As promised, today I'm posting all the campaigns for everybody to peruse. I am confirming at this stage that voting will OPEN when ReVolt is posted on Tuesday, I'm posting these now to give everybody as much opportunity as possible to read through and make a decision. If you have a question about a campaign, direct it to the potential GM but do it respectfully and with the understanding that they are not duty bound to respond. Hopefully they would, as it's an opportunity to interact and clarify a point, but again, that is up to them. In terms of voting, following ReVolt on Tuesday I will ask for PM's to be sent to me containing your vote and if you'd like to include any comments for the winning party, that is your right. Please do not PM me prior to the show because it'll just clog up my inbox when putting ReVolt together. Everybody who has been an active member of the roster during my reign up until this point is eligible to vote, I feel they have earned the right to a vote. That means they have roleplayed and been booked. Thank you all for your continued support. |

Nir Hello all, I'm Mjolnir, or Nir for short. I've worked under several fedheads in my time here, having been apart of the creative team in some manner, having written numerous matches, having acted as a judge. I even briefly ran as the fedhead of NGIW for a time when Wighty needed a break. I wanted to give some background on myself to some of the newer members or maybe those that don't know me as well as others around here do. And, this is the part of the post where I talk about my campaign. I've contemplated a solution to a growing issue I feel is in the fed, the needs of the members becoming different as time's gone on. My humble suggestion is we do a non-traditional brand split. Now nameless reader, I know what's you're thinking, "But Nir, a brand split?! That's so 2002!" And, well, you'd probably be right if this were a traditional brand split. But note I said non-traditional brand split. Here's why. Three shows, each meeting a requirement and need that several of our members have at this junction. There will be... ReVolt - Our somewhat weekly e-fed show. I would even be up for turning it into a weekly format again, should the want be there for it. - It would maintain the same days, if it maintains the same schedule. Otherwise it would be every week on Friday. - The RP e-fed show. RPs decide everything. TBA - Similar format to ReVolt's current, with it being opposite weeks to ReVolt if both maintain that schedule. E.G. ReVolt's Tuesday that week, TBA's Friday, and then flipped the next set of shows. I would consider even turning it into a bi-weekly format, should the want be there for it. - It would be on Thursday or Saturday, if bi-weekly. I'm open to what the people would prefer. - The Angle e-fed show. RPs determine how high your profile is, your title opportunities, but not necessarily every match's outcome. Rising - Monthly format, big shows a day or two before the pay-per-views on Saturdays most likely. Again, I'll let you guys decide. - The hybrid e-fed show. Think of it as a sandbox and you can do what you want there. You want to test out a new idea? Go for it. You want to get your experience and cut your teeth with a new character in RP battles? Go for it. Characters Due to the nature of this format, character cap would be one singles or a tag team for the main shows. So you can have a character or tag team of them on ReVolt, and another (or, another set) on the TBA show. The catch is that you can have as many as you want on Rising. Or, if you're a consistent writer, you're allotted more on either show. So, write matches, get more character options on Revolt or TBA. Championships I would allow a little bit of a grace period with this after Summer of Sin, if title holders end up technically tied to shows they don't want to be on. Gradually working them off of them without cutting their character's legs off in the process. However... Hellcats Championship - Right now I'm of the mind this will go onto the to be named Angle based show. I feel like based on conversations I've had with people and things that have been said to me, it'll likely work out best for it to be there. Fighting Spirit Championship - This would go on ReVolt, it just sort of makes sense. It's the Fighting Spirit Championship and that will be the RP decided show. Naturally if I assume control, Joe will be apart of that grace period to transition him away from the championship. Rising Championship - This one's even more obvious. It would act as the top title on Rising. FIW Championship & FIW World Tag Team Championships - These would serve as catch-all championships, the only three wrestlers that would travel from between ReVolt & TBA on a semi-regular basis. I would personally coordinate what worked best with each title holder(s) and work with their schedule to make it work. If they're more Angle people, work a way that they're comfortable working something on ReVolt occasionally too. If they're more RP type people, work a way that they're cool with working something on TBA occasionally too. Think of them as a final boss type figure within the fed. More? - Well, that would have a lot of factors to it. I wouldn't be opposed to more titles for each of the brands, maybe one more for both ReVolt & TBA. That I would leave up to the members ultimately, if everybody felt we needed more titles and if our wonderful graphics lady would make more. Or, even have time to. Pay-Per-Views These would largely go unchanged. If the RP format show ends up being weekly, they'd likely have a ReVolt Against the Champions on the months that a PPV doesn't fall on. With the current six maintaining as our big six pay-per-views, the one both shows show up on. Though the naming convention of them may be tweaked to reflect this new era better. I'm currently of the mind that the Big Six would fall on Sundays, a date that doesn't screw with either schedule really. In-Character Staff I'm really open to suggestions here. I'm just as fine with Hitchen & Chip, and Toby & the lot being on every show as I am each show getting their own staff. Or, maybe even splitting the current staff up among the staffs and filling in the empty roles for each show with new staff characters. Whatever would make everyone feel most comfortable is the best course, I feel. Out of Character Staff I'm open to a small committee, I realize there may be creative members that are strictly on board to help with one show. I also realize there may be those that want to have their fingers in every pie, and I'm okay with that too. I'd likely set up a "2nd in command", maybe one for each show even, acting as a sort of "Head Writer" to my Vince McMahon, if you will. I can't do it alone, and I'd appreciate all the help I could get. I think that's it. If there are any questions, feel free to ask. This goes without saying, but I'll likely be willing to help out in whatever capacity is preferred by someone else should they win. I realize if I won it'd likely lead to some polls to determine some of the finer points to this, but that can be taken care of before SoS goes up most likely. |

