Hmm, well this was an interesting week of results. Often times I'm quick to admit when things were close or I thought a particular person was going to go over me, but in this instance I definitely didn't expect this outcome. It's become an odd trend over the years for FIW to strongly book a person on their way to winning the DC, but after they win it becomes an odd series of events as far as booking. I'd be interested to hear what people felt was better about Havok's RPs this week, because I'm not seeing it with the character. Is it really worth it to put someone over the champ when the probablity of them being gone in a few months is so high? That's the thought that crosses my mind when I see circumstances like this with upset wins and non-established characters going over. |

I think Wight just caught you, Kyle. Simple as. I think he really nailed the kind of character Havok needs to be. I noticed that you had dropped in the one Dark Knight reference, and it worked for you, but here's what Wight did really, really well. Not only did he reference a great poem, I felt that he is capturing the emotional essence of the Joker like I asked him to check out. He's a psychopath with a warped sense of humor. And, what's important, and why IMO he beat you, he captured the emotional essence of the business of the match. A buddy of mine, Jon Trosky, is a former wrestler and was in the industry for 14 years. Anybody who has Angry Wrestling Vet liked on Facebook? That's him. He has stressed "What is the business of the match" over and over and over wanting people to have that foremost in their mind when they wrestle. The business of the match here is that Havok has nothing to lose, and everything to gain. If he beats the Champ, then all eyes on him. If not, well, he's a rookie, he's just starting out. I don't feel you did that exceptionally well, here. I feel like DEATH was distracted. He was thinking more about losing the Tag Team titles, and he sort of just addressed Havok with 'yeah, well, im going to beat you anyway, so it doesn't matter.' It fell flat, to be fair, I didn't feel as much energy with DEATH as I did coming off Havok. |

I don't have much to add at this point, just wanted to give major props to everyone on creative for stepping up this week. I feel lik 3-4 months ago, under these circumstances, this would be a show that would be several days late and we might not even have a card for next week. But we have a great staff here who stepped up and I'm grateful for their efforts to keep things running smoothly. ![]() Also, Angry Wrestling Vet rocks. \m/ |

Good show, I was scratching my head over the H@vok win, not to say that H@vok didn't RP his heart out and do a damn good job this week, but I just feel like this is building towards a bigger clusterfuck at the PPV. Which is just strange, as I felt the tight knit four we had made complete sense, but now a potential 5th member it's like...who's going to get pinned next to make it 6? Because a Fatal Five Way has never worked, two people are always going to be double teaming or one guys gonna always be knocked out. I dunno, I tried to write DEATH looking strong because I felt as DC he should have at least come out looking like a force to be reckoned with, as last couple of weeks he's been knocked around a bit. Totally bummed Momo didn't get to do much this week, as I was really looking forward to see her go wild. Oh well, was also hoping Terri would get her come uppence at a later date, but I guess now shit's about to hit the fan with her. Course she has no real footage, so I dunno what is going to happen :o! I had fun writing segments with Steve and Lita this week, felt awesome. Gotta figure out loop holes for Neo or work this farting and it smells bad thing into his character. I think I get both sides to Deacon/Havok. In terms of who outdid who? I think Havok won out. But it's not like Kyle losing is like the Harlem Globetrotters just did the job to the Washington Generals here. Sure, Havok's new, but Wight's very good and there's no shame in losing to him, no matter where his characters are at on the card. I do get Kyle's point, though. And if it were me putting last week's card together, I don't think I would've booked the match. Or at least would've done a storyline or schmozz finish. I wouldn't have done it for two reasons - 1. I don't think the champ should wrestle midcard, non-title matches when he doesn't need to and 2. I just don't think that Monsters/Freaks/Crazies like Deacon, Nemesis, or Havok should wrestle every week because of overexposure (one of the reasons I think Havok won out over Deacon, IMO). Getting back to Havok winning out over Deac, at least what won me over was that, maybe it's beause Havok's a new toy but the more he talked, the more I wanted to hear him say. As the roleplay went on, I just had this feeling of "Okay, this is all going somewhere, I want to find out what happens next." And when Deacon replied, one of the first things he said was something like "You're like Rurik Krychek, in that you talk too much" and that felt sorta deflating. Sort of like a "Oh. This again?" feeling. Going back to my point about overexposure, I think when Deacon eventually drops the Dual Crown, it might be best to give him a break for a little bit or scale him back some and put him on the Rougarou schedule (... okay, he could probably wrestle a little more than Rougarou does :P) and just have Deacon booked when he needs to be. I mentioned earlier with Havok that the more he talked, the more I wanted to hear (or read or whatever). That was Deacon DEATH last year for me, that was Deacon DEATH 3-4 months ago for me, but right now I feel like Deacon DEATH is starting to get overexposed and a lot of his roleplays are starting to sound the same, the only differences are the names. Kyle, please don't take all this as a slight because I think the world of you and of your characters and I want Deacon to stick around as long as possible, I just wanted to help and throw my feedback in. |

