Hey gang, Just a reminder for anyone that watches the NFL Draft that it comes on tonight at 8 PM EST on NFL Network and ESPN. The last few years it was on Friday night but not anymore. This will be my 28th straight year watching it live. The first one I saw was in 1989 with my beloved grandfather. Four of the top five picks were Troy Aikman, Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders and Derrick Thomas. All Hall Of Famers... that was a good year to start watching. Anyway, just thought I'd pop in and leave that bit of info. Rob. |

I'll probably check out most of it, if not all of it. I've been hearing pretty good things potentially happening for my Philadelphia Eagles in this draft. Lol. God knows they need some kind of help after the last couple of seasons they've had. |

Calm down. You guys have Carson Wentz. I'm definitely excited with my Niners having that number 2 pick. I'm hoping we can get Garett but I doubt it. Lol. That's a heck of a draft there. I'm a huge Deion fan even though we lost him to the Cowboys after our Super Bowl win lol. |

Curious to see who the Chargers get. Last year we struck good with Bosa, so I'm hoping a get another top tier player. |

I think you will be in great shape with Carson down the road. He's overcome a lot in just one year. From missing almost all of his senior year with an injury, the the level of competition he faced... I think he'll be okay. The only thing that concerned me coming in was his height. Those really tall quarterbacks over the years have a LONG delivery. It's something mechanically that can be worked around though. Ryan Tannehill has had issues with that since he switched to qb his last year at Texas A&M. It's the reason he's been sacked so much in the NFL. However, last year he FINALLY had a steady running game and he did well until he was injured at the end of the year. They couldn't correct the hitch in his arm technically so they found another avenue. Mark McGwire's brother, Dan, was drafted by Seattle in 1991 in the first round out of San Diego State. He was 6'8 and they could NEVER fix his delivery nor find a way to supplement it in another way. His stay in the NFL was relatively short and thus he is a footnote in the annals of the NFL. Carson needs a strong running game to really flourish. They have some good weapons around him at TE with Zach Erts, Jordan Mattchews at one WR spot and Darren Sproles catching balls in the short game. He's not the athlete Randall Cunningham or Donovan McNabb were. They are going to have to be patient with Wentz and give him time. If they do, I can see him standing tall in the pocket much like Ron Jaworski back in the day and getting the Eagles in regular playoff contention. |

Hayden, how did you feel about the Chargers moving to LA? My older brother is a Chargers fan to. He started liking them while he went to UCSD (San Diego University something or idk lol) So when he came back to LA and they followed it was all good! But I've heard a mixed reaction from SD Charger fans, just wanted to hear yours. By the way I am a Steelers fan lol! (Also I get so much shit for being a Celtics fan in Los Angeles to LOL) |
