I really enjoyed the show this week. I don't want to fault anyone because the shows are good every week but I felt last week's just didn't have much spark to it. I'm not sure what it was. Maybe it was just an off week for me when reading it. I felt like this show had so much going on in it and it felt like a real, unpredictable wrestling show that you would have seen back in the Attitude Era or something. Okay, maybe not unpredictable enough to be from the Attitude Era but whatever. The Greater Great was so much fun to be a part of. Ryan and Jo both wrote some incredible stuff in this segment. This reminded me why I was such a huge fan of Douglas Greater to begin with. Everything he brought to this segment was absolutely hilarious. I'm glad that Terri and Brittany are finally going to meet one-on-one and it's awesome that it'll be at ReVolt Against the Champions. You know, since the girls don't have a belt to compete for. *grumbles* I really liked how this segment furthered Brittany/Terri, Douglas/Roy, Roy/Brittany, and Terri/Roy all at the same time. I love when storylines get intertwined so much with all these different people and it's always great when one of those people is Jo because he's so willing to do just about anything. I've quickly learned that Ryan is the same way, so that's really awesome. It's nice to see Mike Harrison in FIW. I'm still picturing Kaz from the NGIW days, though. Gotta find a way to stop doing that. I was surprised to see Dern get so little offense despite being a jobber because Marc RPs him pretty damn good for a jobber. Either way, it's great to have Mike in FIW with us. The Summit segments were some good stuff. I'm liking that Mya is taking a more vocal role in the direction of the Summit. If she's going to eventually climb into the ring, she's really going to have to start causing trouble and I see she's doing just that. She is already striking me as the type of character people want to see get her ass kicked. I love segments that lead to more segments later in the show, like this one did. It's along the lines of what I was referencing about the show feeling more real and unpredictable. Mya siccs Quincy on Mad Dawg and he follows through and it's referenced in the match. It's that communication that makes all the difference in turning a show from good to great. Speaking of leading into things later in the night. I'm really glad Ryan was able to get that Roy/Brittany segment together with me. I felt it needed just a touch more to it following the Greater Great and prior to the Roy/Douglas match. Big thanks to Marc for including Kim at ringside for Bloodbath's match! I love when people remember to use her! I'm also glad to see Bloodbath winning. Adam is so good and I feel like I've sort of been letting him down lately with Kim. I'm not sure what it is, but I guess I feel like Bloodbath and Kim don't really have anything going on. It feels like they're just coasting following the thing with Ethan. I'll be glad when they start brewing some heat with someone. The Reign segments were funny. I especially liked the one where he was on Jack Manson's lap just signing stuff. I am ecstatic that Johnny and Mark won the Luck of the Draw tournament and now get to challenge for the Tag Team titles. I worry about facing House of M, but I'm still glad that at least I can say they won the tournament and are getting a Tag Team title opportunity. I've never stopped having fun RPing with Dan and it's great to not be feuding anymore. Instead of losing title opportunities to Dan's awesome RPs, I can lean on them for victories. ![]() Sad face that Krychek isn't putting his Grand Prix title on the line against Nathaniel Alexander. Grow a pair, Krychek! Momo needs to start wrestling now. She would be so awesome in a Hellcat Division. Hear that, management! The Hellcats need a title! Also, Roy vs. Douglas has been a great feud to follow and this was a great match to finally free Roy from Douglas. I didn't have any doubt that Roy would win (well, a tad doubt that this might go on a bit longer). Momo destroying Douglas was great to read but now I fear that Douglas Greater is going away. ![]() H@vok vs. Walker was a tricky one. I really didn't know how this was going to end. Part of me thought Walker had it because he's BFW and Dai is Dai. But Wight is Wight. Needless to say, I was going to be a bit surprised no matter who won. I'm glad to see H@vok getting some traction, though, and a victory over Billy Walker is worth bragging about. Totally awesome that Neo Carner and Nathaniel Alexander won their tag match. Something occurred to me. Neo's long hair is more attractive when I start seeing Seth Rollins for him. Weird but Rollins makes me think of Neo so now I'm picturing Rollins for Neo. Anyway! Match was great even if Kim didn't get involved... *Dai face* And I'm looking forward to Nathaniel vs. Krychek next week. I almost thought that Catherine was going to win the DC. I like the way that Death retained the title, though. It continues to build stuff without screwing Catherine too much and puts Death in an interesting spot. He can't really brag about this win... he can't be mad that he won but can he really be happy with how he won? I like the dramas. And it's always good to see Neo Rollins.