Random thought: Who the heck is Sqweaktoy? I'd have to disagree, Will. DEATH spent a small portion of his time explaining the loss of the tag-titles, and addressing more his opponent, Havok. DEATH having vengeance as a reason for being into the match, and Havok into it because of the gain everything, lose nothing aspect. Although to be fair, anyone going up against the DC is going to have that going on because of a potential title shot. And DEATH didn't treat Havok as anything because he isn't at this point. He's a newcomer that's adopted another person's gimmick. However, with this being Havok's fourth match, I believe. From a booking perspective it doesn't make much sense to me. A count out or a DQ, maybe, but a nearly clean win over someone that couldn't be beat by Neo Carner or the entire roster? I don't know; it seems like a huge jump for someone just developing. And I wouldn't really say Wight nailed it out of the park as some sort of Joker, it came off more as a snarky, almost point out things in a less than subtle way to look better, but no actual... Character? Just randomness. Also, the presentation of the RPs and the coloring is more distracting and off putting than it is enhancing to the overall words being said. Then again, this is all subjective, and I know people are going to judge things differently. That could also be part of the problem, I feel like over the past few weeks I've been struggling to adapt with the change over and possibly new judges moving in with the new regime. I'm more of the opinion of allowing time for people to develop and allowing progression instead of catapulting people. Because in the past the same thing has happened and then not even two months down the line that character's gone, the win ultimately means nothing, and the momentum of the person they beat is reduced as well as the momentum that person gained by beating them when someone else could have. But I'll roll with it and think more about things I can do to re-invent DEATH with the surge of new characters on the roster. And I definitely listen to the feedback on DEATH. I can admit to feeling as if I've done a lot with him at this point and he's not as fresh, he's probably not as familiar to some people that haven't been around the entire time he has. To me the long sections of talking can definitely come off as rambling, and I know I've addressed that in the past. I think Havok had his points and so did DEATH, but my issue was more in how it was pulled off. And to some degree I think the champ should be protected. Prior to winning, I had considered taking a break with DEATH and I know now after I drop the DC I definitely will be. |

I like your intent, Jim, but limiting their role also causes the issue of deflating their build. Last week I asked for feedback on my roleplays and what I was doing that wasn't quite hitting the mark. This week I felt very satisfied with what I did almost as soon as it was posted, and I think it's because I had someone to work off of; a back and forth that had been absent in the weeks prior. Limiting a roleplayer's schedule due to the genre of their character denies them the opportunity to build such connections and rivalries. I could certainly easily submit a promo for the show to keep a character relevant, but that doesn't allow the same opportunity to build bonds (both positive and negative) in the organic way that roleplays do. Promos are by their very nature much more manufactured than your average roleplay, especially a back-and-forth with an opponent. You would be, in essence, limiting their opportunity to progress and grow. Which would, in turn, make the road to the top for any such character that much longer and more difficult to mount. I could, however, see why a handler might want to limit their character's activity. But it shouldn't be something forced upon them by management. I signed up to play, and unless I say otherwise or fail to deliver, I figure that should land me a match at least three of the four weeks in a month. Just my two cents. This will probably be the only post I make in this live beartrap of a feedback thread, so I will say that I am glad there was a show and I am glad it went up on time. That can be incredibly hard, and I'm really pleased to see you guys managed to bring it together so well. I like the new logos, too. ... are they new? If they're not new then I just feel dumb. |

