to be recognized as leaders amongst us or be recognized in their functional clan/guild roles if they do not continue performing such. We encourage each other not to allow anyone to rule over over us. We also encourage those outside our clan/guild in the same and to join us. We build teams amongst us by building friendships and developing trust. All EoE members are encouraged to know their fellow EoE members whom they go on wilderness/Dungeon/Instance/PvP trips with. We exhort all members of The Empire of Elegance to stand in defence of the liberty of all players of Runescape/World of Warcraft within Jagex's/Blizzards rules. Consequentially, activities such as scamming and hacking oppose our values. The Empire of Elegance, does not condone the breaking of Jagex's/Blizzard's rules for Runescape/World of Warcraft. By joining this clan you agree that in the wilderness/Dungeons/Instances/PvPs of Runescape/World of Warcraft you will not attack another EoE clan member as we are a united clan that values its own members. Members of this clan are listed on this site. We may also be recognized by the wearing of the (RS) team-16 cape in the wilderness/PvP, the typing of "EoE" in chat or (WoW) the "<Empire of Elegance>" tag that appears below our name in-game. Discontinuation of a player's membership in EoE clan occurs if he or she does not uphold nor honour the values of The Empire of Elegance. Questionable behaviour will result in a EoE member being placed on probation. Consistent effective embracing of EoE values will restore a player from probationary status in EoE. If a EoE clan member player kills another clan/guild member in the wilderness/PvP it is a demonstration of departing from the values of the The Empire of Elegance if such player killing actions was done in knowledge. Should a member have a grievance with another member they will need to solve such problems themselves and not involve the clan/guild. If such problems arise that a member seriously acts contrary to the nature of The Empire of Elegance, the visionary clan/guild council of EoE will need to be contacted. The visionary clan/guild council movement leader and the founder of EoE is Saras_Enemy5 Sowing of discord and disunity in this clan/guild is not acceptable and also shows a departure from the values of the EoE clan/guild. Those who have left this clan/guild by departing from its values may be restored to clan/guild membership by demonstration to the clan/guild a re-embracing of EoE values. Joining The Empire of Elegance means we will stand together for the success of our characters as a team. A new age in Runescape/World of Warcraft has begun. An age of divine strength. All players will know that the The Empire of Elegance of Runescape/World of Warcraft will give their utmost to establish and defend it. No Retreat. No surrender. Runescape Stuff As for "Castle Wars", EoE clan/guild members are free to take either Saradomin's or Zamorak's side. We do, consequentially though, have a leaning toward Zamorak's side, as red capes are also the colour of our clan. Our affectioned homeworld in Runescape is World 11. For a Runescape member server, World 23 is preferred. Multiclanning is acceptable in EoE provided that the clan is not at war with EoE.
