We had one of these threads a long time ago but it's gone at the old board as well. So what do you see being the WrestleMania 21 card? I think we'll definitely see Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight Title. Orton vs. HHH will likely be at Royal Rumble. Hopefully Batista wins the Royal Rumble and goes on to win the title at WM21. Unfortunately, I think this Benoit vs. Jericho match on Monday is gonna involve a Christian/Tomko run in. With Eugene out for a while on injury I suspect a Christian/Tomko vs. Benoit/Jericho World Tag Title feud going into WM21. I'm skeptical on WWE allowing a Shelton Benjamin vs. Maven match going on at WM21 with how little confidence they had in him at New Years Revolution. But if Maven doesn't challenge I have no idea who Shelton'll face off with. Well the Women's Title would've obviously been a Lita vs. Trish rematch but Lita's out 8 months so that's gone. Probably Trish vs. Victoria vs. Molly. Slapped together in the next month. I don't have much of an idea about Smackdown as I haven't watched it with much attention lately. Probably JBL vs. Undertaker. Kurt Angle vs. Big Show. Cena vs. whoever they say "stabbed" him. |

The only match I was really interested in seeing is gone now that Lita is out. I'm sure Rock will make an appearance in some way against somebody and probably will job...err, I mean put them over. *shrugs* I don't care about Smackdown, it sucks, they have nothing going...*sees Royal Rumble commercial come on* and I'm really starting to hate the Royal Rumble commercial they keep showing. It scares me. Something about Triple H doing a song and dance that's just not right. |

Ditto about the only match interesting me, 'Mo. It's VERY unlikely I'll be ordering WrestleMania this year. This'll be the fifth WrestleMania since I've been watching (wow, is that all?) and it'll be the third I haven't ordered. |

Taker/Angle for the title would be nice. Benoit/Jericho or Benoit/Christian for the other title would be nice too. HBK/Angle in an interbrand match would be enjoyed too. |

I'm going to have to go with HHH vs Batista for the World title. I think Orton will be dropped to a meaningless non title fued. |

Perhaps Edge v Orton or even Flair v Orton is a strght-up singles (Something I'd have prefered than the cage match). Edge v HBK if they use the Rumble to buiild it up. |

Me and my friend were talking about this last night. We see: Orton vs Batista vs Triple H w/Ric Flair as the special guest referee Edge vs Shawn Michaels- Best case scenario we came up with (Stemming from HBK's speech to Edge on Raw "Get in the Royal Rumble, and win the whole damn thing" was Edge wins the Royal Rumble, at which point I would jump up and down with glee. This means either Michaels would win the title, or Edge somehow forfeits his title shot to get at Michaels, perhaps fueding with Orton, putting the title shot at Wrestlemania on the line at No Way Out, losing it due to interferance from Michaels (screwed out of the title again), leading to Edge vs Shawn Michaels, which would be a good match, and probably the one I look forward to most. Although I agree Edge winning the Rumble is wishful thinking, but who cares. Mick Foley vs Vince McMahon- Apparently Foley has requested this, but Vince wants him to fight Flair. Foley, for obvious reasons doesn't want to do this, but who knows. Hogan, Austin and The Rock are all expected to be involved in some way. Personally a Hogan vs Austin vs The Rock vs Foley match would be great, but thats more just wishful thinking, as Hogan will probably just be inducted into the hall of fame, ditto for Austin and probably The Rock too. Personally I'd like to see Ric Flair vs The Rock, capitalising about their interaction last year, this would be on a par with Rock/Hogan I think. I think we can expect rubbish from Smackdown. Eddie vs Booker T- Just because they're teaming at the moment, and I feel an Eddie heel turn is on the cards at the moment. I don't see the crowd reacting to it all that well, Eddie'll probably still get cheers. I'd like to see Angle vs Cena for the title. It was Cena's first WWE match, so what better way to actually DEFEAT Angle for the title? It won't happen, as rumour is JBL will hold the title through to SummerSlam, which I don't particularly mind. JBL's been one of the most entertaining champions in awhile, provided he doesn't actually wrestle. If Lesnar comes back, it'll be Show vs Lesnar, which is always quite good, and I could happily live with. Although they could have Lesnar vs Holly and I'd just be happy Lesnar was back. I see JBL vs John Cena, and Angle vs The Undertaker. Possibly JBL vs Big Show, with Cena putting the US title on the line in a 4 man Elimination style thing, just to get Dupree, Kenzo and Carlito or someone on the card. Cena'll win, of course, because apparently Cena never loses. The thing I'm worried about is Christian. Christian is far and above my main reason for tuning into WWE, the guy rules. Unfortunately for me, I see him being saddled with Tomko in Tag Team action, when personally I'd rather see him vs Benoit, or Jericho, or even a Jericho heel turn and Benoit/Benjamin vs Christian/Jericho. But thats just because I HATE face Jericho and I can't think of anything else to do with Benjamin. Possibly Benjamin/Hassan, but not a clue. I think Trish vs Victoria is almost a sure thing, if the womens title's put on the line at all, which I actually feel is doubtful this year, after the way they just seem to have lost ALL interest in it. Cruiserweight title? Well, seem as though Funaki is the champ, and Funaki doesn't exactly= Ratings, as cool as he is, I'm going to go for a Cruiserweight battle Royal. |

8 months is like the maximum safe guess from what I've gathered. Supposedly she had the exact same surgery as Matt Hardy did and he started working again after 5 months. *shrugs* We'll see. Being optimistic here. |

I think they'll bring Lita back early, re-hire Kevin Nash and put them in a 'Who can injure themselves first match'. Sorry, all the Lita love was making me sick, I bring balance back to the Force. |