They are new Wight. I was by no means hatin on you or anything. I know we've had our problems in the past, and don't take this as me jumping at an opportunity to hit ya over the head with a frying pan. I'm just more worried about the build up to the match I'm in. Guess you could say I like Neo am worried about my chances I mean Catherine, Mungrel AND H@vok? No way I'm walking out with the title again. I guess we should all just take a step back and just say it's a game. We win, we lose, we don't always get what we want. I mean, if we did, how would we appreciate it when something really good does happen to our characters? |

...Negaduck? Also are people pronouncing Rougarou with a silent or hard g? I'm going with hard because it makes the name sound funny and I like funny sound names. I don't like it when I'm being reminded that Stardust or Gaydust or whateverdust is a real thing. That is all on that subject. Sorry, Wight, interesting character and all, I just don't like the rep. Next thing you know they're both gonna be out wearing polka do...wait, don't tell me...IT'S ALREADY HAPPENED! As for the matches, things went as I had thought they would. Terri loses, although I was hoping, like Ryan, that she wouldn't get any kind of sudden comeuppance like that. Kinda gives very little going into the next match. Had a chance there for Momo to do a little something-something on her own but nope. Out the window. That and it would've given more for Terri to focus on than Brittany. Pet is still new, so please bear with her. I'm still developing her and such and it usually takes a few weeks until she gets something. It was fun working with Will there and I was gonna point out that Lita and Dai had the right idea working together...just they didn't get the right characters. ![]() I don't know if I like the idea of a basically two (really one) match to determine the new Hellcat champion. I'm glad the titles coming back but it does seem a little...there you go. Also, don't know why Catherine was out there. She has no interest in the belt at the moment and Blink...are you trying to get her killed? Anyway, just quick, random thoughts and such. I'm gonna have breakfast...supper...whatever. I'm gonna have food. --edit-- Another problem I had with the Hellcat title revival promo, after I've given it some thoughts, was how counter productive it was. It started off fine, not because it was a nice build for Blink and Catherine, but because it was empowering for the Hellcats. Then Neo came out and things went downhill. The fact that he was allowed to ramble on bringing down nearly everyone out there to the point of ordering camera movement without being interrupted...not to mention it having to be Jack to come out and save the day. Like I said; counter productive. Also, why was Neo so incessant on singling out Brittany when it was the perfect opportunity to perhaps carry things with the Dual Crown situation? He could've tried to compare the Dual Crown with the Hellcat title causing a stir from Catherine and in the mess Terri goes at Brittany and everything just becomes one big fight from there. Just my input as, again, anti-Jim here. Because I come with solutions to things I don't like. That's just for the new people. ![]() Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

Because Madison told all the girls "to the ring". She didn't say "I'm going to announce the return of the Hellcats title and I want you all at ringside".
Because things are about more than just the Dual Crown Championship. Seriously. It wasn't the perfect opportunity to focus on the Dual Crown Championship because the promo was about two things that WEREN'T the Dual Crown Championship: The Hellcats and the Neo/Jack feud. Neo came out to "bury" the Hellcats for the simple fact that Neo is the top heel in FIW. Despite Deacon Death being DC and a heel, Neo just won an award for being the biggest heel in the company. Therefore the concept of someone so universally hated in the company trying to bury the entire division immediately puts the fans on their side. It's Wrestling 101. Neo singling out Brittany is something that was cooked up between a number of people for something that will be happening in the near future. Jack made the save because he is the man in charge of the company and he is the reason Neo was out there in the first place, threatening Jack's wife. We weren't looking for it to break down into a ridiculous brawl that is entirely unnecessary. I appreciate you coming up with a solution to something you don't like, but at the end of the day there were reasons that it happened the way it did. Can I just say how much this feedback thread mostly sucks? It seems we only get a big batch of feedback when people want to bitch about things they didn't like. I don't really know how Marc did this for so long or why Steve does it now. You're welcome for writing two matches, picking up a third on show day, and posting everything so Steve could be with his daughters. Thanks to everyone who included something positive in their posts. It really helped my mood somewhat in this thread. You all rock too! ![]() I just want to add that I agree with Jim on the wordiness of Deacon Death. He does remind me a bit of Rurik Krychek in that "just shut up" kind of way. It's the reason I'm not really a huge fan of Death or Krychek despite loving both Kyle and Billy as writers and people. It's also the reason I don't really judge matches unless specifically asked to weigh in on them. I think I've only decided one Death match in the past (and I did choose him as the winner for said match, which he ended up winning) and I tried my hardest to be objective about the character despite him being more wordy and exclusive than I care for. It's just not my character type but that really has nothing to do with the decision this week as the only "booking" I did was the "Raine trapped in her locker room forcing Mercedes to wrestle alone" that I cleared with Dan and Bleak beforehand. I did not judge matches this week. |

