Very interesting show this week. Loved the Reign segments...so does that mean Cody's signed for the Dual Crown now? Congrats man! Was a little bummed Immaculate didn't put in any offense in his match. I knew I wasn't going to win with him and I wasn't really trying to win since it was Mike's return match. I RP'ed more or less just to introduce that he was stepping out of the enhancement talent ranks. But I was hoping he'd give him a little bit of a fight. No biggie though, hopefully next time he gets a little better showing. Tag Finals, I honestly had a feeling Amazing Cannon was winning it by the end. I tried putting my best foot out there but yeah I already knew Dan & Lita blew me out the damn water with their final promos. I did love how Mya was pushing Quincy to do something about Mad Dawg which led into the pre-match attack. Some really great storytelling in that exchange I think. About Quincy, I had to work overtime and I honestly phased out last week so I didn't look at everyone's RP's in a comparative basis so I can't really give an opinion who I think should have won. My only issue with the race card is how it makes the people look who are packing the seats and cheering when he's speaking at an event. I just always question why thousands of people would follow someone who does the underhanded and manipulative things that Quincy does for his own agenda. I just wouldn't see a lot of people going "Yeah he cheats on his fiance, does hard drugs, abuses and manipulates those close to him but just because he feels he's being held down because of the color of his skin, I see him as an inspirational leader to our people." It almost in a way puts them in a bit of a negative light that either they're just sheep blindly following him or that we would all just easily condone what he does. Using the race card as a heel move can work perfectly for Quincy if it's done with a bit of tact. Even with the things that he does to humanize him, I think if more emphasis would be put on that it's all just smoke and mirrors and it's all just a manipulation technique, then I think it would resonate more and would be easier to identify with him. It should be obvious that Quincy only does good things for the community because he finds ways to make it benefit himself. He brings in inner-city youths and tries to keep them off the street, but in actuality he's using them as free labor or even worse maybe even secretly having them retrieve and/or sell drugs. He builds a charity to raise money for the family of a cop on black shooting victim and it turns out he's really skimming a large percentage and putting it in his own pocket. It's okay to humanize him and make people understand what makes him tick but at the same time he has to still garner the right kind of heat so he's still hated as a heel. Also like it was said, the frequency of using the race card does hurt it in the effect that I think it almost waters itself down. It almost becomes "Oh there goes Quincy with the race issue again" when it should be "Oh shit, that came out of nowhere, how are they going to respond?" If you go to that hand to often your opponent is going to be ready for it and the reader is going to feel like it's just a repeat of the last week, just a different opponent. Whereas if you can use that card as a knockout punch instead of a jab, it's going to have a much better effect to the reader and also get your opponent to backpedal and scramble for a response. Anyways that's my piece. |

Yeah, just remembered. Bit perplexed by where Noon's accent came from as well. Is it just me or did anyone else almost picture Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade when reading that? Like seriously, go read it back in that voice he does in the movie. And if you've never seen Sling Blade then shame on you! :ph43r: |

Bran is a good guy in my book, I know he does his hardest to be the best he can. When I faced him with Neo, I was sweating bullets I was going to drop that title to him. I made a promise I'd be longest reigning and he made me pull out a lot of verbal A+ Bombs, and he threw ones just as big right back. Bran is a hell of a talent and he's part of the brother/sisterhood we all got here. I said sister because of Lita and Billy. I think the accent is way to distracting. Dai and Jo have mastered it because they keep the accent to certain words, you just go balls to the wall and throw a man with marbles in his mouth at me. Cody's after my DC shot too!? :o *readies to drop the light tube leg drop* As for Jo's statement on like page 1 about me not being interested in the DC, a plan of mine sorta fall apart, some parties aren't around and for it to have worked I needed star players, sadly it didn't. So DC scene is the only place for me otherwise I get lost in the shuffle >.> |

I completely agree my ability to write accents is non-existent. I've always had great things to say about Jo and Dai's ability to do it. Dai in particular just makes the Southern Drawl just so damn smooth and effortlessl ooking. |

Wow, this show definitely felt like more of an action packed nail biter. I thought with my match against Jo it could have gone either way. Jo really threw out some quality stuff last week that had me fumbling to match it. Honestly, I could have seen Catherine winning and going on to be the DC for a while to reinvigorate The Bad Girls and their popularity. I think from this point forward DEATH will have to take Catherine more seriously. I liked the competitiveness and challenge that came with defending the belts last week. And so it seems... The tag titles get defended this week! It's been interesting to see Steve handle the championships and what he wants to do to build up contenders. So far I'm liking it, in the past I seem to remember him having a very old-school and logical approach to the champions/challengers aspect of things. Granted, I'm going to give it my best once again in hopes of keeping up this streak of being a double champion. Thank you to all involved in the putting together and writing of the show! |

I kinda like it, honestly, it's more free-form. When we are creating storylines out of our interactions with one another or minor things that happen during matches I think it flows so so so much better. |

I've always been a supporter of making your own direction. You know your character better than we do. I know it's tough to do sometimes because some people are already tied up in other stuff, but that's why everybody should be paying attention to what's going on around them. You can mostly tell who's already got issues brewing with someone so if you decide to start something up with them, you're probably not going to be waiting in line for them to finish up what they're already dealing with before giving you their full attention. |

I just hate going into a PPV with a bunch of random matches because people didn't find their own stuff. I do my best to facilitate for championships but it is hard to book side feuds IMO because you never know if they will take off. |

May I ask what your booking method is? Is it fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants on everything or do you have some things in mind? I always preferred the Jim Cornette method of booking the next big show and then figuring out how to get there. |

Problem with the Cornette method here is the unpredictable nature. I can't say how many times I tried to lead into a certain match and then the "Unforseen Circumstance Fairy" would come calling and kick everything over and laugh at me. Damn fairy bastard...Doesn't help either that everyone doesn't always just form their own stories because free-form is the best way to go but if people aren't always trying to push their own stories you're going to have a few floaters. And the best thing to do is just try to pull the floaters into a direction with each other and hope it works out. Honestly though, if someone isn't liking the direction their character is going in, it's on them to do something about it. You've got way too many different personalities to contend with especially with the number of creative staff members (you think the WWE's main roster has like 25 writers to contend with their talent, we've got like four or five in our creative and our roster number is around the number they have for their non-jobbers) so even though you are show running there's no way you're going to be able to juggle and schedule nine to twelve different feuds and stories all at once. Trust me, I tried and we all know the results of that. |