Lita How many RPs do I have to post? How many CAN I post? You don't have to post a single roleplay, but you can post as much as you want. It won't change the results much. Then how do I win matches? You be present in the fed. You can do that a number of ways: - Hype up the fed, your character, your opponents, your matches via Twitter just like you see the WWE Superstars do if you pay attention to the product and their Twitters. - Have a great OOC demeanor that uplifts the entire community and promotes a positive environment. - Contribute to the show with segments that also hype up your character, your matches, storylines, etc. - Write matches for the bigger shows if you'd like. That'd be appreciated. Don't wanna use Twitter? You don't have to. If you want to post an RP (or more) every week then that option is still available as well. You might want to at least keep an eye on what the FIW Twitter retweets everyday, though, as your opponents are likely to be tweeting about your character(s). There will be a Twitter thread available that you can easily glance at to keep up with this stuff. What if I join and don't like it? Your character will generally stick around long enough to wrap up any storylines you were involved in and then your presence will simply disappear from the fed. No harm, no foul. I'm not looking to bury your character just because you're not having a good time. You'll almost always lose on your way out IF the storyline merits your character wrapping things up with a match, but it's not set in stone nor will it be a squash match. That doesn't do anyone any favors. Why should I post RPs at all? If you don't like Twitter or just like writing RPs in general and you have more than the 140 character limit of Twitter will allow to tell a story you feel your character needs to share, then we'd love to read it. It'll show that you're present in the fed and committed to your character. I understand Twitter isn't for everyone, but posting lengthy RPs throughout the week isn't for other people. So I'm willing to compromise. Just don't get upset if you spend your time writing a 2k word RP and aren't the world champion. You are going into this aware that a strong Twitter presence is equal to a strong RP presence. Also be aware that posting RPs can be detrimental to your push if you spam the board with the same content over and over again just to get a strong RP presence up (the same with tweets). I'm more inclined to push a character that posts one great RP that doesn't drone on than I am someone who posts three RPs that repeat themselves that I have to waste my time reading. You are ALSO welcome to post a "Twitter RP" which is essentially just a post formatted to look like a tweet. To do this, you will need to adhere to Twitter's 140 character limit, though. So if I do all these things, I'll win every time? No. It's an angled fed. The decisions are based on what tells the best story. Sometimes you'll lose even if you do all of these things. I doubt you'll ever lose to someone who doesn't do these things as they're clearly not committed to the fed or their character. Why am I doing this things, then??? Shouldn't the hardest worker succeed??? The hardest workers DO succeed. The more committed players with the best attitudes will reap the most benefits. Bigger wins, title reigns, storyline peaks, potentially even face of the fed. Rather than saying you won a random match nobody will probably care about in a couple weeks, you'll be working towards being a part of major moments that define the fed and are marked down in its history. What about the titles? Nothing changes here. FIW and Hellcats are still top of the heap. Women will still only compete for the Hellcats title or the Tag titles if they have a partner (male or female). FIW, FSC, and Rising are all male divisions. If there's ever enough women to support a second title, it will be considered; but if you want to compete in an intergender fed you can literally go to any other fed to get that fix. What day would the show be on? Not sure. Probably Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. We will probably go back to a weekly schedule since there's no need to wait for RPs to go up and the results would be short so putting the show together wouldn't take much work. Weekly shows will look more like wrestling recaps where matches are summarized to include the big spots, storyline progression, as well as character moments. Think what you get when you read weekly RAW or Smackdown results online, if you've ever done that. Big events will have something more along the lines of what we currently have for results. I'm also considering supercard events (replacing the term pay-per-view since we're on the FIW Network) that will be a different day of the week. Probably do them monthly, but maybe bi-monthly. Not inclined to keep the current schedule we have, but that remains to be seen. Those weeks may be a little tight, may be a little busy, but isn't that the point of those "big fight weeks"? Maybe not. May just continue with replacing the weekly show with the supercard event as we currently do. Who decides who is the most committed players and how the storyline runs? Mostly me. But I'm willing to take input from people who want to run stories together and even listen to story ideas for individual characters. I'm also likely to assemble a creative team of roughly three people (counting myself) to help me manage the roster and bounce ideas off of for those members who would rather enjoy the ride than pitch stories for their own characters. What else changes? There might not always be a card. No card??? How do I know what to talk about??? This isn't entirely a for sure thing yet, but there's a good chance it would run more like WWF/WCW/ECW with a match or two announced to "sell" the show, matches created on the show for an upcoming one, probably even some announced via Twitter throughout the week, but there's also a chance you're just meant to hype up your character, what your plans are for the upcoming show (make an impact, call out a champ, etc.), and then it will run like a modern television show where things seem to happen on the fly. Random matches just roll out, matches made in the heat of the moment, etc. How this works behind the scenes is that the creative team would discuss the upcoming show throughout the week. This can be spitballing match ideas, general storyline progression, or how to highlight certain stand-out characters. For a good portion of the week I would welcome board PMs and Twitter DMs from handlers suggesting ideas of what they'd like to do on the show (though these suggestions are just that; suggestions), as well as keeping a close watch on Twitter and any RPs to get a better feel for the mindset of your character going into the event. From there, a final show layout would be ironed out so that it can be assembled the day before the event is scheduled to go up. Supercard events will always have a card. Might be a surprise match or two on the show, but it will have a card that is assembled and promoted leading up to the event. This is something I'm interested in utilizing a trial and error approach. If it doesn't work out, we can try something else. It's an adjustment period and one I'm interested in seeing through. That sounds like chaos! Could be. But it's worth trying out something new, I think. We can always go back to the old format if this doesn't work and we'll be able to say we tried something new and it just didn't work. I'm worried there won't be a roster left if I vote for this. It got a pretty negative reaction, didn't it? Everything in that thread got a negative reaction. I can verify that I have spoken to a good portion of the roster that I felt were most likely to stick around. - Five (5) handlers have already verified sticking around if this is voted in (between them, it's currently 8 characters on the roster, 10 counting my characters). - One (1) former FIW handler has expressed interest in returning. - I also have four (4) non-FIW handlers interested in coming to the fed to play in this new format. - There are three (3) other non-FIW handlers who are have expressed interest in checking it out once I've ironed out the details. So, yes, we would have a roster with some familiar faces and plenty of fresh faces to interact with. I can't guarantee anyone is going to enjoy it enough to stick around, but I've at least put the word out and garnered some interest already. And I'm very committed to being active on Twitter, where there are literally hundreds of people looking to play this game. |

