I can't say I'm happy about the outcome to that match, but it was very well written. Sid's a great match writer and has a very good grasp of Havok. Adam's a talented writer and I kind of though my number was up when I read that RP. I would be less upset were it not so close to the deadline that I didn't have a chance to respond. But, whatever. Shit happens, I guess.

I had this weird feeling that I should send management instructions on something to tease if Havok ever got stripped at all. Kind of wish I had, given the match. Nothing I can't make up in my own time, I suppose.

I'd just like to add that if Adam were a habitual Deadline Bomber then the RP so close to the deadline might have made a difference. Sometimes last minute bombs are unavoidable with adult life constantly rearing it's ugly head. I get your frustration Wight and just wanted to share with you my thoughts on it.

Forgot to mention...Thanks to all that wrote and special thanks to Andy. Guy hasn't even been booked yet and he's writing for us. I like this guys style! :P

It was, to be fair, a little bit of a rough week for me. Don't feel like I was at my best, especially with Tormenta. But I feel like I'm gonna be back in form this upcoming week.

The outcome of this week's match really honestly gives me a few ideas, so maybe it's a good thing.

The show was freaking awesome, loved the promo between Cody and Nemesis and the only problem I had was how much more of a jerk Cody was this week. It seemed like he couldn't care less if he got his revenge against Nathaniel and the fact that he basically became a heel for a portion of the match. Don't get me wrong though, I loved the match and everything else that came with it.

PS. Cody is now teh "King of dropkicks" lol.

PSS. Yes I know i'm a jerk for only reading my match first .-.

Throw my hat in the frustrated ring, I thought I had Mad Dawg this week. I wrote a lot of good work this week, and I thought I had him on some points. Guess the short posts I made outside of that topic didn't win me any brownie points.

Good working with Mad Dawg though, felt like it was a big time match for a small show. Next time! NEXT TIME!

Another great show this week and I've gotta say you've been doing an awesome job holding down the fort since taking the reigns. I think every show's been 100% on time so far and the ship's run a lot smoother IMHO. I just wish I had the sort of organizational skills you had with putting things together, I may have had a bit more success instead of every week turning into a virtual clusterfuck. Also great job by the writers as of late, despite short results the quality has become very top notch.

Krychek/Nathaniel Confrontation - Nice exchange between the two and Nathaniel kicked a little ass before breaking out. I'm definitely enjoying this feud so far.

Summit Vs. Badd Breed - Tough break for Badd Breed but cool seeing the Wilsons picking up a victory this week.

Amazing Vs. Wolff - Very exciting match, I wasn't quite sure who was going to walk out with the win but congrats to Lita for Johnny picking up the win. I'm having a bit of fun so far with this feud so taking the loss was worth it. Not gonna lie that it felt just plain weird allowing Johann to say a certain word, was conflicted as all hell. But if I'm going to run a character I'm not going to half-ass it but still felt all sorts of wrong like I've got dead ancestors shaking their heads at me. My only critique on the match would be Chip being pretty pro-4R during the match. Even though Chip generally sides with the heels, 4R is definitely a group that him and Hitch share a disdain for.

Gray/Manson - Poor Darian, doesn't look too good for the guy getting thrown into an impromptu match. Has that ever worked out for anyone ordered to go out?

Harrison Vs. Nemesis - The Nemesis rolls on. Would've liked to see more offense from Harrison but I'm not sure if he RP'ed or not so that may have played a part in the squash. Nemesis Vs. Cody is definitely something to look forward to.

Darian Vs. Rougarou - Well I was right, but luckily for him he got saved from the Butch DDT. Random Task looking like they're trying to make a bit of an impact.

Havok Vs. McGrath - Interesting match but the Havok hot streak falls short against the UIC this week.

l33t - Krychek's on the prowl. Love how it's continuing the events from earlier, interested to see how this one goes by the end of the night.

5 on 5 Hellcats - The Plague Doctor was an interesting entrant. Good match through out with plenty of action. Not a huge surprise to see Brittany coming out on top either.

Krychek/Nathaniel conclusion - Pretty cool seeing this switch up the card. Very entertaining end and somehow Alexander made the escape

Rowley Vs. McGinnis - Good match but a bit confused by McGinnis getting booed and Rowley getting cheered.

Cannon Vs. Hoffman - Another great match and I won't lie that I was actually surprised Hoffman got the win. Loved the dirty tactics to pick up the win and the aftermath was just brutal.

Carner Vs. Mad Dawg - If I was surprised about the match before, I was utterly shocked at the result of this one. When Kim came out talking trash and distracting Mad Dawg I thought for sure Neo had it, so it was a huge surprise when he turned things around. Was hella fun working opposite Seph and can't wait until the next time Mad Dawg faces off with the King Joffrey of FIW. ;)

HoM Vs. Entertaining Rant - Interesting to see Mungrel and Catherine on the same team and a shame they came up short. Good to see DEATH getting back on track and gaining some momentum back before the PPV.

