The Plan for December

Hiya, everyone! A lot's been going on lately with all this Senate hearing business and stuff, but I wanted to talk to you for a minute about what's been going on. I'll try to make this as short and to-the-point as I can. Here we go.

It seems to me that Equinox is in a lull for a few reasons, and I'm sure life is a big one. I've talked to a couple people now, and the most interesting comment I've heard is that people are willing to be active, but they have to be poked to get something out of them. One of our fantastic members, Silmeria, had a brilliant solution. She suggested that instead of having volunteers to do certain things like write articles for the EMT, why not have clubs where people who want to get more involved in something they're interested in can work on things daily? I thought about it, and I'm thinking that it's a great idea, and one that can be taken further by paying them to perform tasks. Do you like reporting for the EMT? Join the EMT Club, where you can work with Aisli every day, writing about things as they happen and talking with other like-minded folks to come up with neat ideas to improve the paper. A lot of people don't like recruiting, but some people prefer it as a way to get involved. Join Asylum with the Recruiting Club and help come up with events and new ways to recruit. Have an idea for another club? Something you've wanted to get participated in, but didn't know how? Let me help you. I will answer any questions and help you in any way I can usually within just a couple hours.

Equinomics has great potential, but has been incredibly quiet. Greater Genowa has been working diligently on a new proposal for changes to the economy that will undoubtedly work to encourage activity. In addition to that, I thought, "Say, why not give those clubs some funding and allow them to pay their members for their hard work?" And it shall be done. We're working hard to improve the Equinomics system, and Greater Genowa's proposal will be presented soon. However, in the mean time, I'm attempting to come up with all kinds of ways to make money, and what better way to do it than to do it while participating in something you enjoy. Join a club. Share your talents. Help Equinox. Earn money.

For those of you who are interested in learning more about the changes to Equinomics, Greater Genowa has published a packet of information, including charts and graphs of the historical data from Equinomics, to prime us for the proposal, which, might I add, is simply magnificent. That packet is attached below in PDF format.

If you have any questions or comments, please let me know. I really am trying hard to help you have fun. Attitude truly is contagious. Remember to be active, and you'll inspire others to follow!

Yours in Service,

Excellent report, Genowa!

I think the Senate should get to work on reforming Equinomics once the recommendations are finalized into a technical report.

Oi loik. And it's way better than either of my two "big" reports on Equinomics...

Oh...

On a side note, in relation to the report, I think that Culture does have a large part to play in the coming advent of Equinomics 3.0 (was the last one 2.0? or 1.2? idk). I noticed that in the most active months of Equinomics, there were the most G2P transactions (mostly from cultural activities, I assume). While I don't necessarily agree that that is the sole motivating factor for an active economy, moving money in that way does promote activity in two sectors at once. Just a "killing two birds with one stone" observation.