What a finish to Revolt gosh Neo Carner he's a sly one. Let me start off by saying another show up on time and a card up. Awesome! I really did enjoy seeing Reign on the show haven't seen William Reign since Quincy Wilson beat him up. I want to thank Tamarcus and Marc for all the help last week getting everything together for revolt. Really happy to see Brittany and Terri on the card for next week it should be an awesome match. I really did enjoy all the RP's up last week I read a bunch and they were pretty damn good especially the back and forth between Dan, Lita, Marc, and Tamarcus wow what an awesome battle it was a great match and it had to be difficult to judge. Now with all the being said I really need to address my match and my character. I'm disappointed and surprised by the result of my match this past week and the past few weeks. I really had blamed myself the past few weeks really attempting to step up my game but after putting up what I felt like was some really quality work I was still handed a lost and I'm dumbfounded I can't believe that after giving my best effort I lost and I'm beginning to question if Quincy should continue to be a character after the upcoming Anarchy PPV because if my best effort isn't enough what am I really doing here. The losses have really taken a toll on me and it brought me to seek feedback. The feedback was very hard on me but I respect you guys opinions I don't mind constructive criticism and tough love.. I was told to work on my grammar (I made a huge effort to make ym work a lot more grammatically correct) It was pointed out to me that Quincy "Flip Flops" I tried to stay away from that although in the past any of Quincy's philanthropic exercises were usually his way of exercising his demons getting the bad stuff out of himself you know like when drug dealers give away turkeys and shit at thanksgiving they don't stop selling drugs, but its sort of a way of saying sorry for polluting the community. It doesn't make Quincy any less of a heel he's just a human. The "race card" Quincy is African American I'm an African American and most African American's discuss race a lot. And we use the race card a lot. My friends discuss race all the time Quincy would be an inauthentic African American if he didn't play the race card. Nonetheless I really hope to try and take a lot of the feedback and using it constructively. I would love to work with anyone in the fed as I wrote to Steve in my PM it just needs to make sense I requested to work with some new people because there was a few newpeople who were face and I like to work Quincy against faces but I would love to work with anyone whose interested in working with me. Back to the match though and no disrespect to my opponants I'm jut perplexed by the loss and confused if i Still have a place inside this fed. I want to know what the board thinks. |

I hate this schedule so much......Fall asleep early....wake in the middle of the night....tired in the morning.....bleh.....
Bran I want you to know I was really pulling for you in this match. I think one of my biggest put offs was that you didn't even know who your opponent's were in the match. I don't think it's a Quincy problem. I think Bran needs to slow down and pay attention. It was just like calling Bostock...Bostick. This week it was details....important details. |

