Cody vs. Shaun
I'm sad to see Shaun lose but happy to see Cody win. I really would have loved if both guys had been able to really go for this match, but it appears both likely had some real life get in the way judging by the last minute RPs. Sid wrote them a good match, though.

Pet Segment
Glad Katalina called her out for being an annoying emo person because it was really going there. Lol.

Helena vs. Pet
I had so much fun writing this! Wow. I kind of regretted taking it after The Other Steve gave it to me, but I really pumped this match out in like 15-20 minutes at work this morning. I was so inspired and I love love love Helena Handbasket. This is a character I actually hated upon original submission just by reading the application (sorries Adam!) but she has evolved into such a fantastic character that I am anxious to see more. Adam, I need to hit you up about this coming week's show! I hope I still wrote Pet well enough for Jo. I wanted to have her start learning a couple simple moves here and there that aren't just punching people. I figure if Mercedes is training her, she should start picking up a couple things but still make mistakes so that makes her unique in the ring and tons of fun to write. I also hope that Adam was cool with me having Helena go at Brittany the way she did afterwards. I am so intrigued by a Brittany/Helena feud.

Silas vs. Cage
Frowny face that Jimmy has left us again. I'm going to miss him. Cage gets himself another big win and Seph still made Silas look amazing.

Mungrel vs. Quincy
A solid match between these two. Sid did a great job making Quincy look fantastic in it as he should. I really liked the steam that Bran was picking up this week in his RPs. And coming off a great victory against Holland last week (that was last week, right?) I feel like he can just keep going despite this loss. Quincy is starting to feel like a major player again and I like that.

Colt vs. Gray
Still super glad to have Gray back. He was one of my favorite characters and I hated that he disappeared on us. I'm not surprised that he won this week because his stuff was on par with what entertains me about Gray. Colt... it was well written but I found him slightly boring. Sorry. Gotta be honest.

Steel vs. H@VOK
I am so glad to see Steel win for a number of reasons. First, he stays alive in the series and I would hate for it to end in any way that damages either character. Second, Jimmy Steel is one of Kim's clients so I have a personal interest in his success. And third, I'm really liking how Marc is climbing the ladder with this character. It's a great story seeing a once enhancement talent becoming a legit player.

Jack & Madison Segment
I'm glad Steve asked me to do a segment between them. I like having these characters actually interact with one another and it feels like it's been forever since they've done anything.

Johnny vs. Rowley
It was awesome to see Johnny get a lot of lesser used moves in here as well as the Blank Shot taunt done. And yay! Johnny gets another win!

Nemesis vs. Nathaniel
I always say that Nathaniel is at his best when he's a sneaky bastard and this match definitely did a great job of making Nathaniel look amazing while protecting Nemesis.

Mixed Tag Match
I always hate seeing Mercedes lose but Terri was certainly due. It was only a matter of time before she reasserted her dominance. I like that Nathaniel played a big part in costing Eversol his match and then the two came to blows. I am loving the Nathaniel/Eversol rivalry and am very happy to see it having a big presence on the shows.

I was really, really happy with how Silas/Cage turned out. I thought the Complete Shot into the Koji Clutch was a nice touch and if/when Rougarou comes back that just might work into his regular moveset. Then when Cage rolled Silas up in a Small package, my heart jumped into my throat because I thought that was going to be the finish. Then the finishing sequence of Cage slipping out of the Brainbuster and connecting with the Murder Rack was written well too. And then the post match happenings - Ryan PM'ed me and pitched that, and I loved it and I thought that was also written well. Again, overall I'm very happy with how this turned out and hopefully someday down the road Rougarou and Cage can cross paths, whether they're locking horns or coming together against a common enemy. Thanks again to Ryan for picking this match up and pitching for Cage and Silas to happen. Seph is clearly the man around here with Neo, but I'm really excited about Cage's prospects as well and I think he'll settle nicely into Rougarou's old spot of "the big bad you don't want to mess with." There isn't anyone else here I'd rather go out on my back to. Thank you Ryan.

Anyway, if enough people are interested, I was thinking about posting a 'thread of secrets' giving the full backstories for the Bergerons and Anastasia, and throwing out a lot of ideas that I had but unfortunately just never came into fruition. If anyone's curious, just say so here or in my PM box and maybe in a week or 2 I'll have a thread going.

