Credit: PWInsider This should be interesting if RVD were to leave WWE and go to TNA, since it would be the first full fledged WWE main event'er they could take advantage of. Rhino & Christian never main event'ed WWE seriously, and Kurt was already broken down by the time they got him. Besides the obvious feud for the title, I'd like to see one last RVD/Jerry Lynn match too (to finally settle what never got a proper wrap up in ECW). |

I'm just a little disappointed that we don't get to see RVD anymore. Since. Y'know. He'll be RRVVDD. |

Except, the news bit said that he owns the name and thus WILL be (or can be if he chooses to be) RVD. |

RVD is and has always been a huge draw for the smarks. While his stock has dropped in WWE quite a bit, his following on the internet is still quite high and I think this excludes him from the common anti-WWE TNA fanbase. I on the other hand think that going to TNA would not be a great move for RVD. Let's face it, as quick and agile as he is, even RVD has to age and he really isn't getting any younger. For him to got to such a high impact, fast paced enviroment of TNA would mean he would place undue stress on his body and in addition may not be able to keep up with some of the younger talent. If he stays in the WWE on one hand he will never be main eventing Wrestlemania, however that doesn't mean he won't have a steady place on the roster where he knows he is going to be able to keep at the same level. Really it's a gamble RVD will have to figure out if he wants to take. I personally think it would be a safer bet to just stomach the bullshit of Vinny Mac and keep a steady job. But hey, that's just my opinion. |

Well, considering if he stayed in WWE he'd continue to wrestle the same style and have to work more. While in TNA he uses the same style and works less, thus not as much wear and tear. A lot of wrestlers find TNA to be a good alternative because they get TV exposure, a decent amount of money, and have to work less dates. I don't think a run in TNA would do RVD any harm at all. |

Personally, no. Not even as far as his gimmick goes. I guarantee you if VKM or Raven came back to WWE they'd get the same amount of fan support as they ever would have. Same for a TNA "original" like Sonjay Dutt or Samoa Joe. However, TNA matches are even shorter than the oft-criticized WWE matches, and usually more of a spotfest. I've actually noticed a trend over the past few years of WWE matches not being as spotty and predictable for the most part, whereas TNA has taken the predictable spotfest to an extreme. |