I was really pulling for Quincy this week too. I have a segment with him in my inbox and I planned and getting it together for ReVolt Against The Champions, I was gonna praise him on finally getting a win, but that's scrapped now But the segment will still happen Bran, I did mention you in my RP last week as a little nod that I remember ya! If you're feeling lost man, I'll try my best to fill you with a sense of purpose my man! You belong here! ![]() Gotta say, show was immense this week. Felt like we all put in a great effort, things keep getting better and better. I gotta say I had a BLAST this week RPing, I dunno, just a lot of good ideas in my head this week. Glad to see my efforts pulled off, because the end result makes me feel good. Glad Lita enjoyed it ^_^ Roy/Douglas has been my pet project for like the past two-three months and I've tried to make it entertaining as possible. It's been fun, but I think it's time for Douglas to move on to a different role in FIW. Gone? Not entirely. But as an active competitor for now? Yeah, I think he's gonna be hanging up those boots for now. I think I'll give him the proper farewell this week either in Roleplay or a segment on the show. Something to go out in a somber note ![]() As for Momo, I guess this is where I say, you have my permission to book her as a wrestler now. I wanted her to have a build up to her first words, and her monster trigger being pulled. If she can do that to Douglas, I don't see her having much trouble doing it to the Hellcat Division that we were told we'd be getting...<___< The whole reason I made up a Hellcat in the first place. You know, to win titles, try something new. ![]() I can see why the main event went the way it did, but I had a hankering Jo may have pulled out the win, I wouldn't have been totally surprised. He's a sneaky one, and when the sleeping giant awakens he unleashes a fury unlike anything seen! Catherine was on fire this week, hella! Good to see Neo make an appearance in the match, although...I think I'd like him to find more creative ways to interfere in matches. He's run in so many times now, it feels like he's rinsing and repeating the same formula over and over again. I dunno, I'm open to suggestions from anybody if they got creative ideas for such a thing, I'll compile a list of these suggestions and send them to Management. ^_^ |

I do want to get this in before I hit the hay:
As a roleplay judge, frankly, there's never been a time where I thought "You know, if Quincy JUST mentioned race in his roleplay, he would've won." And I don't think I'm overstepping my boundaries by saying I don't think any other roleplay judge has thought that as well. Playing the race card will not win you matches, it's that simple. |

Even writing the RPs I figured the matches would end off the way they did. *sigh* Sorry to Sid for the lack of involvement in the tag team scene there, but I think we've seen Blink up there too many times. Plus I wanted other things for her. Which...makes me wonder why she has yet another shot against Bloodbath for the UIC. I mean in character I guess it makes sense. Blink never got that match and pinned him in the tag match yet still...I dunno. Aside from the last one, which was rushed not because of the deadline but because I had to work and therefore had to still make time to get to work, I really tried my hardest with Catherine thinking this could be her time. But, as I said above, had the nagging thought at the back of my mind that something was going to happen and...it did. I can't say I'm upset because as Lita said this isn't a victory Death can truly brag about, but still when I came to Ryan with an idea for Catherine and Neo during the week and he told me he had no interest in the Dual Crown...yeah. So all in all kinda feeling tired, confused, and neutral about everything. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

Honestly, the only way the race card would feel appropriate is if you're doing a storyline with someone centered around the issue. And I don't see many people wanting to play that storyline because it becomes it puts the "opposer" in a bad spot. I'm just going to be brutally honest. Race is too much of a touchy issue. Quincy can talk about it all day long but at the end of the day nobody else can reference it for fear of looking racist and offending someone for talking against Quincy's stance. That makes 90% of what Quincy talks about useless in a RP war. It isolates Quincy from the rest of the roster because he's going on and on about something that everybody has to sit around and pretend like they're not hearing because responding to it is too difficult to navigate through what is appropriate and what isn't. None of us are here to offend anybody, especially those of us playing babyfaces. Basically, FIW is an incredibly tolerant sub-space in the world. The women are seen as just wrestlers like the boys. Mark Cannon's sexuality is just a part of his personal life that doesn't affect his ability in the ring. It's tough to portray these two groups of people as just an everyday thing in pro wrestling if the race issue is being made into a major deal. Because female competitors and homosexuals are a much bigger issue in the world of pro wrestling than race is. It looks silly that the women and homosexuals are treated as equals but the black man is supposedly being held down. I'm not telling you that Quincy can't reference that he's African American. I'm not even saying he can't deal with African American issues from time to time. What is being said is to scale way back on it. It doesn't need to be his main character trait unless you and someone else work out a storyline that's meant to focus on that where nobody is at risk for grossly offending someone. Besides, Quincy is too good of a heel to need to rely on the race card. You're more creative than that. |