Alrighty, match stuff first and then me so people can skip the finale. :)

Kinda surprised to see Pet eliminated before a no show. I mean I get why Pet was eliminated so early, but she at least showed she was active in the company. Oh well. Her stint was still fun and it was nice to see a continuation of her efforts with Tormenta. She'll almost have to learn Spanish soon. What's that? Google translate? She knows Spanish now. :P

I can't really say much for Terri's performance. Not that I hated it, she got in an elimination, but I don't know. Sorries.

Main event was nice too. Didn't expect Catherine and Mungrel to work as a semi cohesive team. Although if it weren't the for backbreaking chokeslam...yeah, Catherine would've just left Mungrel after something like that. Hell, she probably would've joined in. So Deacon had his chance at getting a Dead Girl (for a night) buuuuuuuuut that dummy Gilgy blew it.

Okay, me stuff so...skip ahead if you want.

Performance wise...I wasn't too pleased with my efforts last week. I threw up a few things at the start of the week hoping to take it easy with a few back and forths (thanks to those who replied, BTW. :) ). I was gonna play some catchup Saturday but I took an extra shift that promised overtime pay since I was already at my max limit of hours last week. The coming pay will be good (very good since vaca pay is tucked in there as well. :P ) but it left me tired Sunday. I wanted to write something for Terri, even just a response in her "team meeting" but I couldn't get the effort or the mind working to really get past the opening sentence. So...yeah, sorries there.

I kinda have an idea what I want to do with Pet but I don't know if people will be willing to accept it or not. Kinda tip toeing around what she is now, hoping not to offend people and such while at the same time keep her in a wrestling mindset. I'll figure something out. :)

Party on,
Joe.

Life did happen during the last cycle. If people don't know, I'm a basic training instructor for the Canadian military, and we started the indoc routine for an upcoming course. That soaks up a lot of my hours. I try not to bomb deadlines, and I'm sorry that my doing so last week has left a sour taste in Wight's mouth. My most sincere and honest intent was simply not to no-show because I thought Wight had gold dripping from both of his RP's and also thought there was little I could do to catch him in any way, shape, or form. Wight's the man as far as I'm concerned, and though I scratch my head over my victory I'll still take it. It's probably the last one I'll see against the Paul Heyman of E-feds!

Psh. Yeah, I know you never meant any malice. But it's like... when you're playing chess with someone and you see them move everything into position so that no matter what you do next turn, it's fucking checkmate.

And then I had to wait two days to get the confirmation that it was indeed, checkmate.

Magnificent bastard.

Whatever. I'm over it. You're too good of a dude and Steve's too good of a GM for me to stay mad. <3

Jo I am very sorry for this. I had sent the results to Lita early in the morning on Monday but found out later that I in fact had not sent them to her. Normally I have a saved copy of the results but for some reason I didn't do that this time. In an effort to get her the results still early enough for her to early enough I just tried going off memory and flubbed on Pet and Sakura's eliminations. Sakura was intended to get eliminated first but....yeah...well....I'm an idiot.

I will leave full show feedback soon. Just wanted to say the whole cheer/boo mix up is TOTALLY on me. I knew damn well who was heel and who was face, but when I was writing I got my lines crossed after I read that Rowley refuses to cheat. And hence that happened. MY BAD! Won't happen again. My apologies :(

I was an unfortunate victim of a hellish week as well. I ended up having to move this past Saturday with mother's day following. I intended on doing more than 1 RP but was unable because of how hectic everything was. Given the fact that I only did 1 RP I was still happy about the outcome of how Mercedes was booked in her match and it gives me more to build from. Lita did an outstanding job on the match. The show was good all around this week. I'll try to start giving more detailed feedback soon.

Honestly, my mind's a bit distracted this week and I'm glad none of my characters are on the card. I had a good friend die recently, attended his funeral today and I'm still trying to process it all. So you'll have to excuse me if my feedback is a bit brief.

It seemed like now more than ever there was a lot going on within both shows and things only seem to be getting more fleshed out, more developed with several feuds and angles and relationships progressing. I tried out a different style this week in regards to my RPing, by shortening the talking parts and making the overall length less with more detail. It seemed to work and looking back I can see me using this plenty when DEATH/GEIST first came about. Sometimes it feels like more is more, but less can be more as well. I'm not sure if my one RP this week warranted a win if it weren't for Mun's late RP post. However, with this win and the aftermath DEATH looks like gold again before the challenge ahead at the PPV.

The match itself was well written and I especially liked this bit:

Nathaniel/Krychek Opening Segment
I do love when shows start with segments every now and again so this was cool to see. I love reading Nathaniel when he's being a prick. So... you know, every time he's talking.