Huge thank you to all the writers and those that stepped in to allow me to enjoy my personal life. I got to enjoy an amazing concert, spend time with my kids, watch some questionable Lucha Libre wrestling for Cinco de Mayo and drink more than I probably should have. Honestly and it feels weird saying this as it's just been 5 weeks that I've been running all this again, but it was nice to have somewhat of a break. Coming to this feedback thread really kind of just sucked the life out of me. I almost feel like with some things you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. The bottom line of Deacon DEATH vs H@VOK was this. Myself and the one other judge who voted both liked H@VOK's work better. Simple as that. Could I have protected the champion? Sure I could have. Could I have run with a storyline finish? Probably, but to me storyline finishes without handlers expressed consent seem taboo around FIW. Storyline or competition it could have given someone a reason to complain. Wight could have easily (and I don't think he would) turned around and said but wait I feel like I out RP'd, DEATH but he still won. Then I'd have to explain why I went with the storyline finish and then be called as to why he put so much effort into his RP's only for it to be storyline finish. For years FIW has been a competition based e-fed, something I've never really fully understood or agreed with. But on the same token have continued with because if I started doing things with storyline finish I feel some people would use that as an excuse to just not RP and then myself and writers put forth effort into a storyline and match for someone who couldn't be bothered to put forth effort because their match was storyline. So yeah Lita...I'm not so sure why Marc did it for so long and I question why I do it now somtimes. But I'm not perfect and this is just a game. Edit: FYI....The show after Anarchy in the UK, I will most likely need the assistance posting the show and writing like I did this week. My daughter's 5th grade camp is that week and I am one of the chaperones. |

Full feedback: * Completely understand why Storm ate the loss. I just had nothing for him. Im going to try next time he's booked and if I still have nothing Im just going to drop him. Hey, free win for Dai. * Really really pleased with how the feud between the Badd Breed and The Summit is developing. It's a simple feud (you interfere I interfere back and you also beat up my new tag team partner) but we've been doing really well. I love working with Bran and T-Mac so this will be really cool. The match at AiTUK for my next defense sounds very intriguing. Steve, I have a stip idea if you wouldn't mind PMing me. *Neo Carner is really doing well as THE heel in FIW. The Hellcats are the new hotness, and he comes out and takes a fat greasy shit on them. Exactly how to get the most heat as quickly as possible. Again, simple. We don't need to do really complicated meta-storylines to make them work. This is pro wrestling. *Speaking of Hellcats, really enjoyed the tag match. Lita pays attention! The commentary was perfect, I think Pet and Tormenta worked well (obviously, cuz they won) and I liked the finish. By the way; Winning with La Magistral is always the best way to win. Im excited for the battle royal at Anarchy.*YASS, Mad Dawg's a babyface! I have an excuse to cheer for him now! |

I don't really know much about what's going on in the feuds and whatnot but I thought the show posted was good given the fact that Steve mentioned it might be late. Props to all of the writers and everyone who put the show together. I enjoyed reading it. I liked the match Mercedes had for her debut, as she got put into something immediately and got a beatdown while still looking strong (heh). The Neo part didn't bother me and it just made me mad in a kayfabe sort of way. So good job in that regard, if anything his promo should fire up all the women (kayfabe). I'm glad to be back and hopefully can find my niche in writing Mercedes, it's pretty challenging currently because I'm not used to writing a female character and a face character but I'm enjoying the challenge. |

I do need to call into question one thing Kyle said ..
I don't think the champ, any champ for that matter should be protected. The champ is the champ for the reason that he's the best roleplayer on the board. Right after I became NGIW Champion, Pain beat me out of nowhere when I was in the middle of a great run with Erik, just coming hot off beating Dai, I kinda phoned it in against Pain and I paid for it. And unless I mis-remembered, that was the last time I lost a match until Dai took the title back from me. And I had the thing for a couple months. I like disqualification finishes if the challenger did enough to win but not to win the title, but no way do I feel comfortable with the champion being protected. I understand where you're coming from Kyle but that would set a really bad precedent in my mind. |

