Guess I'll add some sort of feedback here. Three matches on one show. Never again, please. Especially when we have two shows here now. Unfortunately, that's about all I have right now. I don't know if this is something to get upset about, but it was a hot topic last week. Blink loses and immediately disappears from the arena. ??? Everything else was too long so I skimmed for now. Sakura won, kinda expected that to happen. Catherine won. Surprised me there a little. Also, that match is up now. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

I hope people like Quincy vs Roy. I tried to keep up the steam Lita built for me last week with Roy's name change and I feel it gets the goal accomplished. Yeah, I echo Jo's sentiments. With their being two shows I thought there would be less double booking on the same shows. Could have used that extra day to actually get a Roy RP out. But I've been double booked in the past and got stuff up, so I guess there's no excuse. Neo vs Finn was cool too, Neo is becoming real despicable and the day he gets knocked off the mountain is going to be a huge superstar making moment. Darian Gray will have his moment in the sun, one day. One day. |

I originally had planned for Blink Vs. Nemesis to take place on Fallout, but then that would have made it six matches and four on Fallout and I think someone had said something about me having a similar number of matches the first week we had the two show schedule. I had already had it scheduled that the FSC would be on Fallout, I wanted to keep Neo and DEATH on opposite shows, and the Owen/Shaun Wilson match I felt would be better suited on the night after the Tag Turmoil announcement was made. On the other hand Catherine was locked in for ReVolt and Sakura I think has been on just Fallout since its inception so I wanted to get her a match on ReVolt. But yeah Ill try my best to avoid triple booking on one show. My mistake on the missing match, but it's up now. For some reason for the past three or four weeks every single time I'm wrapping up and posting the show, my laptop just randomly decides to do an update. No warning, no save your shit in the next five minutes or you'll lose it, just all of a sudden screens start to vanish and it logs me off. Not going to lie, a couple weeks ago when we had a bit of a writer drought, I can't say just how close I came to just quitting when it happened. I had like four hours to get up for work and I had at least an hour and a half worth of coding, compiling, editing that I was just about finished with (like I literally was moving down to push the button to post) and I knew I would not possibly be able to redo everything I lost. Luckily, Firefox managed to allow me to restore my pages, but apparently that's a "whenever it feels like doing it" kind of thing because I got no restore option at all last night and had to redo the second post from scratch at like 3:30 in the morning. No Blink didn't disappear after her loss...she was just kind of out and the camera thought it would just let her sleep. But no it's just typical "other stuff happened outside the ring" and the camera focused on that. Different situation from last week where Sakura was actually involved in the post-match assault, got sent out so Brittany could be double teamed but after Brittany was saved I forgot to bring her back. I mean other than just saying Blink just watched from the ring, there wasn't much else she would've been involved with. Anyways, I'll have credits when Fallout goes up so I can set them both together. |

I feel like sometimes we only complain in these feedback topics, let's show some praise. All hail Marc, our great benevolent tyrant king. *bows* But in all seriousness Marc, you kick ass. 3:30 for you is 12:30 for me, so if you ever find yourself in a situation like that and I'm around, never fear to ask if I can do the compiling or what have you. I'm always down to help.

So... Fallout feedback. I'm going to start by saying congratulations to Will so that there are no misconceptions about what I'm about say. I am very happy for Will and I think he's doing fantastic with Erik Holland. This week was the best I've ever seen from Holland. His interactions felt refreshing while remaining genuine to the character. It's something I'd like to see more of with Holland. However, I disagree 100% with the decision to change the Fighting Spirit Championship from Mark Cannon to Erik Holland. Is it selfishness because I would prefer the belt remain in the Mark/Johnny story? There's a possibility. I'm not going to lie. I feel like the belt was a MAJOR part of the Mark/Johnny feud. I've been told numerous times that the Mark/Johnny feud is about "more than the FSC" but I would respond by saying those people aren't paying attention. Sure, there is more to the story. It's not strictly a title feud. However, the actual feud part of this angle was because of the Fighting Spirit Championship. So, to have it ripped from the angle is pretty darn devastating. Now, I've spoken on this issue more than once in the past. I'm sure Will is quite familiar with it at this point as he has been around for practically all of my... let's say, rants. But I do not agree with rewarding no-shows with championship belts. I think it's insulting to those who do their best to keep up with all the characters they choose to play. Erik Holland was fantastic this week. Owen McConnaigh was good this week. Finn McConnaigh... wasn't there. The effort put out for a FSC match was spectacular and really showed how much the title meant to Holland. The effort put out against Neo Carner was insulting. I think it is disrespectful to ignore one roleplayer because their match doesn't have as much at stake, especially if the turn out for the title match is as abundant as what was put out for the FSC. And that is all I'm going to say on that issue. Once again, congratulations to Will. I think you are a fantastic writer and an even better person. I am happy for you, even if I'm highly annoyed about the situation. I hope I have not upset anyone with this feedback. I have already spoken privately with Marc (as well as a couple others as it pertains to this situation), but I wanted to make my feelings known publicly should a similar situation occur again because my opinion on giving title belts to someone who no-shows with another character in the same week will always remain the same. Good day. |