Otaku Well i guess i should start off with an introduction of sorts. I’m fairly new to e-fedding in this capacity, about 2 and half years at it now. I’ve been in micro feds of sorts since 2013 though and have ran multiple and co-ran multiple on a daily and weekly bases from 2013-about early 2017. I have no real experience running an e-fed of this capacity at all, obviously i’d assume you think by this point. I’d like to throw my hat in to give another option so to speak.Down below i’d like to further explain my “plan” or at least an outline. Basics: You can’t start anywhere or anything without the basics. By this i mean general rules and the like. For all matches i’d like to have them have a count out of 20 seconds. Have 2 referees in the match, one inside and one outside. The outside referee would be a “back up” of sorts just incase the one inside would to have a “bump” and also to have another angle on pins and submissions. This would help eliminate screwy finishes and BS endings IMO. Also i’d like to be lenient on dqs. This can be tweaked or changed though. Just shooting ideas for you guys to see a general direction i’d like to take. For championship matches i’d like to have it be a 20 second count out as well. The two or maybe even three referees in the match. Also if the champion is disqualified or counted out HE/SHE WILL loose their respective title(s). On the multiple referees thing it’d be the same as above one in ring and one or two out. Now as far as the whole “backstage” stuff goes i’d like to have a solid group of three or five people. I’d also like to change into a “HYBRID” fed. That means that we will be both angled and rp based. The angled matches will be for story lines. The rp matches will be for non story line matches and maybe a few titles, but i’ll talk about those somewhere below. For angled matches and for story lines i’d like to get involved with those who are in the story line. By means of a PM or something like that. With ideas, well i’ll never really say no to anything unless it harms you,the fed, or others (OOC and IC) that “harm” will be on my judgment as well as the others who i’d like to help me. Also since we’ll have a new OOC “GM” i’ll make a new IC “GM” as well. The character and such for that will be made at a later date and if i’m chosen. But back to the HYBRID fed idea. I feel this is the best of both worlds for everyone here. I’d like to keep revolt as the week and a half show that it is as well. Now some may be thinking “if it’s gonna be angled than why should i rp?” well it’s to sell your character and the story you and your opponent(s) is making. If you don’t rp we’ll just assume you don’t care and don’t want to be apart of said story/match. If you no-show with no reason or explanation we will give you only one more chance to prove yourself. If you give me or one of the others a reason why you no showed or will no show than i’ll be fine with it,just so as long as it’s not a habit of yours. There will still be no limit to characters, just as long as you can handle all of them. I believe this is all of the “BASICS” i need to talk about or at least talk about for now. If you need clarification or any questions then please ask or PM me. Schedule/PPVs: Honestly i’d like to see us travel more. More than the same cities and countries routinely as well. With the schedule at least for next year or for even later this year i’d like to go to other places (it’d most likely be next year so we don’t have confusion or anything or if not it’d be changes in like september or december) I’d like to go to other countries and have a mini world tour of sorts. I’d like to go to japan, south and north korea, england, germany, canada, ect. I’d be willing to hear other locations and what not from EVERYONE as well. Also we would stay in america for at least half of the year. Also if this wasn't so clear i'd like to do a complete overhaul for our ppvs, except maybe the "Big 4" i will be willing to change their names though. I also will try and make FIW a more global name and have us travel to new locations as well, i think this could be fun and give us something new to work with too. I’d like to have [insert superstar/hellcats name here] appreciation nights as well. This would be any time we’re in a certain superstar/hallcats. This would quickly highlight a thing or two of said superstar and give them a boost in confidence, i think. This could help us learn about our roster and our characters grow closer and such as well. If you need me to talk about this more in depth i will happily explain the idea to you. As for the PPVs part of this well, I’d like to have only a BIG 4. The rest can change and like wighty has said i feel nesai senjou can change. In at least name if not location. I’ll gladly tell you name ideas i have for that as well. Also i’d love to keep nesai senjou(name will be changed),anarchy in the uk, summer of sin, and the grand prix as our BIG 4 PPVs. The rest can change and especially blessed and forsaken. Why the heck is it in canada when the theme is cowboys? It should be in texas if anything. Other than the BIG 4 i’d like to change the rest of the PPVs. I’d like to keep the Prevolt this as well and feel it can help “lesser” talent and the guys/gals who are on the under/mid card who aren’t in “important” story lines or title matches.I’d also like to add a big PPV the weekend of or before Halloween. I have ideas for names and such as well. I’d love to have at least one PPV in Japan,England,America,Mexico and then the rest in various other places. I feel it’d be cool to go to the May Day Stadium in North Korea, but that’s just me and nothing is official. Also i’d like to have about 4 revolts to every 1 ppv. Or something to that effect. MATCHES: Matches will be short for now on. With our increasing roster i’d like to have matches be no more than two paragraphs for regular matches and no more than four for championship matches. Or if you like word limits (personally i don’t) but it would be no more than 500 words for regular matches and no more than 1000 for championship matches. I think shorter results would be easier to get through and easier on writers as well. As for any non angled matches of mine i will ask for a neutral party to judge and vote on my matches EVERY TIME. CHAMPIONSHIPS: I’d be up to adding another championship as well. I pmed craig a little while back about a 24/7 championship (name subject to be changed) and i feel this could be a cool idea we could have. Now in this it will be defened every show and “every day”. Throughout rps someone can jump you for it. Anyone and Anything can win it. Yes you did read that right ANYTHING as well. This isn’t a title to be taken super seriously either it’s for fun and heck it can elevate and give guys and gals something extra. This will be strictly an angled title and the champion will have to defend it 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Think the old wwe hardcore title or even the Iron