If I'm being honest, I'm a little torn for the week. Pet losing to Helena kinda sucks but then Terri and Sadovsky beating Mercedes and Stephen was a surprise I didn't expect. So I don't know how to feel about the results.

The actual matches were good. Pet is still learning and Lita shows that off nicely. Like I said before, I enjoy it when Lita writes Pet's matches because she's got the flow going of how much she's improving and such. The added bonus of Brittany being out there I figured was more for Helena's benefit but it was nice to see her cheering Pet on. Even if Pet wasn't quite doing so herself a few weeks prior. Would've been funny if Chip had mentioned the irony there. lol

About the only problem I noticed with the main event was the absence of Honey and Samantha. They're not just there as cheating tools, but there because Terri is paranoid over being attacked from behind again. That and Eversol not screaming when a 300+ pounder was flying in the air at him. :P Still, in the end, a good match with a surprising end even to me. :)

I noticed a coding error in the promo and feel shamed by it. To be honest I hadn't noticed Pet turning emo there until I was writing the promo and...yeah, it felt kinda dumb for Pet to be that way so Kat snapped the sense into her. She's her Alfred, after all. Well...sort of. If Alfred didn't care how banged up Batman got during the night or by whom.

Party on,
Joe.

Yeah, that was definitely something I messed up on. It wasn't until after I had already submitted the match that I remembered I should've included them there. So I apologize for the oversight.

In the future I'll always try to consult with you if I have one of Terri's matches or feel free to consult with me as well.

Okay, I'm going to try to leave detailed feedback from now on, or at least SOME feedback on each match/segment. I feel it's only fair to the writers and so they know that I am reading the show.

Cody vs. Shaun Wilson

Makes sense that the results were as short as they were since there were no RPs. I'm sure they were busy this week. As for the match itself, it's cool to see Cody get back on track in the win column but I also like Shaun's character a lot. In my RP's I compared Shaun so much to Eversol cause they are a ton a like so I hope I can see the Shaun character really start taking off soon.

Pet Segment

I actually really felt bad for Pet during the segment but I liked that. It gave me a good amount of stuff to use this week regarding Mercedes so I liked the segment. Good job Jo.

Helena vs. Pet

I like how Lita is trying to build more feuds in the Hellcat divison and this match did a good job in beginning to showcase Pet so that the training she's receiving from Mercedes is starting to pay off in the ring. Now that Helena has begun to go after Mercedes too, it gives a stronger bond to the Brittany/Pet/Mercedes camp. I'm glad to see the Hellcat division growing more and more as everyone is becoming comfortable with their characters.

Silas vs. Cage

This match was really fun to read. I like how it built up Cage, who is a really cool character and gave a cool send off to Silas. The part about the bayou fire and limestone was a really nice touch. Great job to Seph on the match. It sucks to that Jim is leaving us for now. I hope you'll come back as soon as you can.

4R segment
I like the fact that both members are having issues without Veronika but the arrival of Mr. Burke is super intriguing. I really hate 4R as a fan, they're heels I absolutely want to see destroyed. So that's a good thing. Nice job, Marc.

Mungrel vs. Quincy Wilson
The match was solid in putting both characters over and I'd like to say that I really enjoyed the RP's by both characters this week. But I really like the RP Bran did. I could actually see that type of motivational speech happening and I thought it was a strong one where I could actually see Quincy getting the win this week. I also really liked the little Gorilla Monsoon line that Sid gave to Hitchen this week.

Colt vs Gray
Solid win for Gray and I love that character. Every RP is really good and I can't wait to see what else is in store for him down the line. I think Colt can still rebound, he just needs to get his feet wet a little more but the character can be really good. Fuckin' Nate with the Family Guy reference. I think he added it in there the same day he used it on me too. Ass. <_<

Steel vs H@vok
It's cool that Jimmy picked up the victory this week. I really wanna see the series tied to "force a game 7", so to speak. I liked the lumberjacks just beating the hell out of one another and I'm really looking forward to the death match next week.