If it makes you feel any better, BRan, one of my characters went a full year with only getting three wins. And that's just because her opponents no showed. I asked for feedback there, was told my Roxie-esque character wasn't "mean enough" as a face and when I explained in character, in an RP why she doesn't act that way...the RP was stricken from the record, I got a warning, and I lost that match. But at the same time I quite that fed that week. Moral is...it could always be worse. Oh wait...no, a smiley is good there I think.Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

But it makes sense for the character. And he can shut me down if I'm interpreting this wrong, but one of this defining traits is that he's been held down his entire life and has finally fought his way to a position of power. So he sees racism everywhere, and even brings that into promos as a strategy. I did the same with Cannon when he was a heel. He knows what he's doing is fucked up, so he's going to blame the homophobia of the world for the his bad behavior (and he'll probably do that again at some point). When Quincy plays the race card, he's justifying his own behavior as well as bringing race into arguments where they don't necessarily belong. It's a dick move and it makes sense because Quincy is dick. |

I appreciate everyones feedback especially it's important to know what people think about the character and how to refine him. The reason for the discussion of race it's one off the fundamental things I find other black people discussing weather it's the barbershop or meetings I go to but I'll have to strike a better balance then between being authentic and being racist. Big Thanks to Dan you're a big supporter always have been hell if Mark Cannon was a big supporter like this he'd be a made man. Jo the hell are the smores.... |

I generally agree with the board's sentiment. I think Quincy has become a PHENOMENAL heel from where you started which was...not good. You really took what me and T-Mac and others were trying to teach you to heart though. I think there's so much about Quincy that makes him a great heel (He's aggressive and violent, he's a cunning and cold hearted businessman, and he's completely arrogant and full of himself) that playing the race card I think cheapens the hard work you put into him. He can be proud of being black and maybe even feel like what he's doing is upholding and making a positive example for his race (even though he's not a positive example to anybody let alone his race). That would be a much more sensible and authentic way to play him. I think Lita's right though, the idea that women and homosexuals are treated equally in the world of wrestling which, let's face it, doesn't happen very often in the real world unfortunately, yet a black man is disrespected and mistreated seems silly. What I will say is this; Don't give up on him. I think Quincy is a needed member of the roster and I really like going up against you, personally, because we seem to work really well together. |

I say fuck it, play the race card and be sure to do it like a true heel would. And while you're at it, introduce a new character into the Summit who's a lawyer or some kind of activist who constantly waves Quincy's civil rights (aka special privileges because "he's black and the world owes him a living") around like Rusev with that Russian flag. This guy cooks up absurd excuses for Quincy's actions and behavior like he's tried of being held down. Tired of being made to feel powerless or inferior because of the color of his skin. Now is the time for Quincy Wilson to cast of his chains. Now is the time for Quincy Wilson to dominate! Because you can't hold a good black man down. Hell, I'd be willing to write the character for you! It sounds like fun! Anyways, it sucks that Skell wasn't around much. I was honestly looking forward to trading blows with him. Reading the match written last week against Mungrel gave me a new perspective on Bloodbath's attitude and I came up with the idea you're seeing played out. This is only the beginning of Bloodbath's refreshed confidence/arrogance. Calling out Kim, as he has been, is only the tip of the ice burg! And you guys know me... I like to tease with just the tip ![]() I made a dick joke because I'm cool like that. |

As intrigued as I am by your idea aren't you advising me to do the exact opposite of what the entire board wants... lmao and y'all say I'm a contrarian we definitely must discuss this lawyer gimmick. |