heavymetal 24/7 championship. And like i said before anyone and anything can win it. A ladder falls on you? Well if theres a ref near ya you better kick out before 3 or not tap out! Your pet cat, Felix is laying on you? Well throw him off of ya if theres a ref in the room ‘cause he could win the title from you! A member of the crowd can pin you, children, interviewers, anyone and anything like i said. The crazier the better! It’s for fun and to maybe even help folks out! I’ll talk more about it if i need to in a PM or other post as well. FIW Championship: This will be the only title for MEN ONLY. This is the pinnacle of the company and whoever has it reps us and is the “face” of FIW. It will be a Hybrid title. Yes this is THE strap to win but like this, this will help out both the current champion Meaning that you will have to be in a story line for said title. This also means you an dyour opponent will work togther through at least one ppv cycle to creat a story you want to tell, weather that being a hard fought battle or you use dirty tactics to keep it or something of the likes. I think this can work well for those who like the angled and rp based side of things and it can still keep the "hard work" mindset some may have.and all challengers. Before said champion looses the titles though, it’d be on his/her and his/her opponent's terms. So no one gets butt hurt or mad at anyone else. The champion MUST be in a storyline with their challenger as well. If they aren’t than they will have to find one within a week or risk getting stripped of their title. This will be how it works unless like at SOS the champion may be in another match of importance. FIW HELLCATS Championship: This too will be a more hybrid championship. And to be frank i think this will be most beneficial to us all. The women who holds this will be the “face” of the hellcats division and THE top women in the company hands down. Like the FIW championship the hellcats champion must be in a storyline of sorts WITH the challenger of her title. Also this title is for WOMEN ONLY. If not in a storyline with a challenger by a week or the next revolt you will be stripped of the title and we’ll find two challengers to replace you for the title. THIS GOES FOR ALL HYBRID TITLES. FIW FIGHTING SPIRIT Championship: This title will be RP based. I mean the name itself implies it. ANYONE can challenge for this title. You don’t need to be in a storyline of any sorts with this title and will only be asked to defend it at least at every PPV except for special reasons like you being in a huge storyline you MUST be in. FIW RISING Championship:This will be an ANGLED title with the same rules as the other titles. This is for YOUNGER/NEWER talent only and can be won by BOTH MEN AND WOMEN. This title i'll use as a developmental title maybe even implement a developmental show/card for the title it's self. This will be angled. I think clearer rules should be set up for this title too. You must have less than 2 years of experience in this company with your character to be eligible. No sense in having Steven Eversole challenges for it when he's been here for a while and would be a former FIW champion, Not that that would happen, but still i think this will help cler confusion and uncertainties for the title. FIW WORLD TAG TEAM Championships: This will be a Hybrid of sorts as well with the same rules as the other angled titles. It CAN be won by MEN AND WOMEN as well. CLOSING STATEMENTS AND EVERYTHING ELSE: As far as “staff” IC & OOC goes, well OOC i’ll accept volunteers and current mods/admins to be apart of the team. I’d like to have someone be mainly a booker/help me with booking, someone help and be like a main/head writer, among other things. I’d like for us to work together and be together as a team. We all help each other out and help get each others characters over and what not. If you don’t like my ideas or anything i’d just like for you to not vote for me. If you have questions please do ask and i’ll try to answer them to the best of my abilities. I feel like what i’m proposing can be both beneficial and also make the fed fun again for everyone, while keeping things in a positive and creative environment. As far as rps are concerned i do ask that you don’t write a novel for every rp you put out. Please for me and everyone else keep in mind people DO read your work. Short and entertaining is just as good as long and many. I want QUALITY OVER QUANTITY for RP BASED MATCHES as well. There really will be nothing off limits, just keep things in the realms of reality. No power rangers and killing people left and right. If you can go to prison for it than it’s best you don’t do it. If it can’t be done with practical tricks in front of a live audience or be done with editing for taped segments. Please keep that in mind. Also i feel like this will be best for ideas and characters that wouldn’t do well in rp based feds as well. If you have an idea you’d like to try out than go for it! Because we’ll be a hybrid and mainly angled based fed you can see if it works or not for you. And again any questions or anything like that just PM me or ask me in the thread. A big thing i've been for also is participation, By that i mean i like letting everyone get involved with things, i try to make it a fed we can all enjoy while still keeping my "vision" I will likely have a post for new ppv names and ideas soon after i'm elected. You can just name ideas with maybe a description i'll pick a few and add/change them in. I know i haven’t been here long and i’m not the most experienced but l love this place as much as the next guy or gal. This has become my second home in the world of e-feds and i’ll work as hard as i can to keep her going. With this change and these new ideas, and if you vote for me than i hope we can all make a new FIW and a better FIW. If you like my ideas please do vote for me and if you don’t than go and vote for another person. Thank you all for your time and no matter the outcome i hope we can all have a great FIW and all continue our love and passion for this place! |

Sticky Hi, I'm Sticky. I've been an e-fedder since 2010 and in OC feds since 2011. I've been in good feds and garbage ones, seen how to and how not to run a fed, and have either caused or dealt with my fair share of drama. All of which, I believe, makes me a good candidate to run FIW. So how would I do things in FIW? 1. RPs: I would keep FIW an RP-based fed. I've been in angle-based feds before, and they've sucked. Every time, it's been a case of, "It doesn't matter how good you are, you don't fit in our plans. You will NEVER fit in our plans." I don't like that and do not intend to subject anyone else to it. If you want to do actual Twitter stuff, fine. But the RPs will remain the meat and potatoes and asparagus and roasted garlic bread of the fed. Maybe we can change the Twitter thread here into a banter thread between things. 2. JUDGING: The judging system would be out. Instead, the entire fed would serve as judges. How? By voting. A couple of days before the show, a ballot would be sent with the matches involved. All that is needed is a simple vote. EXAMPLE: FIW CHAMPIONSHIP: Stephen J. Eversol vs. Erik Holland "The Predator" Gustav David Richlen vs. Caleb Claudel #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH TO DETERMINE WHO FACES MERCEDES BLACKWELL AT SUMMER OF SIN: Xenia vs. Rebel vs. Dee Dee Summers Shaelin Marie Richlen and The Dream vs. Kim Coulter and Nathaniel Alexander Note the shortness of that ballot, by the way. I will mention it again momentarily. So, the vote may look something like this: FIW CHAMPIONSHIP: Stephen J. Eversol vs. Erik Holland Winner: Eversol "The Predator" Gustav David Richlen vs. Caleb Claudel Winner: Richlen #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH TO DETERMINE WHO FACES MERCEDES BLACKWELL AT SUMMER OF SIN: Xenia vs. Rebel vs. Dee Dee Summers Winner: Dee Dee Summers Shaelin Marie Richlen and The Dream vs. Kim Coulter and Nathaniel Alexander Winners: Coulter and Alexander Now, if anyone is worried that someone may be biased for their own character, remember that that person is one handler. They're outnumbered. 