I only have a couple minutes before I go to wotk so, before this thread goes Lord of the Flies on us, the Fsc match was my call. I'm the one who pushhed so hard for Holland to win. I even told Marc "if people like it, you get the credit. If they don't, I'll take the blame." I own the decision and take full responsibility for it. That being said I'll give more in-depth thoughts on the matter later tonight/early tomorrow and there are no hard feelings towards anyone who disagrees with the call. |

I understand completely where you are coming from, Lita. While I don't have an opinion one way or another as no creative decision is my call, and I'm merely competing and trying to win titles, I see where you're coming from. Honestly, about 98% of my creative energy these past few weeks has been about Erik Holland. It is in no way a slight to Seph that I no-showed as Finn, largely because by the time I sat down to prepare an RP as him I didn't have time to finish before the deadline hit. I would have wound up either deadline bombing or getting it in late, which would have accomplished nothing except probably taking more attention away from the FSC match. Secondly, because I have been really struggling to declare a direction with the McConnaigh boys, I am about this close to just dropping them from the fed entirely, win over Shaun Wilson plus a title shot or not. Let's be honest, my roleplay as Owen really sucked. I wasn't happy with it at all, it felt to me like an extremely paint by numbers RP that I wouldn't have won with had T-Mac responded. I respect Seph immensely as a player, I love him, he's Iron Sheik class. And I think he's been absolutely setting the world on fire as the Dual Crown Champion, and I don't think my struggles with the Clan would really do him justice as far as an honest-to-goodness challenge. Quite frankly, I think I'd be insulting him more thoroughly by putting up a bad roleplay that I don't have my heart in. I was, as a matter of fact, preparing and have made the decision to have Marc quietly drop them, all three, from the fed after this show so that Erik could have my undivided attention and I can continue to write him the way I have been, as I feel like I haven't played this well with any of my characters. I don't feel right about no-showing even when I have a good reason, let alone when I don't have a good reason. I apologize to Seph and I really do hope you don't feel insulted by me not playing you as hard as I played Mark. Regarding the championship match, you absolutely did a tremendous job writing it. That was a pleasure and I think it's one of the better matches youve ever written, and not just because I won. What this means for your feud with Mark, I don't know, but I think it's gotten that much more interesting now. I really do believe it's about more than the title, but now that neither Johnny or Mark have it, I am intrigued to see where it goes from here. And, it's an excuse to work with you again, Lita, as you're one of my favorites to play with. By the way, huge props to Mark. You fucking belong here, dude. You and I went to war all week and I love your character. I think you are destined for greater things beyond that title. And your guy looked like an animal in defeat. That all being said I just saw Machine Head last night and my head is still ringing from how loud it was, so I am going to relax, enjoy my victory and head up to class. Great show gang. |

Honestly I'm totally fine with it. I knew I was fucked when I read Perfectly Flawed. It was an awesome RP dude. And you really did earn it. From a story perspective it sorta helps with I'm going even if the fight with Johnny isn't going to be for the FSC. |

I honestly cannot believe how many new faces are just destroying it right now. It is really great to see such a dynamic shift since I had to take a step back. I miss you guys, even though I don't know some of you. I see so much potential for work for Asante when I can finally get my schedule working to allow for pleasurable and relaxing mental exercises. Right now, I'm more or less brain dead by the time I pull into the driveway. I want to tip my hat to Willie, who we all know that I love dearly. Congrats at getting back to true Willie form, man. I can't wait to come back just in time to deprive you of another record breaking FSC title reign. I know you've got it in you to hold it that long! Ryan, man, you have indeed been killing it and not just with Neo. Jim, don't forget about me! I haven't forgotten about you. Is there a heart emoticon I could put here? Jim deserves one! Also Kyle! It is also great seeing Jo getting more enthusiastic again. Jo's my favourite sometimes. Sometimes I'm my favourite. Lets see...this is dated praise, but I love Bloodbath and wish I could work opposite him at some point. Same goes for Cannon and Amazing. Really liking everything about those two. Ummm...my opportunity of a lifetime doesn't expire, right? Because I can't very well have three characters walking around with a DC title shot they never manage to cash in. |

