The scene fades in with a shot of Samael standing in front of a monitor in the backstage area. The last few seconds of the interview between Torrie and Toby are playing in the monitor before it fades to black. Samael stays staring at the monitor for a brief second, a cocky looking smile on his face, before turning to the camera and beginning to speak. Samael: You know, I’ve been accused of using the same shtick before but this takes the cake. Torrie, as far as I can remember, you’ve been chasing that Openweight Title since I had it before leaving TNT. I proved to you then that you should give up the fight for it by beating you and retaining it and yet you continued to fight for it. This time do yourself a favor Torrie…I am telling you…give it up now because you stand no chance against me to get that shot at it. I hope for your sake, and for the sake of the people that have to sit and watch your failure, that you finally learn from your mistake of chasing the title and stop going after it. When we step into that ring, you will have just as much of a chance of taking that title shot as you did when you stepped up against me to take the actual title from me. You stood no chance then and you stand no chance now! The cocky smile has faded from Samael’s face and instead is replaced with a stern, determined sort of look as he continues to stare into the camera for a moment before speaking again. Samael: You’ve gone after that title many times in just over a year…common sense would suggest that you might as well give it up because you will NEVER be good enough to defeat anybody to take that title, and you will certainly not beat me to get the shot for it. I guess some of us have more common sense than others. Aside from your lack of talent hindering you in the ring, stopping you from your goal of taking the Openweight title, there is one other thing that will hinder you this time. You see, I’ve been waiting for a long time since my injury and return here for this chance to come to me again, I will NOT let it slip from my grasp! I will not fall short as you have time and time again! After I defeat you for that title shot, I will go on to face Sam Kinloch and start on my second reign as Openweight Champion and this time I will have a longer reign than I did the first time around. As you’ve probably guessed, the cocky smile comes back on Samael’s face after that last sentence. It stays for a few moments before fading away as he continues to speak. Samael: You so adamantly stressed the fact that you’re tired of chasing the Openweight title, and that you will stop at nothing to get it. Well, you may be tired of chasing it, and believe me everyone in attendance of the shows as well as everyone watching at home and here in the back is tired of watching you fail time and time again so once again I will tell you, GIVE…IT…UP! From here on in that will be your only choice going into a match for that title or even for a shot at it because, contrary to what you say, there are many things stopping you, the major factor being your complete lack of talent in that ring. You can go around pretending that you’re the best thing to grace an FIW ring, but you and I both know that that is far from the truth and just to show you everybody else that may not believe it, I am going to prove exactly that just as I did the last time I stepped into the ring against you! The cocky smile returns yet again and this time stays for a bit longer before fading yet again as Samael continues on. Samael: You know, it’s quite obvious why Torrence decided to have you as her “mentor” of sorts…as they say birds of a feather flock together. Neither one of you has any talent in that ring so it makes sense that you would stick together. It’s also quite obvious that the only other reason you let Torrence be with you is to provide you with a false sense of security, allowing you to believe that there is someone who sucks more than you do…but believe me Torrie that will never be possible…and I’m sure that is in more ways than one. Normally I would say that the deck is stacked against me in the ring when going up against somebody who has another person on their side that may interfere in the match, but in this case I can’t say that is true. You see, I’ve beaten you both with ease so even if both of you stepped up at the same time I would still come out of the match with the victory. Samael lets out a slight chuckle after that last sentence, After a slight pause, Samael continues to speak. Samael: You say you are going to pull out all the stops when we step in that ring, but you see I’m sure pulling out all the stops has completely different meanings for both us. You see when I say I will pull out all the stops in any match there is always somebody who walks out of that ring having shed many pints of blood, there is always somebody who walks out of that ring with a completely new idea in their head of what it means to feel pain, a new idea of what it means to suffer. You don’t have to worry though, because you will not have the same future, you see when I pull out all the stops in that ring, the damage will be far worse than anything I have ever done to any of my opponents so there is little chance you will feel anything, let alone feel any pain after the match is over. The end of the line has come for you and your chance of ever becoming Openweight Champion. Samael is about to step out of the camera’s view but instead he turns back to face it and speaks one last time. Samael: I have one final thing to say. Just like many people here you have your little catch phrase…just like that. Well I’m sure it has never been more fitting in any situation than it is now. You see when we step in the ring against each other for our match the victory will be mine after I take you out…just like that. I will slash your hopes of becoming Openweight Champion as I have to so many others in that ring and it will happen just like that! One last time Torrie…give it up because the Death Angel will soon descend upon you in that ring and carry you out of the arena and take you to the barren land known as the Unholy Trinity, the land where all Darkness Rises! The shot for the Openweight title will be mine as will the title itself when I defeat you and go on to defeat Sam Kinloch for that belt! Samael turns to his left and steps out of the camera’s view. The camera stays in the same position for a moment before fading to black. |