3. CARDS AND PPVS: In the first OC fed I was in, we did a show every week and a PPV replaced it every 4-6 weeks. Obviously, even with us having people who can easily pick up the slack on match writing, that may be a hard bit of work. This is why the ReVolt cards would be only four or five matches long. It also gives people a chance to not drain themselves writing for everyone they have at once. People can still do things for the show, of course: just because I only book NBE for a show, it doesn't mean Wighty can't do something with or for Zombie Black. PPVs of course, will have as much done as possible. Now as far as how we do PPVs: Nensai Senjou would no longer be the biggest show. Rise Of A Legend would have that honor. NS would be our Royal Rumble instead. I would do adjusting on the other PPVs as well: Summer of Sin stays, Blessed And Forsaken might stay, Anarchy In The UK and Deadlock would go. 4. MATCH WRITING: Everyone can write matches in the style they see fit. Most here do short stuff unless it's for a PPV. I'm used to doing lengthier writing. Both are fine. 5. CHARACTERS AND LIMITS: If you do plenty of writing on a regular basis, you can have multiple characters WITHIN REASON. Obviously Lita isn't going to suddenly have Harley, Caleb, Johnny, Brittany, and Kim PLUS a Burt Reynolds impersonator, an Incredible Hulk knockoff (which I have seen in one fed), and the ghost of Abraham Lincoln. Extreme example, I know, but my point. Also, I want to see loosening up of picbases WITHING REASON. If we want to use cartoon/anime/video game characters for picbases if we think we can do it sensibly, and if we have the editing ability to do so, then why not. 6. ATTITUDES AND HOW THEY ARE DEALT WITH: THIS may be the most important thing. I am guilty of being a major league asshole at times. We've all seen it. Hayden has dealt with my issues aplenty elsewhere so he knows how bad I could be. But it's how these things get handled that makes a difference. NOBODY is to be punished by being jobbed out, whether their work is good or not. I'd rather we handle things with the LEAST, AND I DO MEAN LEAST, amount of nastiness. That's not to say people can be just let off the hook for being assholes, but it is to say that drastic measures are the very last thing to be considered. Hopefully I've spelled out as clearly as I can what my ideas are as far as how I would run FIW. I would be honored if you gave me a chance. |

Leucippides Scheduling This is perhaps one of the biggest work arounds I've had to think of given I not only work nights but shift work as well. Meaning my schedule changes on a week by week basis and while I could say the show goes up on a night I'm off (because I see my schedule at least three weeks in advance) it wouldn't be fair to you guys to have constantly changing deadlines and showdates. So scheduling would stay the same. The workaround: I would open a staff based account, or just reuse the FIW Network like I've seen used before. Matches (which I'll get to) will be sent in to this one account that way, if there isn't enough to post a show by the time my work schedule begins, I can contact a backup of sorts to keep the best eye they can on the account and perhaps post up the show themselves. Worst case scenario, show goes up in the morning after the original airdate. This obviously leads to... Staff Yes, I do agree that too many cooks in the kitchen can be a bad thing, which is why I'd only accept a limited number of individuals. Perhaps just two or three as to not get things cluttered. Obviously, there can only be one head chef but I'd be open to communication from the others. Storylines If you don't give a general direction with your character through either your roleplays or to me specifically, I'll try and find you something. Obviously it would take a bit as I'd have to find someone who's in the same boat and test compatibility, but I would try to get something. A creative team would definitely help in this respect. Individuals who could create storylines and pass them to me. Judging and Match writing It'd be nice having an actual committee, but I would accept any and all volunteers wishing to help out. Match writing would be short results (with commentary being optional) with just a few paragraphs. PPV's would be nice to see fuller matches but we'll go by a volunteer basis. I don't wanna make it a rule or promise and then find out there's only two people willing to write a Summer of Sin or what have you. Character limitations If you can write them then you can have them. However, don't be surprised if a few of your characters don't make cards for the first little while. My plan is, for the first little bit (perhaps the first PPV period) is to have smaller cards so I can get a feel of everyone's characters at a slower pace rather than having everything thrown at me. After that, we'll definitely see what we can do about a card length. Volunteer writers will also play a heavy role in a grown card. Rising; FIW's nXt Not even gonna hide the comparison there. lol But I do like the idea of bringing in a separate show with the Rising title, and it seems like a popular choice among others. It would have smaller cards with perhaps headline main events. Mostly tag matches depicting FIW talent teaming with Rising talent with one Supercard before each PPV. Whether this replaces the preview show or not is undetermined and therefore open to debate. Do I have to go through Rising before coming to FIW proper? No. Rising would just be a fun little test area where talent can come and go as they please. Just, you know, lemme know if you don't wanna keep using the character. lol You can also move a current ReVolt character you have down here and vice versa. Rising Schedule I...haven't even thought of this. lol I was thinking something that could coincide with ReVolt's schedule but it might produce more workload for those on Rising and ReVolt of that period. I also considered making it micro with a 1K or 2K word count per RP, but I don't know how people would take to that. So certainly this too is open for debate. Championships None of them will be angled. That's kind of a big thing for me as I prefer titles be challenged for and earned/defended through the work put in. I do remember the discussion had a few months ago and I'm willing to let my own views slide in favor of the majority in keeping women from competing for the World and men competing for the Hellcat. FSC, Rising, and Tag titles I would like to keep intergender, however. Although I'm aware that presently (I think) the FSC isn't but with Rising moving to its own show it would leave at least the one midway title. Also toying with the notion of Rising being defended at the RatC events. Since it is a title, after all. PPVs To be honest, aside from giving the chance for a few one liners, I've never felt the importance of a show's title. So I'm open to suggestions in name changes. This includes Nensai Senjou it there's more