Couple more worth noting while I'm on my lunch break.

Some of the storylines I set up for the last Black & White. The Jessica Knight & Jim O'Brien "feud", which was an extension of Dirk using Jessica as an "enforcer" and eventually trying to sic her on hide was a joy. Sure, the outcome was a foregone conclusion, but it was fun getting there with Jim, who was a delight to work with.

Similarly, Marc was a great guy and he was kind of treading water at the time in FIW in-between angles for Mad Dawg. Least initially when I approached him about working something out, ended up getting Lita involved in on it too 'cause Kim was Joe's girlfriend at the time. It was a pretty classic style feud, with Joe playing the fiery face and Mad Dawg the sinister heel, which I really felt the Mad Dawg needed across from him at the time.

And, the Zombie Black & Lioncock feud. I always enjoyed the dynamic of Lioncock loathing Zombie, absolutely hating his guts & thinking them rivals on par with the likes of Hogan & Savage, and Zombie barely being aware of who he was. The catalyst for the feud I thought was humorous and much like the Knight feud, had a foregone conclusion that was fun to get to.

It came out of happenstance, but I look back fondly on the storyline between Tara & Zombie. I feel like it was the first time Zombie was allowed to spread his wings outside of the enjoyable comedy and snark Wight's provided with him. I know it let Tara develop more as a character, changing radically from where she started when they met to after they broke up. Admittedly with help from other events too.

Well, I've been taking some trips down memory lane recently - I even reread my 7 year old reply in this thread - and I can probably say in full certainty that my run with the Bergerons was the most rewarding and the most fun I ever had in FIW. Straight up. More than the three Dual Crown reigns, more than the tag title run I had with MATT~! that has been spoiled by our falling out, more than the Jim O'Brien/Silent Rage or Jim/Fozzy McQueen or Jim/Onikage feuds I would rant and rave about every time a thread like this came up or when somebody would ask me a like-minded question.

I'm not going to bury everything I did with the Jim O'Brien character - I'm a Hall of Fame roleplayer and Jim is a Hall of Fame character, so it couldn't have all been bad. :P But the reason I hold my entire Bergeron run in such high regard over my run with Jim is because... With Jim, especially in 2008 and some of 2009, I was fueled by a lot of hard feelings. I had a chip on my shoulder. Sometimes you hear about professional athletes "playing angry." Well, I wrote angry. I roleplayed angry. And that came from, honestly, a degree of insecurity that I had. And that insecurity was manipulated by someone I considered a good, good friend of mine at that time who was unfortunately doing the same to me as he was a lot of other people. And, on one hand, Oni had to have been happy with the results - a lot of people in the fed roleplayed angry with chips on their shoulders, and an argument could probably be made that most of us in the fed were writing at our very best at that time. But... And I think this is one of the good things about the expansion of social media since then - we can actually see that there's a real person behind the screen name. We can see for ourselves that there's a real person writing that opposing roleplay. And that what we roleplay isn't worth harming, let alone destroy, the relationships we have as people. As friends. As a community.

With Lucas, Silas, Grimm, Butch, the Monster (though not intertwined with the Bergeron extended universe), and even a little bit of Jim once again... After some time away and a little bit of reflecting, I proved that I could be a real, just... kickass roleplayer and creative writer and it come from a place of joy. And happiness. And peace.

Well, for the most part. Things kinda got ugly at the end, but it wasn't because of any hard feelings with anyone here. But I think I've come clean about that.

But yeah, really, wanting to write as best as I possibly could so that my contemporaries and peers would appreciate and respect - and dare I say, love - my output as much as I did, and not because of the mindset I had a decade ago where I saw my peers and my friends as my rivals and that my roleplays were, at times, my outlet to upset the applecart.

Or, for the tl;dr crowd - I didn't like Wight & Lita (and Kain and, to an extent Mo). Oni knew what buttons to push, so I wound up really hating them. And that hate made me Darth Vader a Hall of Famer. Which is sad. But from 2014 on (well, 2012 on, but lets not acknowledge that 2012 Jim O'Brien run, plz) I put all that stuff behind me and roleplayed as Anakin Skywalker a nice person. And I was really good. And it was a really gratifying experience. Forever and ever amen, the end.

But who needs this philosophical reflecting? You guys want details right?

The Rougarou didn't have a lot of feuds, so thankfully, every one he had stuck with me. Kyle's Deacon DEATH (or Mr. GEIST at the time) made me want to bring Silas to e-fed life, because I knew I had a feud lined up right when I walked in the fed. Kyle rocks, I love him.

Then, though it didn't last long, Mars was writing Asante Aman & The Awakening. I loved that so hard. I'm bummed we never gave the feud the level of closure it deserved, but it opened up a lot of doors. And I got to work with Mars. I heart Mars and his profile pic of Donald Trump looking like he just ate a lemon, wherever he is.

I brought Lucas in to piggyback off of Rougarou/Asante, because Butch was really spooked by Asante so he had to call in the only backup he knew was up for the job, despite the personal baggage he was going to bring with him. And then shit really took off.

And then I crashed it into the ground when I killed Lucas & Silas off in a plane crash.