"Your" is spelled wrong on that poster.[/dickhead] Also, this isn't so much feedback, but I figured I'd use to forum to make it public knowledge since this thread is so popular right now... I might be dropping the Helena Handbasket character before she even gets going. Posting an application was kind of a knee jerk reaction because I had ideas strictly for the application... apart from playing flirty fun with Cody which is obviously not my forte I really don't know what to do with her. So yeah. Just an FYI. |

Eh, I've been there where I had three matches and I paid more attention to the DC match. It happens. Course, had Finn beaten Neo he could have been making himself a case for the DC, but let's not give Willie ideas. Shows were good, both were great. I really tried to put an effort in building up all my matches for the show. Dunno what I'm gonna do with Roy/Douglas but I got an idea... |

Sorry meant to jump on here earlier to take care of credits and such but haven't gotten around to it. Anyways, I'm glad the FSC title change was well-received especially by Dan. I can say that it was a very difficult decision being so close to the PPV among other circumstances. But the response was extremely resounding on just how amazing Erik was last week and it wasn't just Jim either who were that convinced that Holland earned the win. No one had anything bad to say about Cannon's performance, it was all positive just everyone was incredibly impressed by Will's work with Holland. So congratulations to Will on the victory. I was still reserved but I didn't want to set a bad precedent that if someone isn't in a current program with the champion that an incredible effort wouldn't be properly rewarded. That in itself would be bad because then what would be the point in any title matches before PPV's if there is no chance of the champion dropping the belt. I'm a little bummed that the McConnaighs are going to be dropped but I fully understand. I'd rather you have a full focus on just one character than having to split it between multiples and allow it to affect quality. I am a little stuck on what I'll do after I made the Tag turmoil match, I'd have to maybe figure another team to fit into it. I've got an idea now though of who I could possibly replace them with... Opportunity of a Lifetime I'd say probably would have a year long expiration storyline wise and I think you'd still have about 4-6 months left. But if it takes you a little longer to get back I'm sure no one would complain if there was a slight extension. Fist bump for Cody...you were amazing congrats Anyways, I have to say it was an excellent week, so much production that I almost didn't notice the few no shows, so major props go to you guys as well as thanks to everyone who helped write, judged, and sent in segments. Well, I was expecting a lot more pitchforks and torches earlier. Glad I was wrong. Okay, so, Erik/Mark... I'll have to echo the sentiments that those guys stole the roleplay board last week and everything those guys put out was top notch quality. Dual Crown quality, even. But I gave the edge to Erik over Perfectly Flawed because it was, honestly and with no exaggeration, one of the best babyface roleplays I've ever read. It got to a point where I didn't feel like I was reading the words of a created wrestler in an e-fed. I felt like I was in the presence of a man who was bearing his soul. It was like Dusty Rhodes' Hard Times promo, but given under a full moon by a Rob Zombie movie protagonist. So when Marc posted on the board that he wanted some input on the matches, I gave much more than my 2 cents to him on the matter. "Strike the iron while the iron is hot" was what I said to him essentially. So I was feeling really good about my feedback to Marc on the matter, only for later on Lita to point out to me that Will no-showed one of his characters and I think that that's a valid point. It didn't rain on my parade but I didn't really feel as good as about my pitch for Erik to win the FSC as I did before. And even with pushing so hard for Erik to come out on top, I still had a long term plan in mind - we would still get Mark/Johnny at Legend (in ideally a cage match); the midway point between Legend & Anarchy would have a triple threat for the FSC between Erik/Johnny/Mark, then at Anarchy we would get A.) Johnny/Mark for the FSC if one of them won the previous triple threat or B.) Erik vs the winner of a FSC #1 contender match between Mark/Johnny. But then I was told none of this was gonna happen, and I felt sad. ![]() I actually wound up having to amend most of what I was gonna say about this topic because I was afraid this thread was going to be a lot more combative and I didn't know so many people PM'ed Marc and went to bat for Erik. I think Lita made a lot of really good points earlier and that they should be something to think about should we find ourselves in that position again. I think Will made the right decision dropping the irish guys - I'm disappointed to see them go because they are fun and interesting characters, but I hate to see them float around in the midcard's basement because they aren't Will's top priority. Maybe Finn can stick around and be your secondary character/"special attraction" that gets used sparingly, sort of like what I'm doing with Rougarou right now? Just something to consider. Anyway, in closing on this subject, Lita, Dan, Will, Marc, Seph to some extent, big time air hug. *hugs* ![]() So, some other stuff happened. I had a blast working last week and I wasn't even booked. Word of advice to new people - just take one week off and do what I did once in awhile. Just take a week off to do some character building and playing in the sandbox. Last week was a reason I enjoy fedding so much; because your wrestler can be the main character in one storyline and be a bit player in another. You can be a hero to one person and a villain to another all at once and if you keep an eye on detail, you can tie it all together and make it work. And if your character is a babyface? Have 'em screw up sometimes. Write them to be wrong in a situation and have them learn from it. I mean, we don't have a fed full of Mary Sue's but most of us are pretty protective over our characters. Write your character to be vulnerable, especially if they're babyface, because the reader can relate with that. I admit I haven't read much of either show because I've been racking my brain over the FSC situation but I will make an effort to read as much as I can in the coming days and give my thoughts on what I read. |