Sometimes it just feels good to bitch and feel a little better. That's not to say that I don't completely appreciate the effort that goes into producing the shows. We've had on time shows for several weeks straight now and that's awesome. I tend to voice what I don't like, but I know I also point out the positive things I do like, the changes that have gone into making the e-fed a better place. Ya gotta take the bad with the good. And in the past I know the fed has been strictly run in a competitive manner, but there's also been some degree of booking involved too. I'll have to get back in the mindset of anything happening again. I suppose I just have a different way of looking at things than others when it comes to booking/characters/champions. And I'd have to disagree with you again, Will, because to some degree you have to protect your top champion otherwise you risk demeaning the championship and the champion, plus NGIW is a different breed of beast as far as a company. I wouldn't say this extends to every champion on the roster, obviously, but you get the idea. Anyways, on to another week of rasslin. |

I don't know if this is how Marc did it but it's certainly how I did it when running a fed. Don't post a feedback thread expecting more positive than negative. Not every thread is going to be "We love you, thanks for all the effort. Mwah, mwah!" If people have grievances about something they see they air it out, as Kyle put it, to feel better. It's at times an outlet so people aren't stressed going into the next show. I mean when I posed the Bad Girls feedback thread I wasn't "Can't wait for the kudos!" No. People pointed out the various aspects I was getting wrong and I was fine with it. This is really no different. You wanna know the other secret? Know that this is just one feedback thread for one show out of how many? If someone were bored they could stack up the positive comments alongside the negative ones. In the long run...I think we've had far more positive than negative. So getting upset over people getting upset in a feedback thread is a little redundant. If you don't like the idea of people saying negative things about a show/RP/character then don't post a feedback thread. I'm sure people will find other means of venting their frustrations. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

I completely understand where you are coming from, Kyle. I hope that my own grumpiness didn't feel like it was directed specifically at you, because it really wasn't. That would have been completely hypocritical of me if it was considering that I pretty much reacted the exact same way when Mark Cannon lost the Fighting Spirit title to Erik Holland. I wasn't even in the match and I was annoyed! But yes, sometimes you just gotta bitch to get it off your chest and so you can move on. I appreciate that you had the decency to come back in here and acknowledge that. Also, I had just told someone that I didn't have a major problem with your feedback since you have a habit of giving feedback often and it's not always negative. There are others that I feel like only tend to point out what they didn't like. That grates on my nerves. This next part is not specific to Kyle: I do have to say that I appreciate the brutal honesty that comes from the majority of people on this board. Nothing can change if people don't voice their concerns or frustrations. I would just caution that there are ways to convey your honesty and your disappointments while also being complimentary towards those who routinely give up their time to get the shows up and in such higher quality than most e-feds produce these days. You don't always have to like their decisions but it's a real A-hole move to disregard their efforts. I would just ask everyone to not ignore the things they DID like. People like hearing positive stuff too, and it makes the negatives a heck of a lot easier to take. |

One thing that irks me about these feedbacks. Nobody comments on match quality, what they liked about their match or at least some creative criticism on how the writer could portray the character better. I mean, nobody has said anything like that at all in this feedback and it's kinda bothersome the last couple weeks nobody has given me that kind of feedback. I mean, it makes me feel like I wrote something and people appreciated it. Not saying, just saying. |