Good good. I like Lita as much as the next person, but I wouldn't stop watching Raw just because she's off air for a few months. I usually watch for Edge and Christian anyway. |

Well, from what I've heard on other boards there are the possibilities of Hogan coming back for one match at Wrestlemania as well as... get this... former ECW star New Jack being revealed as the person who stabbed Cena. |

I think they're off New Jack after he failed their little test. They asked him to chain wrestle with Val Venis for 5 minutes, but he gave up after about a minute. Plus, his past with the Dudleys must be an issue.. |

Actually, from what I read, New Jack submitted the idea to have himself be the person who stabbed Cena so it could clear injured Jesus and injured Carlito from the equation all together. That was supposedly the reason WWE gave him a try-out match because the idea slightly interested them. But I also read that WWE isn't happy with New Jack's colorful past. Something about he gets too violent, too quickly or something stupid like that. *shakes fist at Mark* Lol. |

Before I read about New Jack getting involved with WWE, the last thing I saw was about a warrant for his arrest. Apparently New Jack was working an indy show, turned up late and basically shooted the match. Half way through, he pulls out a screwdriver or something and begins cutting his opponent wide open. Thing was, it wasn't meant to be a hardcore match and the guy hadn't agreed to bleed.. so the fed owner called the cops. I don't think anything ever came of it though. |

Last I heard New Jack had been spreading around that he had signed a short-term deal with WWE, the storyline being that he was the one who stabbed John Cena. However WWE have NOT confirmed this, and the New Jack stabbing John Cena storyline was pitched by New Jack HIMSELF at the above mentioned try-out. I hope New Jack doesn't get signed for a few reasons. First, I don't want to hear about this stupid stabbing angle any more. Second, I've never really liked New Jack anyway. Third, if don't know why WWE would sign someone who carries the same Gangsta gimmick as John Cena, except carrying him as a heel. With that, and The Undertaker and JBL and his cabinet all on Smackdown, it would definately end up with a way too gimmicky feel. |

OK, I've heard a few contrasting rumours. I'll try and write where I heard them, to try and back them up. Originally it seemed to be: Triple H vs Randy Orton vs Batista Now, according to Rajahwwf.com it appears that the plan is: Triple H vs Batista With Randy Orton moving to an interpromotional "Legend vs Legend Killer" match Randy Orton vs The Undertaker. Which is good, for a few reasons. Good reasons: Means it's not another Triple Threat repeat main event. Would break up the horrific Undertaker/Kane vs Heidenreich/Snitsky match that was rumoured. Batista has a BIG shot to win the title Bad reasons: Batista will be playing the face in the title match. Which, personally I just don't buy. I would have preffered to have Triple H as the heel, Orton as the goody-goody face and Batista as the one you're not sure about, who could go either way. Most Importantly!! If the Orton/Taker match DOES happen, it looks like this could see Taker losing at Wrestlemania, which I always said would never happen until he retired. Could be Taker's realised just how stale he's been this last year, and decided to hang up the boots before he becomes a joke. |

OK, so in a matter of weeks, two matches which I thought were dead certs for Wrestlemania (Triple H/Randy Orton and Edge/Michaels) have been put on the card for the Royal Rumble. I have no idea where WWE is going to go, but as we're pretty much on the "Road to Wrestlemania" now, I may as well take another shot. Triple H vs Batista- The real shot to this match is whether or not Randy Orton will be thrown in as part of it. If Orton is put in the match, it would make two years worth of Triple Threats, which would be rather predictable. If Orton is put into it, then it's a sure-fire Main Event. But as it is, I can't see Triple H/Batista as the main event of Wrestlemania, no matter how popular Batista is. Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio- I'm really feeling this match at the moment. Looks like Eddie's going to turn heel, which I'm not sure'll work too well, but it'll be a great match none-the-less, so I'm almost certain it'll happen. If it doesn't, maybe Eddie'll realign himself with Chavo, and RVD will be back in time for Wrestlemania, making a damn good tag match. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that I can't predict the Wrestlemania card. Usually I've got it all down pretty much 100% by now, so I'm actually looking forward to the run up to Wrestlemania a lot more than I usually am |

It will be an SD main event. I see... JBL vs Cena for the Title. But since Steph doesn't like Cena some four way will probrably be thown together. Batista vs HHH for the title is basically confirmed though. I'd like to see Orton vs Taker. I love randy, but it would be nice to see him getting his ass kicked one on one, instead of a beatdown. |

I don't know, I just can't see JBL in a main event. I don't like Cena in the slightest, and I feel a title win, or even a Wrestlemania main event is deservedly his yet, he just needs something fresh adding to his character, and needs to start working harder in the ring, rather than his current matches of punching, taunting, and F-Uing. Orton vs Taker would be decent, just because it looks like Taker might actually lose at Wrestlemania this time around. |

Well I think something else will happen, I think Basitsa will win the rumble, but he'll go to Smackdown and take the title away from JB "I can't believe he's the fucking champ." L, in either one on one or three way action with John Cena. |

I still have many reasons to watch although not having Lita there does indeed suck. Luckily I still watch for Shawn Michaels, Edge, Christian, Benoit, Jericho, Orton. I really hope the Batista thing ends up with his win as world champion or maybe Orton winning the world title and being champ for more than one month. I almost wish HBK would turn heel again and be the little cocky dude who used to be in his DX and Diesel days. I would also love at least one more world title run with several opponents like in 96. Jericho is also in desperate need of a world title run and a credible one too. He and Edge are the most deserving on RAW at this point IMO. OK I realize this didn't have much to do with Mania but these are just my wishes for the year. |