I had a bad day, give me a break. :P

But I brought 'em back! Yay! Just in time for Nensai Senjou, and Lucas got to really kick off his award winning rivalry with Nemesis.

And as time went of, we got to know Lucas. And there was a lot of ugliness and hurt and pain and sorrow and shame and... that kinda stuff. And it just made us all love him even more. He fought Nemesis quite a few more times in his FIW tenure, but he just couldn't slay the beast.

And, man, I gotta say... I love Sid. Probably not as much as Wight, cause we never really got into OOC stuff that much. But on the clock? Dude, if you're reading this, plz come back. ... Yeah, I know I can't, but... yeah.

Then Lucas met Brittany. And fell in love. God, that was fun. In 2005, especially post-Dual Crown, I probably would've never been a part of an angle like that (mostly because I just really sucked at love and relationship angles) but - specifically - the Lucas/Brittany saga might've been the most fun I had writing Lucas. Lita, you're so awesome. I heart you.

Anarchy in the UK 2015 wasn't just a PPV for the FIW Prom. Lucas & Silas vs Seph's Random Task, Inc. ... Man, did we make chicken salad out of chicken shit QUICK. I think, originally, it was supposed to be Rougarou vs Darian Gray at this show, with just the most old school feud leading up to it (Silas tore up Darian's 100 trillion dollar suit jacket because that's just what you do to pretty boy heels, so Gray tries to kill Butch to retaliate). But stuff fell apart and I needed a match for Anarchy, and guess what? Cage Murdock and Ramsi Greene hit the scene, and they quickly transitioned from Gray's heaters to the center of the feud. I still get goosebumps when I reread the segment where Silas is about to fight Ramsi & Cage 2 on 1 while Cage has a METAL BASEBALL BAT in his possession... Yeah, I wrote the segment, but even I marvel in my own shit sometimes. Seph, you rock.

Oh yeah, before Anarchy was Rise of a Legend - Silas was in the Panopticon and Lucas fought Nemesis. Silas was kinda thrown in the Panopticon at the last second as a replacement, but that was fun to roleplay for (despite not wanting to win at all). Si was the first guy eliminated, but he ate everyone's finisher 2-3 times and everyone had to dogpile on him to pin him. And I think he might've kicked out at 3 and a half. :P I remember being actually a little embarrassed by how strong he was written and that people were going to be upset with me, but everybody was super cool about it and didn't mind at all. I'll always remember that.

Then I had to take some time off in the summer for personal reasons, but when I came back, I came back strong. Psycho Dragon wasn't here very long, and at the end he did get pretty flaky, but when he was here and we got to work together, dude was awesome. I loved that guy... I wanna say his name's Chris? It's probably not, but I forgot it. And we were all set to do Psycho Dragon vs Lucas for a long term angle... then a little birdy told me that Pain wanted to get in on the feud. And I remember being kinda mad at first, because I had just lined up and mapped out this long angle between our characters. But then I started to tweak it, and tweaked it a little more, and tweaked a little more, and soon enough the Lucas/Cody/PD/Grimm storyline is one of the best I've ever been a part of. Pain, Batman, you rock brah. Psycho Dragon/Chris?, come back and stay awhile.

And that lead to Rougarou/Nemesis. And if we got to finish this sucker? Maybe I feel this way because we never got to finish, but this would've been the best feud, like, EVER. I'm going to open up more on it sometime down the road, but yeah, this would've rocked socks if we could've finished it.

So, uh... Are you still reading this? I'm sorry for going on and on. But I'm going to keep going. :P

God, that was fun. Jessica Knight's awesome.

One last story.

Really, the only good thing about Jim's 2012-13 run was how it ended. Well, it was mostly fun - then I won the Dual Crown and it went downhill. :P Anarchy '13 was main evented by Jim vs Ash Koopa, with Jim putting his career on the line while Ash put his title of CEO on the line. In a roleplay leading up to it, I wrote Jim to say that if he was and became CEO, he was going to close down FIW and personally fire everyone. So no one believed I was going to win. :P But I wrote the match, and it's honestly probably the best match I've ever written. And I say not, not necessarily because of my own feelings, but after Ash read it, he PM'ed me and told me that was his most favorite Ash match that he ever read. And when that comes from a guy who ran a million different feds and wrote a trillion matches that were a trillion pages long, that means a whole hell of a lot to me. Ash, I love you, wherever you are. And your cat profile pic.

I don't want to type anymore. I feel like I'm writing a roleplay. :P

Oh, I've got to catch up on my :P quota.

2 minute later edit:

Two of Rougarou's last matches were against Mad Dawg & Erik Holland. Those were awesome. I LOVED roleplaying for those matches and someof the stuff I reread the most are the roleplays for those matches.

okay, ttyl again.

Cage and Ramsi did have a hella boss entrance for that match. I always tried to have Cage trump that entrance but Jim was always there to say "it was good, but it wasn't Anarchy good." XD it was a great motivator and Cage rest his fictional soul.

Cage calling The Rougarou the "Row row row your boat" is still one of my favorite insults.

Jim rocks.

Truth, about all of us.

This is why forgiveness and apologies exist. I'm glad we're on good terms now. :)