demand on it. Crystal I wouldn't drop her but I would move her to Rising as a talent coordinator or something. Essentially, I wouldn't roleplay my own character. Not because I'm afraid of bias views, but because if I'm doing all this other stuff I'm not gonna have a chance to roleplay a character as well. lol Suggestions I'd be very open to taking them from everyone. But please keep in mind that until I decide to act, they are just that; suggestions. I can't start getting pulled every which way because then I start getting confused over what's going on. From what I've seen and read, Craig's over positivity has been taken a wrong way by some. I can understand that, but I can't say I would change it. If any ill matters can be dealt with on a private scope then that's how I'd handle things. It's like any kind of company, you don't yell at someone on the floor. That's why you have chairs in front of your desk at the office as well as a door. So my apologies to those who don't like the outward "nice guy" routine, but I'm a firm believer in "People don't know there's a problem until you tell them". This, of course, would mean if you do have problems with anything (whether it be judging or how things are being run in general or anything you feel can be fixed only by staff involvement) then I'd ask you come to me. I'm certain we can work something out. However, something I learned when I was in university and it's something I'll be implementing. It might annoy some, but I do ask that if you have problems with the results of a match I simply ask you wait 24hrs before putting in a complaint. The professor suggested 48 but given our own tight schedule I'm willing to cut it down in half. How will I implement it? Obviously I can't stop you from sending said messages, but I won't react to any sent within the 24hr period after a show has been posted. I'm not saying this to be a dick, there's just a scientific basis behind it all. I think that's everything. At least I hope it is. The tl;dr basis is...nothing HUGE will change too much, shows might be a little late, cards will be smaller for the first bit, and I'll be ripping off nXt with Rising. lol Make FIW Fun Again I didn't wanna add this to my campaign, mainly because...I can't. All I can do is try in a way that I have been. To me, a fed is something of a gathering for people with, at the very least, one common interest. Whether it be wrestling, or writing, or kooky characters, or whatever other thing you can place under the fed umbrella. I've always been proud of the OOC atmosphere we've had here in that you post up ain interest of yours and you're almost bound to get a response. Perhaps the thread doesn't take off, but you find out that you and someone else have something in common. That, in itself, can make things a lot more enjoyable. Knowing that you're watching a show or playing a game or even eating a meal and knowing you can just talk about it here. I know in some cases things can get toxic and we all hit bumpy patches along the OOC avenue. A lot of feds go through those. But we're all human. We get emotional and we can sometimes make mistakes. At least, I hope we all are. Some of you might be hyper intelligent gerbils, or aliens piggybacking off of a Starbucks open wifi, or you're just a cat who crosses the keyboard and has just gotten lucky up to this point. The point is I would hope that a vast majority of you are here for fun. I mean you can write anywhere. Some of you have chosen to write elsewhere, and that's fine. But it's ultimately the OOC atmosphere that makes the fed. At least that's how it is to me. That all said, however, what can I do as a GM to help that along? As I said, there's not much I can do. I can't make it a rule to tell everyone to think happy thoughts and say happy things. I can keep posting random stuff every little while in the OOC to see if people are interested enough to discuss it. I can keep an open door policy for ideas and/or judging. But ultimately, making the place fun is a group effort. I know some people find their fun in the results and that's fine. Like food and movies it gives you something you can discuss with others. But, at the same time, we have to admit that that can be our most toxic centre. Again, I'm not saying being more invested in the results is a bad thing, just that emotions tend to run a little higher as compared to other topics I've seen. All I can do there is again put out my 24 hour rest period. In that time, you can try and distract yourself or think from other angles or whatever you wish to do. After the 24hr period, I'd be more than willing to discuss the how and why of results. I'm not saying to leave the feedback thread empty for 24hrs, just if you have concerns give the pause for thought. While at the same time, I can admit that the 24hrs would be for me as well. Putting in writing effort, compiling, hopefully posting the show, getting up the feedback thread and the new card...I might be emotionally drained and would need a chance to recover. I wouldn't want to have to respond to concerns right away because, in that state, I'm not certain what even I would say as sometimes it might wind up being the opposite of helpful. So there's my platform on fun. Here's Spongebob's. |

Willie Hi Y'all, I'm Will. I have been competitively roleplaying in FIW, NGIW and dozens of other places for close to 15 years. Y'all are more than welcome to PM me questions and concerns. Don't expect me to react positively to unfair criticism though. I know what's fair and unfair. Because I need my potential stewardship of FIW to be as simple as possible, I will be proposing some pretty simple ground rules. - ReVolt would remain at its week-and-a-half schedule. That works the best for everybody as an aggregate, so I will do the same. I'll open the FIW Network app for writers to send matches to, but I can change things on the fly if need be. I only work in the morning 90% of the time, so I've often got the rest of the day to handle FIW stuff. -Matches will at minimum be 500 words. You're welcome to go longer if you want to, if youve got the creative bug, but you absolutely dont have to. - We will STRICTLY become an RP based fed, point blank period. I consider pro wrestling, in kayfabe terms to be the greatest demonstration of "what have you done for me lately". If you are consistently, and I mean consistently the best roleplayer, you can expect to have the most success. Anytime you slip up or have an off week is a chance for someone else to step up. Competitive is there for a reason. - This goes double for championships. I feel the most skilled roleplayers should be our champions. There won't be any angles going into title changes, either. If you outplay the champion on a given week, you will win the title. I think that that's just the fairest way to do it and provides for a lot more competition. - The only sort of complicated thing I want to do, because I love how creative people get with stables, is to incorporate a Six-Man Tag Team Championship. Would basically work exactly the same way as the World Tag Titles, except...six man tags. And intergender teams would be absolutely welcome to compete. I will make other small changes to the rules and presentation, such as tours and so on, that would be more cosmetic than anything else. All other titles and how they're contended stay the same. -I want to make a change to the Grand Prix tournament as well. Inspired by the G1 Climax, I would turn the Grand Prix into a round-robin tournament with the competitors divided into blocks. I'll take who I feel