The Summit vs. Badd Breed
Sorries to Will and Knight, but I'm glad Quincy and Shaun won. I love those two so much and I really love seeing them victorious. Also, you know, I'm in the Summit. Lol. Sid always writes good matches that are compact but still gives you enough to imagine a GOOD match.

Johnny Amazing vs. Johann Wolff
I am stunned that Johnny won this week. Marc is doing awesome with 4R since he stepped down as GM and started working them as a legit team. I was surprised by where Johann started to take things in his promos, but I figured what the hey! If Marc is comfortable going there, then we're going to go there. Like he said, it only hurts his characters if he goes soft with it so I'll do my best to no offend anyone and keep up. The whole thing did help me explore more back story on Johnny (and Brittany) so that was awesome.

Nemesis vs. Mike Harrison
I was surprised by the ending of this match. You don't often see that three arm raise finish. It's usually a tease in matches. I like that it ended that way because it makes that tease actually a legit tease in other matches. Great stuff. The post-match segment was incredible. I loved seeing Cody march out there and take what he wanted. This is the attitude Cody was capable of back in NGIW and I like seeing him getting more aggressive.

Unsanctioned Match
This was bittersweet. It was awesome to see and Jim wrote an incredible match/segment, but I'm sad the whole thing with Darian Gray kind of... fizzled out. Whatever happened to the handler? Does anyone know? He was good. Anyway! The Random Task Inc. stuff was freakin' sweet! I loved seeing Lucas back and dying to wreck stuff even with a hand cast and his shoulder taped up.

H@VOK vs. Bloodbath McGrath
I still feel like I don't really know Havok, but that's something Wight is aware of with the character. We've discussed it somewhat over the course of Havok's brief time here in FIW. I feel like that may have been the reason Havok didn't have enough to win this match against Bloodbath, especially when Adam laid down that incredible RP. Still, the match was written great and both characters looked awesome. I loved the apron action.

5-on-5 Hellcats Elimination Match
I had so much fun writing this match. I'm really happy with the collection of girls we've accumulated for this Hellcat Division. It's been awesome to get Kim worked in with actual competition again and I love the rivalry building between her and Mercedes. I love the character of Mercedes and her in-ring style is great for writing an actual match with. Tormenta is awesome in these kind of crazy situations as her style allows a lot of fast paced bursts. Momo fills the monster hellcat role nicely. Pet's inexperience and lack of wrestling ability really sets her apart for some great moments in the matches. And I think Lilith Lovecraft is already a star. Her time with Scott Knight really helped establish her and I love how dominant I've been able to write her thanks to Knight's great RPs with her. All these girls are incredible additions to the girls we've already had competing and I can't wait to see how things unfold once the belt is brought into the equation.

I was stunned when Steve gave me the results and Brittany was the sole survivor. I've been having so much fun just RPing Brittany that it doesn't even feel like competitive writing. And I love that. I know people here seem to prefer competitive writing and having the best written pieces get victories, but I just LOVE writing characters and having stories unfold. So, I'm really glad that this division is feeling like a fun collection of characters telling stories. I was just as stunned to see Kim last as long as she did. As I said above, I am having so much fun writing her as a competitor again and getting to have her being sneaky as hell in her matches to cover up the fact she's got limited wrestling ability.

The Great Escape Segment
This turned out much better than I was expecting, honestly. Some good fun to re-assert the unpredictability of a live event. I love stuff like this.

Cody McGinnis vs. Maxime Rowley
Action wise, this match was perfect. I loved it. It reminded me a lot of Sid's matches where there's good action and it's compact enough that you don't get the urge to skim because you don't have the time for the entire thing. Lol. The confusion over who was face and who was heel is understandable considering Andy hasn't even been booked up to this point. You'll get that all sorted the longer you're around and start to learn the characters better. Thanks for stepping up and helping out. We appreciate it.

Mark Cannon vs. Gunther Hoffman
I think I was more surprised by Mark's loss than I was Johnny's win. I kind of saw it going reverse. At first I was a little upset that Johnny didn't come out to keep an eye on Mark from the get-go and instead made a save after 4R attacked Mark, since Johnny mentioned that he was expecting that... but considering the story Dan and I have been telling with Mark and Johnny, I think it adds so much more that Johnny was late.

Mad Dawg vs. Neo Carner
This match sucks. I am sorry. I'm not good at writing men's matches. If they're fast-paced wrestlers then I can usually manage something, but Mad Dawg and Carner aren't my style of writing. I apologize. I tried to spice it up some with Kim coming out and distracting from how badly I write these kinds of wrestlers but... yeah. Sorries.

House of M vs. Catherine and Mungrel
I'm glad to see DEATH get the victory and re-cement himself as the top dog around here. However, personally, I was pulling for Mungrel because he's pretty. Sorry. I gotta be honest. I love attractive characters and this isn't a surprise to anyone... or shouldn't be. :D