Jack and Madison segment
It's really cool seeing both characters interact like that and nice to see Madison showing legit concern and fear over Jack even contemplating getting into the ring. I can completely see this actual scenario play out in real life so good job to Lita and Steve for the segment.

Johnny vs Rowley
Nate did a great job on this match and it was awesome seeing Johnny get another win. Big fan of the character.

Nemesis vs Nathaniel
Well Sid definitely did a good job putting Nathaniel over as a complete asshole. I like that Nathaniel got the win by using Kim's title. Almost like a direct diss to Eversol who helped Kim retain a week before. That was a nice little detail I enjoyed.

Mixed Tag
I was a little nervous about writing a main event but hope that I was able to give each competitor equal time to shine and really hope that the match itself wasn't too long. I like that Mercedes lost and now gets to feel like her fears were just and believe Eversol had her set up and have her hatred of Kim grow even more, since she can put the pieces together that she was behind the whole thing.

I definitely like the fact that Eversol is now being questioned by every tag partner that he's had for the fact that he aligned himself with Kim and now he's lost two matches in a row thanks to Nathaniel. I wanted to have Eversol and Nathaniel come to blows again to really intensify their rivalry. I talked with Nate and he preferred that the two remain a little more equal even though Nathaniel has gotten the upper hand on Eversol lately so I appreciate that.

It honestly warms my heart to see this much feedback within the first 24 hours of the show. Usually I gotta wait till the end of the week to hear anything good about my matches and the overwhelming positive response is great, thanks a lot.

Gotta say, my match is basically a tribute to The Rougarou and how much a victory over him means to me. I wanted to make sure it meant something and didn't feel like another match on another ReVolt on another July. I wanted to cement it as a passing of the torch, because that's basically how I felt when Jim came to me with his ideas and when the word was given. Jim's the old monster and I'm the new.

In case nobody can tell, Cage Murdock is actually what I want out of a monster and Momo is what I do to have fun with a monster. Sure, both characters are a little comical, but I do that to present them as more baby face. Course Cage's alignment can go anywhere as he's practically a bounty hunter for hire *cough cough*

As for what I liked about the show.

Darian vs Colt was a solid affair, well written and I'm glad Darian won. I'm a huge Darian mark, he's just got this raw natural charisma about him. I dig it, I enjoy working with him on this Roy program we got going on. I should probably include Brittany in this feud since she's kinda dating Roy, huh? Where are my manners for the fan girl. :P

I loved the Madison/Manson segment. I feel like WWE doesn't have enough moments like that. It's usually domestic abuse instead of truly loving and caring moments where somebody exposes their heart and is honestly worried about the other person's well being.

I'm digging Pyotr's return, although I feel like he needs a target right now or a solid program to bring him back properly. Something intense. Shame Ash Koopa ain't around.

One thing I didn't like, Cody beating Shaun Wilson should've been made a bigger deal. Shaun is a huge talent who's practically won every title in FIW except the DC, Cody getting a win over that should have had Chip jumping out of his seat in rage and Hitch congratulating Cody on a damn job well done.

I don't like the 4R and kinda not looking forward to fighting one of them this week. Is that bad to say? That's how much disdain I have for what the characters stand for. >___>

Does that make it awkward or convenient that Brittany used to crush on Darian?

Bit of a delay in my feedback, but here we go!

ReVolt

Shaun Wilson vs Cody McGinnis/Pain
This was a nice, short match and I'm glad to see Cody pick up the win on this one. I like Shaun Wilson, but I've always been a fan of Cody's; especially ever since NGIW when we got to do that storyline together toward the end.

Pet Segment
Wow, I really liked this segment with Pet. It showed a totally different facet to her character, the insecure, vulnerable side almost. I think that made it kinda relatable 'cause I'm sure everyone's had those insecure moments at times. Great job to Jo on this; it'll be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Helena Handbasket vs Pet
I thought this match was awesome and I agree with The Other Steve that Lita's doing a great job in building up the Hellcats division with her writing. I like the fact that Pet is now starting to come into her own with the training and everything little by little. I think it's gonna be fun to see her start to develop in the ring as Mercedes continues to train her. This was a great match and it was really fun to read.