to be the top 16 roleplayers from the past year and divide them into 8 person blocks, so that everybody faces each other at least once over the course of a couple of shows. The finals would be equivalent to say, ReVolt Against the Champions, with the semifinal and final matches being on the same show. Winner gets an FIW Championship shot at our Wrestlemania-equivalent PPV. This, again, would be STRICTLY RP BASED. I'm not in the business of setting things up for one person to win and no amount of cajoling will change my mind on that. This means, potentially, if you are in the semis, you could win the semis but lose the final if you don't out roleplay everyone else in the semis. If the winner would like to put his/her shot on the line like they would a title, I'm welcome to that too, they need only to contact me to put it in motion. -I will reboot all our Pay-Per-View names and take suggestions from you all on what they should be. -I would have a very small staff, maybe three other people besides me, at MOST five, that have experience leading feds and would be able to help me make decisions. Buck stops with me; they wouldn't be a shadow government type of thing that runs things in the background. This also goes with judging matches. I will take input and then make the final decision myself. I think decisions being up to me, good or bad, reflects the best on the fed because again, buck stops with me, and I'm happy to explain my reasoning anytime. I will name my staff publicly as soon as they're decided upon so everybody is comfortable. - I'll drop the Badd Breed and MAYBE continue with Erik Holland, if I choose to I won't judge my own RPs. I'll leave that up to my staff. - Even though we'd STRICTLY be an RP fed, I am open to ideas as far as feuds and angles so long as the idea has a start, middle, and end so we don't flounder. Plus, it's easier for me to book angles if I know which shows need to advance the feuds and so on. Speaking of, I'll start making more use of the Whiteboard to keep straight who is the champions, who's contending, who's feuding and so forth. |

Wight I'm Wight. My first match here was back on the old board, thousands of years ago. I've taken several large breaks from FIW and I've run it three times before in the past, and each time something stupid has happened and I couldn't commit. I ran NGIW and a handful of other feds in the last 15 years as well, the proudest stretch being seven years of consistent NGIW-ness that ended in 2014. I was thirsty to get back to running FIW after my life settled down, but I'll be honest in saying at this point I'm not so sure. I have a very specific vision, and not only does FIW not do well with a specific vision, but I don't do well with having my vision stymied. I've had a LOT of conversations with my close friends and family over the last few weeks to this extent, that have helped me come to this conclusion, but it seemed like the choice was between me and 'no FIW at all', and... goddamn this place has just been such a source of good times for me over the years. I couldn't let it die. And yet here's my very close friend Nir stepping up to the plate as well with some ridiculously good ideas that I'm disappointed I didn't think of. Sounds like hell to manage though, so here's my pitch. If I'm going to run FIW I'd need to run it my way. FIW has a lot of legacy, and the first time I became GM back in 2007 I sort of shoved that aside in favor of a green-hued hybrid of FIW and NGIW that was meant to start a revolution. It was egotistical, and I was also young and stupid and made a lot of bad decisions both creatively and personally that continue to plague me and FIW as an entity to this day. I want to return FIW to its roots, aesthetically. We have a Tuesday show and a Friday show. I see no reason why they can't be called TNT and Slam!, respectively. Nice blue poster and text color for TNT, nice red ones for Slam!, it's a great way to remember which show is on which day and it brings back the soul of FIW that many of us "grew up" with. With that in mind, the board scheme and logo could use a nice, neutral color. White, maybe. Light gray. Purple, even. We'll see. It's no secret I hate the name Nensai Senjou. It's a stupid, poorly-translated name that doesn't actually apply to what our anniversary show is, and all but forces us into Japan every year. It's my fault it exists and I reserve the right to kill it. I want to have an anniversary show, I want to keep it in the date range of Nensai Senjou, but that name is awful and it needs to go. Similarly, I'm tired of seeing the exact same pay-per-views every year. It's no secret I'm not fond of Blessed and Forsaken to begin with. Rise of a Legend isn't bad, but… it's also not great. Deadlock is OK, but again… I don't know that we need it every year. Summer of Sin and Anarchy in the U.K. are fine. I don't mind having a few slots that don't rotate, and our anniversary PPV (whatever the hell the new name is) would obviously also not rotate. But the other three slots would be fun to mix up for both themeing and sheer variety's sake. Another massive thing that needs to change is mentality. We call ourselves a competitive RP board and I think that seeps into the way we conduct ourselves a little too much. This is something most of us are guilty of; I know I am in recent enough memory, and I have been in the past. We argue that it doesn't make sense that a wrestler gets paid more money for winning a match in real life… to that same extent, it doesn't make much sense that a writer wins a match because their RPs were better for one match. I have no specific designs on changing this… angle feds result in lowered productivity and the decay of the fed, and I can't think of another way to determine winners that isn't extremely convoluted. But just as the practice back in the day was to give the loser the larger purse, or share your payout with the heel that helped put you over, the approach when writing and judging roleplays needs to be shifted. - Write to sell the match, not to win an argument with your opponent. - Matches are won on quality, not on quantity. - Stop repeating yourselves. These are the three most egregious things I see when judging matches. They create a hostile, stressful environment for handlers, and I've had numerous complaints to that extent. Insulting your opponent or whatever is one thing, but if you're going to insult them ALSO uplift them. "Nathaniel Alexander is a canny wrestler, but he's also a giant jackass." "The Dream is a stupid wuss, but he ALWAYS finds a way to outsmart the competition." etc. etc. I'm going to be more pleased if it seems like both competitors in a match have a good shot. Those close calls are a nightmare for judges to make a final decision on, but that makes for awesome, unexpected twists and turns in the plot of the game. Plus it's a lot nicer to lose a match that you both put over, instead of it feeling like "my opponent won, so he's right; I am a giant wuss-weiner and a loser". There are also those among you who will write five RPs of varying degrees of quality to "keep up" with an opponent who themselves are rather prolific. It's not a race. It's not about who gets the most "points". Sit down, concentrate, arrange your thoughts, and write ONE roleplay at your best quality. If you find another full roleplay within you later in the week, write it. If not, give us something on Twitter. Write a short few-lines response to your opponent. But please don't set up the framework of an entire RP where you repeat what you said in each RP before it