Final match was edited in awhile ago just forgot to reply and say so. Here is a bit of my thoughts on some of the matches from a judging perspective. Quincy Wilson vs Scott Knight vs Cody McGinnis - For me I thought Quincy could have easily taken this just as Knight could have. Like I said earlier though Quincy getting his opponents wrong was really the deciding factor for me and was also pointed out by the judges. I did think that you did very well this week with the exception of not knowing who both your opponents were. Which is why I had Quincy beat down Knight afterward and had interaction with Erik in the end. I figured all of this would keep Quincy relevant in this scene moving forward. Would give Knight reason for revenge against Quincy and Quincy reason to gun for Erik Holland. Mad Dawg & Shaun Wilson vs Johnny Amazing & Mark Cannon vs Blink & Nemesis - I had to ask for judging help on this one because I was torn between Dawg/Wilson & Amazing/Cannon. Both teams did very well and with Blink not really wanting to be involved I think it kind of sucked the momentum out of the third team. But hey if that's not where Jo wants her that is fine. Even after the judges I requested help from gave me their input this match could have easily gone either way. Deacon DEATH © vs Catherine - This is another one I came to judging and was like fuck....I didn't know which way to lean on it. Catherine was on fire and DEATH was well....DEATH. They both did really good work. I actually called on the help of my advising team on this match and even after they all judged I came up with no decisive answer. Which is why I went with DEATH retaining by Neo interference. Catherine has now been screwed and can target Neo and still pursue the DC and Neo remains involved looking for his 'guaranteed' rematch.
When I wrote Ethan vs McGrath for the PPV I was reminded that Blink was the referee because she was next in line for a title match against the winner. I was just trying to follow through with what was provided to me in the management switch over. Overall, I feel like I'm doing ok in some aspects of booking but there are a lot of floaters out there. Some of the feuds I'm crafting, some others are crafting, but all in all it's hard to just force people into programs and handler input and interaction would help tremendously. I would really like to see more people using the Drawing Board and was pleased when Tamarcus posted there looking for a feud. I'm still trying to iron out a match or two on the card as there are some people left off who deserve to be on it. But I really don't want to continue with the random booking too much because I'd like for the matches to make some sense. Also, I've started instituting a 2 no show rule. If you are booked 2 weeks and you no show without contacting or notifying me or posting in OOC about your absence. The third week you will not be booked. You've probably seen this with Jade, Royal, and Darian. If by the end of that third week I don't hear from the handler (whom I PM to find out their status) then their character(s) will be moved to the On the Shelf forum. |

Well, look how successful race gimmicks have been in the WWE. I mean, Rodney Mack was built up for months and months and fed to Goldberg. Did the same thing with Mark Henry when they teamed him up with Teddy Long. I think the problem is, it just doesn't settle well with audiences for the atmosphere. It's the similar problem 4R faces with being Nazis, except they're associating with somebody who committed genocide of one people, and then tons of others as well. Most people don't want to see race used in a negative light brought up, it's a very sensitive subject in this world, because our past and present is littered with it, and it's just something I don't see people wanting to see negativity continued to be spread ya know? Plus when you say management is holding you down, it's kinda like calling Steve and them a bunch of haters. As for the positive sides of race, I don't see any problems with that being used. Being proud of what you are and who you are is perfectly fine and is the type of message that should be displayed. I mean, it just leaves a better taste. I think if you switched out your negativity outlet from race to the fact Quincy is trying to be a "Wrestler" and then he realizes that's why he's not winning. He's trying to be a wrestler when Quincy Wilson obviously isn't a WRESTLER. He's a fighter! Just make it so Quincy is going to go legit hard on everybody, maybe throw a couple of stiff/deadlift moves into your move set. Let the world see the "Legit" Fighter, who's being held down because he's too "real." |

I think you should be careful going the "legit fighter" route because you can wind up in worked shoot territory quick, which can hurt the overall narrative of the show. Quincy saying "I'm real, I'm legitimate" doesn't make sense when you think "wait, I thought all of Fiw was real. What does Quincy mean he's more real?" Just something to consider. |

This is all making my head hurt. I think my stance on the race card is this. I don't mind seeing it used but for instance during the Ethan vs Quincy mini feud, I felt like you were beating a dead horse with it. You went to the race card too many times. Now I'm not one to shy away from challenging the race card because I'm not afraid of being called a racist because I know what I really am and what my stand points on it are. I just feel like there are so many different things that can be addressed in RP's other than race or inequality. |
