STATE OF DECAY!
Future Looking Grim as Players Lose Interest

The world as we know it suffered another blow last week, as two more nations vanished from existence. After suffering through extended periods of neglect, the nations of Patchtoria and Muhaha ceased to exist, following in the footsteps of the Kingdom of the Fluglies, the first nation to suffer this fate. Even more worryingly, however, the problem is not isolated to Terra Fortunatis Forma, but is also rife in the Northern hemisphere. The region of Hakuko, after a period of prosperity, has now all but vanished from existence, with even the founding nation succumbing to abandonment.

"This trend of decline is becoming critical," commented Chief Foreign Secretary, Raymond Dalton. "I hate to sound like a hypochondriac, but unless we can stabilise, and hopefully enlarge our regional and global population very soon, Nationstates is looking to become even more boring than it already is! Loss of interest is a big enough threat already, and these events are hardly going to help matters."
The Great Leader himself sympathised with Dalton's comments. "I haven't recieved an international telegram in over two months! Back then, we were talking about password-protecting the region to stop overpopulation... what happened to those times?"

With some surveys of the general population suggesting fear of vanishment is outpacing fear of all-out nuclear war with Arcadia, The Aezakmian government is taking steps to reassure citizens they are in no imminent danger of abandonment. It is, however, still unknown what, if any measures may be taken against the 'loss of interest' crisis.
