"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven stages...

Too lazy to get on Kyoko's profile at the moment, but she is currently my only character - a first year Slytherin and Eastern elitist. She could serve to be an antagonist for Edmond if you so wish. I'm sure he'd do well to have some friends to help him stand against her first, though... poor thing would probably torn apart by her haughty, better-than-thou nature. :\

Definitely a perfect character foil! Kyoko's pureblood magical family against Edmond's simply Muggle background? Arrogance against anxiety? I think it would be a great "rivalry" to trace throughout the years at Hogwarts, especially once Edmond finds a way to break through his initial shell and really "grow" into the Hufflepuff within.

Now we just need to figure out how this rivalry-setting confrontation should manifest itself...any suggestions? :)

Oh goodness, the possibilities are endless, aren't they? Both common rooms come from stairs leading off of the Entrance Hall... they could have an altercation if Edmond were to accidentally take the ones leading to the Slytherin dungeons rather than the Hufflepuff basement?

Or maybe he doesn't see her badge at first, and tries to strike a conversation with her (to come out of his shell?) only to be struck down and ridiculed? Or the opposite...Kyoko could not notice his badge and absent-mindedly strike up a conversation about how boring and dingy Hogwarts is, and if Edmond likes the place he could disagree and then she'd pay better attention...see he's a Hufflepuff, assume he's Muggleborn (and would say as much) and thusly an offhand comment turns into the glowing red embers of a rivalry to be born?

Oh, goodness, it's been so long since I've tried threading/planning a thread, that I'm wholly uncertain!

Oooo, I like the idea of Edmond trying to approach Kyoko, only to be shot down; knowing her, it could be made into a public affair in front of anyone else eating a meal in the Great Hall. We could possibly incorporate one of Edmond's future friends who essentially "comes to his rescue" in the confrontation (another Hufflepuff student like Alena or Xander?)...

Oh! That sounds delightful! Unfortunately I have to get ready for work now, but if you want to PM one, or both, of those members and see if they're interested I think we could start this quite soon! I've been itching to really give Kyoko a go... >>

Well, I'm up for it. :P Or at least I will be once I get my ministry file finished and posted. Considering Xander's personality, he'd probably come charging in and then talk Kyoko to death. :D

Sounds awesome! Not sure if you wanted to start the thread, Colby, or myself. Either way, we can all post in each other's plot charts officially when all is said and done. Hurray! :)

Hmm... since Edmond is approaching Kyoko, it's probably better for her to be the first poster - so that she can have entered (maybe her arms will be crossed, thusly inadvertently hiding her House badge) and be there for whenever he comes in. I'm admittedly rusty - I've made one RP post since the site opened, but I'll do my best! And I'll try to have it done tonight, too. ^_^

(Oh, just saw Alena's post. This is going to be quite an interesting thing for Kyoko to react to. I wonder how it will play out!)