The night is dark and full of terrors... EDIT: Whoa...just noticed like ten other posts under the one I quoted. Not gonna lie, feedback thread is always a double-edged sword and I can't say how many times a show or decision would get blasted in a feedback thread and it can be downright discouraging. And I know there's take the good with the bed, but nine out of times all the good gets buried with the entire thread focusing on the bad. Only thing you can do is let it roll off your back. I really can't give an opinion on the decision for DEATH Vs. Havok as I didn't get a chance to read the RP's by comparison. I do believe in protecting a champion but to a point and honestly DEATH has been receiving a bit of protection in the weeks leading up. He didn't take a loss in the first match with Catherine even though you didn't RP for the week and if the DC match had been on PPV and not on regular TV, there's a good chance that could have went the other way. So I don't think this one-off loss should be thought of as that huge of a deal or a blow to DEATH's momentum. I don't think it should automatically throw Havok into the DC match at Anarchy, I think the match is crowded enough at 4 as it is. I do disagree with limiting DEATH, I personally think that hurts momentum being on limited appearances. I can't say how much I couldn't stand it when Clay would win the DC and then only compete once or twice through an entire PPV cycle. The champion is the face of the company for a reason so he should be featured on at least 80% of the shows. I would say that DEATH had been an unstoppable force for quite so long that he does feel complacent at times. With him losing the Tag Titles and this loss to Havok, it could be the shot in the arm you need to really hit a home run when you get to the PPV. Ride the story, let DEATH shows some anger and frustration, maybe even a little desperation, and I think you'll be golden. Definitely agree with Neo downing the Hellcats, I thought it was brilliant in gaining heat. I am curious as to why Jo is wanting Catherine not to be interested in the DC. I've probably been Catherine's biggest backer to being in the DC scene, she was just screwed out of the title a couple weeks ago...if anything she should be trying to move heaven and earth to get her shot. Yup Will Mad Dawg's been baby for a while now though, I just never put an app together. But come on you know you cheered for him anyway. how could you not cheer for someone who cracks the kind of sex jokes that would make Amy Schumer blush? Anyways I didn't finish the main event until about 11 so I only really got to skim through the matches so I only got glancing remarks. * Wow, even I was appalled with Carner's present. * Am I the only one who was getting completely thrown off in the Hellcats Tag match when Lovecraft was getting called Lilith? Anytime i see the name Lilith I think of the character Jo had last year. Still good match and interesting to see kim and Lovecraft pick up the win. * Reading the Havok/DEATH match I can definitely go back on my argument that DEATH was still protected like hell in the way that he lost. Protecting the champion isn't about making sure he doesn't lose, it's about bubble wrapping the hell out of him when he takes a loss and seeing as he ate two back to back finishers and stayed on his feet before catching a third finisher, there really isn't anything to complain about. Handler-wise at least...DEATH would have a lot to complain about but that's basically material that's gonna write itself for you. * Like I said I thought the Neo/Hellcat segment was gold. * Summit Vs. Badd Breedd is looking like it'll be an awesome feud. * Liked the nice ending to Mungrel/ Alexander. The Krychek/Alexander feud is shaping up nicely which is very cool to see. ,* And I believe it's a hard 'g' in Rougarou. They just named a ride after him at Cedar Point I think and that's how they say it on the commercial. * Had fun writing the Main Event and real excited for both the Bloodbath and the tag team feuds. Feels kind of strange Mad Dawg being the one cutoff by the heel but I'm really starting to have some fun with the babyface run. I feel like I'm starting to hit a stride with the anti-hero ass-kicked role.