before actually getting to the new nugget of content. It's tedious to read through, and if a roleplay is tedious I'm less likely to want that character to win. Most importantly, SELL THE MATCH. I miss the days when people were EXCITED for an event to go down, no matter what the outcome. A lot of that came down to two handlers who really built some exciting content toward the final showdown. Some folks still do that today, and I thank them for it. Those are the kind of RPs I love to vote to win, when someone gets me jazzed to see two people fight. I hate that I have to bring this up 'cuz we were doing so well for so long, but I'd also remind you guys to keep your cool after a loss. Nothing kills the momentum of a great show faster than someone throwing a tantrum in feedback, or beating the shit out of themselves for not writing well enough, or whatever. I posted a big long thread that makes a lot of references to Dungeons and Dragons on the subject, but let me remind you; in a fed of 10 people, 5 of them are going to lose every week. If management is doing its job and booking you against people of equal talent, your win rate should be around 50%. But some folks just don't seem happy unless their win rate is more like 70-90%. That's silly. That's not likely to happen here outside of a storyline, and it shouldn't elsewhere. So, all right. Let's get to the two big things. I'll try to make it quick. 1. Twitter integration is increasing. Twitter is like a giant party thread that never stops. What's better is you don't have to read everything to catch up, you can drop in and out as need be, your alerts tell you when somebody talks directly to you, you can interrupt people mid-conversation and it's not rude… you can even go in DMs to have private conversations and such. It's the perfect tool for character development. Hands down. Our current Twitter thread will be closed and archived. If you want to do Twitter stuff… get a Twitter. It isn't hard and it's free. Using it would be completely optional, but it would be considered when looking at a handler's body of work either to judge a match or decide who has the dedication to earn a title shot. Now, don't flip out; a couple of lazy tweets aren't going to give somebody some kind of automatic edge or some nonsense. But a lot of great interaction goes down on Twitter. Some really great one-liners, and some really good character development. Stephen Eversol, for example, I feel I've gotten to understand as a character better by watching what he does on Twitter. It's also a great place to get a few lines out before the deadline. You'll still lose, but there's a difference between completely no-showing and at least putting out a tiny effort. Lita has set up the Twitter feeds in the footer as part of this… apparently Craig agreed enough with the core concept of higher visibility to start trying to facilitate it. She's also finally got it to the point where's it's giving us (mostly) relevant Tweets from our roster, so even if you don't wanna be on Twitter or can't put it on your phone or whatever, you can check out what people are saying at-a-glance. 2. One judge; me. I'm having a hard time explaining this concept that basically boils down to "too many cooks spoil the broth." We're all trying to tell stories here, and the more opinions on what makes a good story are added on top of the GM and the individual handlers, the less logical the path of the story becomes. This is especially the case when one week there are three judges, and the next there are five, and the next there's only one… etc. etc. I might've said a lot of stuff in the past that makes me think I hate your style of roleplaying, or your character, or whatever… but I think if you saw the way I've been judging stuff over the past few years you might be pleasantly surprised. 2017 Wight is not 2016 Wight, nor 2015, nor 2012, nor 2007. Relax, and for the most part write whatever makes you happy. If you're afraid of coloring outside the lines, here's a few simple tips. - SELL THE MATCH. - Be concise. If you don't feel like you have enough to say to write an RP, wait until you think of more stuff. Don't just pad it out with nonsense for the sake of getting something up early. I might not like deadline bombs, but I also don't like reading pointless crap. - Be realistic. No kidnapping, murder, or stuff you wouldn't see on most wrestling shows/reality TV. If you'd see it on Impact wrestling, maybe ask yourself twice before you commit. Supernatural powers are OK in small doses for specific characters, but try to keep it reasonable to fake with practical effects (for the live audience) and video editing (for recorded stuff). - Be uplifting if you're going to be insulting. - RP early, RP often, and try not to miss… - … BUT WRITING GOOD RPS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WRITING A LOT OF THEM. - Kill Your Darlings Lemme go into that last one a little further; if you wanna write your wrestler going on a date with another wrestler, AWESOME. That's a great way to develop both characters and maybe even talk about their matches. But if it's five pages of stuff you LOVE… maybe cut that down to two. Post the whole thing as an FIW.com exclusive. You think Total Divas doesn't edit their footage for the good stuff? Just bear in mind that somebody else has to read that. If we like it, that's great. But if we don't like it or aren't interested? I and any other judge would be more likely to appreciate you giving us the best parts of your work and offering the total package to anyone else who wants to read it than forcing us to sift through a three-hour dinner scene to find out that one of the characters is pregnant and they think the baby may now technically be the Hellcats Champion. THIS DOES NOT MEAN CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IS BAD AND I DON'T WANNA SEE IT. THIS DOES NOT MEAN ROMANCE IS BAD AND I DON'T WANNA SEE IT. THIS MEANS I AND YOUR OPPONENT(S) HAVE TO READ A LOT OF STUFF AND IF YOU COULD AVOID REPEATING YOURSELF AND CUT THE DROSS, THAT'D BE GREAT. I haven't fully decided if I'm still going to be actively competing or not. I'd like to, but I just don't know. If I DO, I'll reach out to a neutral party to judge my matches for me. Because if I'm judging them myself, I'm always going to pick myself to lose. That's the biggest stuff. I've got a few other bullet points, like… regulating match length a bit to make the show more uniform and reward handlers for their work proportionately. Being more transparent about who's on the creative team and keeping that number small. I feel like our Hellcat roster could be a bit healthier as well… not sure what I could do about that, but it's been made clear to me enough people love the title and wanna see it stick around that we need to figure out how to work with what we've already got rather than try to change things up. I'd like to run an appreciation night for one of the other bygone feds that isn't NGIW. Similar to the NGIW appreciation night, it'd be current wrestlers who used to be in that fed being put over, icons/legends brought in for one night only to put over current FIW talent, and the like. I thought NWW might be a good candidate for this, but I'll be honest in saying I'm not on the best terms with Ash and don't know who else was really involved with the fed to properly organize this. I'd love to hear your ideas. Aaaaaaand if I don't get elected I'll probably just start up another fed off to the side. Not NGIW. Likely not Neon Gen. Either way I'd be around to help out in whatever capacity I was able. |