Erik winning on the strength of his RPs is fine, but I have to question creating the situation where the FSC could be removed from the Johnny Amazing/Mark Cannon business, when the belt had been worked in to their story so well, especially when there's no obvious challenge for Erik at the PPV. Mid cycle defences are no bad thing, especially if there isn't the story in place, as there is in this situation. However, Will was excellent, so no complaints on that score. Would it be possible to increase the RP Window? I am finding it hard to communicate with other RPers to create something in the current timescale. In part, this is because I am an idiot, and in part, it's because I'm five hours out of step with everyone else. Good work on the ReVolt opener, Steve, but Bisenshi Sakura shortens to Sakura, because Bisenshi is more of a title than a name. |

So...what does this mean for the tag match this week? Should I bother writing something for the Spectre Girls? Or try and work something better for Catherine? Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

Picky, picky! ![]() Overall thanks to everyone that wrote, compiled, contributed to the show. I agree with Dai about the RP window. With shows being late and such my RP time is very limited and my work schedule makes for more sleep & work than fun. So an extra day or so would be nice, especially if the show is late. I was happy with how my match was written and despite being bummed that I lost. I'm also ok with the way I lost as it flows with my current storyline. Now if I could just get myself out of this funk I'm in RP wise. |

Yeah I'll say the no show on Finn kind of dampered things for me making the decision, but I got the news that they possibly could get dropped when I was fleshing out the Schwartz/Tag Team segment. So I didn't think it was something I should dock him for as they were going to be on the way out. Making the match so close to the PPV, I won't lie, I honestly did not think it would come down to that. No slight on Willie, his work with Holland before was good, just Cannon looked almost untouchable since Nensai Senjou and I wanted Cannon to have at least one defense under his belt before he went to the PPV to face Johnny. So I was thinking Will would put some good stuff out and Dan would continue to blow the doors off. Instead Dan still blew the doors off...but Will burnt the place to the ground (and no that wasn't intended to be a Twilight/El Valiente pun ) For Spectre Girls/ McConnaighs, Will told me just go ahead with the match this week so I'll leave it on. Especially considering I got a message from Sid that he wouldn't be able to RP, so Nemesis/Catherine is going to be called off. I was wanting to have some sort of contract segment with Catherine and Schwartz during the show, so she'll still be making an appearance. Whew...RP window extension could be rough to do. I already went from Friday night to Saturday and that's caused things to shift from where we were getting things in perfectly on time around the time RAW was on to where it's now between 2-4AM before I finish posting. I don't really consider the show being late, I know some do, but the way I see it it's still Monday on the west coast....so technically it still makes it out on Monday just super late Monday. A Sunday Night deadline...that's almost guaranteeing nothing will make it out on time because Sunday has always been my work day for the show. I work until almost 6PM on Mondays and I usually have things I've got to take care of so sometimes it isn't until 8-9 before I can even sit down at the computer for an extended period. If I've got a Main Event, compilation, coding and a few segments to put in and any matches that aren't taken there's no way I can pull all of that off in six hours, especially since my laptop likes to choose Monday and Tuesday 3AM to randomly do a Windows update. I've already been keeping it at midnight instead of 8PM like I originally planned so it would compensate for the 2-4AM postings but it would completely throw us off if we added an extra day to the deadlines. And that's not even taking into account trying to make decisions and having them out to the writers... The best solution I could think of would be distancing the shows out at least nine and ten days apart to allow a seven to eight day RP window and still have time to get the shows out on a timely basis. I've said plenty of times that I am for this, I somewhat think it could save myself some of the burnout I've been feeling as of late from going every single week, it gives everyone a wider window to RP. But it's something that's been brought up before and usually gets shot down as it is akin to how NGIW's window was . But it's really the only thing I can think of that gives you guys a decent enough window and doesn't jeopardize the punctuality of the show. |

ReVolt on Sunday, Fallout ten days later on the Wednesday, then eleven days to the next ReVolt? The different names help distinguish what day the show is, and we all get plenty of time to RP? That's exactly the NGIW plan, and it was a brilliant one. It gives us 17 days out of 21 with an open RP window, compared to 12 out of 21 as things are now. Cards for ReVolt aren't going up until after Fallout, so that's Wednesday to Saturday each week. |