Great show this week. I really enjoyed the whole thing. Big props to the writers involved and to Lita for not only writing for, but also posting the thing as well. ReVolt Dean Venchenzo Segment This segment was hilarious. It reminded me a lot of some of the backstage stories some of the wrestlers from WWE tell from way back in the day. Good stuff from Steve. Cody McGinnis & Mike Harrison vs Nemesis & Max Rowley This was a short, fun match to read. I like the bits with Cody and Mike sort of working against despite being tag partners. I'm glad I get to work with T this week because I always had a lot of fun working with him in NGIW. Combining that history together with what I've got going on for Nathaniel here in FIW is gonna be fun, I think. Neo Carner Segment Lol, this segment was hilarious. Take that Carner! Great piece showing Neo's reaction to the earlier segment with Venchenzo. "Neo: "MY ROLL OF ONES COVERED BY A TWENTY...I mean, roll of hundreds covered up by a twenty...Son of a bitch...What's that smel...Son of a bitch...it's on my hands! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!? PISS!? WHAT KIND OF SH...I SMELL SHIT! WHAT THE FUCK! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!?" Brilliant!Jack Manson/Butch Babineaux Segment(ish) Mystery and intrigue! Always a good thing to have on a wrestling show. Lol. Billy Walker vs Steve Storm This match was a nice, short read. I really liked it. This isn't so much a negative as much as it's just something that I can't help but notice. I've seen in most matches that the commentary isn't always consistent in terms of the formatting for it. One match will have only the names formatted in color and then the next will have the entire line of commentary formatted in color and stuff, then another match will have no formatting at all. At times, at least in my opinion, it makes it a bit tough to read. I can imagine it's a helluva task to add formatting in the first place, so by no means am I saying it absolutely should be there, but at the same time I think it might help for the sake of…cleanliness I guess? I dunno, that's the best word I could think of. Anyway, glad to see Billy Walker pick up the win here. *sees Nathaniel lost his match* A win for one of Coulter's Crew is a win for all, right? Eh? Eh? No? Oh, okay. Lol. Mercedes Blackwell & Raine Cannon vs Mistress Lovecraft & Kim Coulter It's great to see Bleak back here, despite my trying to show him to the "Exit" when he first came back. -_- Lol. I thought his RP's were good for them being introduction type RP's and I had fun writing the RP that combined Nathaniel's match and Kim's. I liked how Kim managed to turn things in her team's favor having her clients do some dirty work for her. Lol. Good stuff with this match. Deacon DEATH vs H@VOK The result of this match seems to have been a powder keg, but here are my thoughts on it. I agree with what Will said in that a champion shouldn't necessarily be protected for the exact reason that he pointed out; once the champ gets to that spot, it's easy to downshift and just start trying to coast along and not really put forth a lot of effort. Not saying Kyle did that by any means cause I definitely don't think he has. I'm a big fan of Deacon DEATH and I've really enjoyed the stuff Kyle's put forth with him. But to me, a champion should be put into challenges all the time and shouldn't be protected. To me, I feel protecting him sort of diminishes his/her efforts in getting there in the first place and doesn't do a lot for the story, which I think is the most important thing no matter who's in the match. As for the match, though, I really enjoyed it. I thought it was really well-written and a lot of fun to read. I'm not one of those against H@vok winning cause I really like what Wight does as an RP'er and I thought he did really well with H@vok this week. Awesome stuff from everybody all around! Fallout Hellcat Promo There was one time when Lita mentioned she liked when shows are opened with a promo/vignette and I gotta agree, especially in this case. Having Fallout open up with this promo was a good idea and I really liked everything that went on with it. The idea to have a battle royal for the Hellcat title is awesome too. Definitely looking forward to that. I definitely see why Neo had to be involved in this promo and I agree that it put a lot of heat on him "burying" the Hellcat division because that's what a heel does. Especially a monster heel like Neo. That said, "Madison: "That's enough, Neo! This has absolutely nothing to do with you, as most things don't since you lost the Dual Crown Championship. So, unless you want me to put you back in the ring with Mungrel so you can get your ass kicked again, I suggest you turn around and head right back where you came." Oooooh, she told him! Lol. Roy Harlowe & Momo Cassius vs & Shaun Wilson & Terri Golde This is more along the lines of what I was referring to as far as formatting. Setting things apart from one another. This was a great match to read; it was really fun and very well written. "CM: "I don't know what the problem is. There's nothing there for her to hurt." That line was hilarious to me. Definitely a fun match to read. Quincy Wilson vs Scott Knight This match got out of hand real quick. Lol. This was a great read. I like both Quincy and Knight so it was tough to pick who I wanted to win this match. Apparently, it didn't matter much cause the match got thrown out anyway. Lol. Overall, I really enjoyed this match and the storyline stuff that was tossed into it. Jack Manson/Anarchy in the UK FSC Announcement This was a cool segment to add the FSC match to it. It'll be interesting to see how Quincy fares against Badd Breed. That's an awesome tag team name, btw. Lol. Brittany & Bisenshi Sakura vs Tormenta & Pet This match was really well-written and a lot of fun to read. I think it was paced really well with the block of action and commentary in between. Sometimes in other matches (not necessarily matches from Lita, just in a general sense on some other matches) the commentary is needed but not always there. At least from what I've seen before. Sad that Brittany and Sakura didn't get the win here, but it was a great match nonetheless. Nathaniel Alexander vs Mungrel As I said earlier, I had fun with the RP I wrote with Lita for this match. I wanted to get some other RP's going, but the last couple weeks have been pretty damn hectic for me IRL and then I kinda got lost in the story for the Krychek/Nathaniel feud until toward the end. From my understanding, there were supposed to be some segments tying into that feud that ended up not getting on the show, but I think things will still be good to go from here forward. This match was great and I really liked the aftermath with Krychek showing up at ringside. Nathaniel will surely have something to say about that. Lol. Butch Babineaux Segment On the first line of dialogue, it felt like one of Mick Foley's "cheap pops" that he'd do in WWE. And knowing that Jim is a fan of Mick, I'd imagine that's the influence there? Could be wrong on that, though. Either way, I enjoyed this segment. Bloodbath McGrath & 4R vs Mad Dawg, Johnny Amazing & Mark Cannon Wow, that match was awesome! I definitely enjoyed reading the ME this week. Glad to see Bloodbath and 4R get the win in this one. This is another one that was really well-written and had good pacing to it as well. Awesome stuff with this match. |

I think I may be a bit late to addressing this further as it seems as though cooler heads are starting to prevail but I wanted to tackle a few more things I had on my mind and a few others have privately conveyed to me regarding this matter. Deacon Death vs Havok result: OK....So like I stated earlier, both myself and the one other person that judged had ruled in favor of Havok as the victor. When I was trying to think of a result for the match my intention was to put Havok over but at the same time "protect" DEATH as the Dual Crown, also while furthering the build to the Dual Crown championship and building to this weeks tag team match between the House of M vs Catherine & Mungrel. If I remember correctly because it seems as though these were the only results I didn't send with a save sent draft for my own record. I believe what I asked was that Abel and Gilgamesh would get involved with the match, thus bringing down Catherine and Mungrel to ward off Abel and Gilgamesh. Catherine see's DEATH with the sickle and enters hitting him with the Fuck You. This leads to Havok capitalizing on the outside interference, hitting his finisher and taking the pinfall. My logic behind this decision was to ensure Catherine was still in the picture (as she's been left off the cards recently in favor of any combination of Blink, Pet or Terri being booked for the Hellcat division or other reasons such as Blink's UIC shot (that I was under the impression was coming when I took over). This would also leave DEATH looking fairly strong as Havok did not beat him solely on his own accord but did hold his own with DEATH. In regards to DEATH looking strong, how could he not having not or two finisher but three finishers used on him? To me that shows how much of a threat others see him as and that he's such an evil SOB that those vying for his title would want to stop him from being that evil SOB and turn the tables on him so he 'gets his own'. With all of that I don't remember instructing Mungrel to hit his finisher on DEATH, I could be wrong the past couple weeks have been hell on me with work and honestly juggling; kids, work, personal life and the e-fed have been daunting the past couple weeks.
Next thing I want to approach are comments like this. These comments were not constructive and in fact could be very damaging. In my opinion saying something to the effect of a person being gone in a few months could just be that push out the door should the person become offended. Same thing goes when you are openly dismissive to a handlers character. You are entitled to your opinion but to say that a character has no character and is just random could be taken as offensive and comments like these in my view are examples of flame baiting. I'm not saying that is or was your intention in saying these things, Kyle. I'm merely trying to point out that is how these kinds of comments could be perceived. All in all we are all here to have fun, whether it be 3 days, 3 months, or 3 years. Maybe that win over the Dual Crown champion might be their deciding factor in staying. Knowing that those who make the decisions actually enjoy their work.
I was actually suggested an interesting idea regarding people not know what was going on in others feuds from Wight's PM feedback and I hope he doesn't mind me quoting what he said so I can convey it as he intended it.
I think this is a great idea as it could create interest in other peoples feuds by giving a summary as to where it sits as it progresses. Also for me it would be a great point of reference as I even find it hard to keep up with all the different feuds going on at once. I try to keep notes but a lot of it gets stuck in my head and often is overlooked as I deal with day to day life. I feel like there is more I wanted to say or address but the kids just got home and I'm going to post this now before something happens and I lose it.... OH! I remember.....another private note was in regards to the lack of ref's assigned to matches. I notice they are there this week and thank you for that. I had been leaving them off with intent of revamping the staff fairly early on in me taking over. Every week I tell myself I'm going to create new staff; including replacements of referees and interviewers but then just sit there and stare at the screen. This actually got me thinking and thought maybe some of you might have ideas and would want to create a staff member. So here is your chance to contribute to the FIW staff. I will make a separate post with the specifics I'm looking for and templates for the apps. Edit: ONE MORE THING.....H@VOK vs Havok - Just something small that Wight has requested when writing Havok. H@VOK is the stylized version of his name and should be used on logos and such. Where as when referring to him in a match, RP or segment it should be Havok. |