Silas Bergeron vs Cage Murdock
Before I discuss the match, I just wanna point out:

JH: "You can feel the electricity in the air!"

CM: "That's just my raw magnetism."

THAT was hilarious to me; Chip and Jonathan's commentary from the start was great. This match in general was awesome and definitely a fun read and I think Seph definitely achieved what he set out to do and make this a proper send off for Silas. It sucks to see Jim have to leave, like I had said before, but here's hoping it won't be long before he steps back in the pirate ship (Kevin Nash, anyone? Eh? Eh? No? Oh, okay). Awesome match from Seph here and I really like where the Cage Murdock character is heading.

4R Segment
I thought this segment was really cool; showing how Johann and Günther can't seem to handle not having Veronika in the picture. I really like the 4R/Summit stuff that this could lead to from here. And I agree, 4R are the heels I absolutely love to hate. Great work from Marc with this segment.

Mungrel © vs Quincy Wilson
Like The Other Steve said, I really enjoyed the RP's for both characters in this match. I definitely agree Bran did a good job with the Quincy RP. Still, it was cool to see Mungrel take the win in this match even though it was non-title. It makes sense to have that result. Overall, this was a really well-written match. And I also liked that Gorilla Monsoon line from Jonathan at the end there too. I actually read it in Monsoon's voice and re-read Chip's line in Heenan's. Lol.

Fallout

“Gentlemen” Colt Atherton vs “The Portrait” Darian Gray
Hopefully Matt and Will both liked this match. I'm a huge fan of the Darian character and having written one of his matches before, it was easy to write him in this week. It was equally as easy for me to write Colt in too, and Chip's belief that the whole "Gentleman" thing is fake also made it easier to write commentary from him as well. I think the Colt Atherton character is at a good start right now, I think with time he'll only get better from here.

“Immaculate” Jimmy Steel (1) vs. H@VOK (3)
It was cool to see Jimmy stay alive in this series, and jeez, Alexander is really making his presence known, ain't he? Lol. I like how, even in matches that don't involve them, Alexander and Eversol always have a way of nearly coming to blows but stop just short of it; at least until the end of this show. But since that encounter was a short one, it felt like a mini preview of what could happen if they step in the ring for real.

Jack & Madison Manson Segment
I like that Jack and Madison are the power couple of FIW, a la Hunter and Steph except not heels. The whole angle between Jack and Neo has been really fun to see play out and this adds an interesting dynamic to it. Neo's not even in the company right now, he's nowhere near the buildings where FIW holds its shows and yet he's still a force against Jack. I think that says a lot about him and his influence and power. It'll definitely be interesting to see how that plays out from here on.

Johnny Amazing vs Maxime Rowley
I had a lot of fun writing this match because Johnny and Max's styles are so similar to one another. And it was definitely a conscious effort on my part to have Johnny pull off some lesser-used moves as Lita pointed out. I like a lot of the moves in his moveset, so I thought it'd be good to showcase them a bit more in this match.

Nemesis vs Nathaniel Alexander
Sid came to me with this idea and I was honestly shocked that he wanted to do things like that and not only have Alexander go over but ultimately remove Nemesis from the entire DC contendership tournament. I felt like he could have been a major competitor for the title and I definitely think he still should be. This was a great match and it definitely showcased Nathaniel's heel side by having him use the belt and the ropes to win. Chip calling him a God among men is bound to go straight to Alexander's head. Lol.

Stephen J Eversol & Mercedes Blackwell vs. Pytor Sadovsky & Terri Golde

Great job to The Other Steve on writing this match. I think it turned out awesome. I know it's tough to write tag matches in the first place, throw in mixed tag rules and it's gotta be a bit harder keeping psychology in mind there. I loved the fact that Alexander got involved in this and it built more heat for the Alexander/Eversol feud. Adding that component of Mercedes being upset and wondering if she can trust Eversol is a great idea. It adds a lot to the sort of vulnerability that Eversol has right now and forces him to keep questioning things at every turn regarding himelf. Awesome storytelling and I'm definitely looking forward to continuing this thing.

Pret-ty...pret-ty good show this week and things look to be moving at a nice fast pace heading into the next PPV.

Cody Vs. Shaun - Nice even match and can agree with Seph that it should have been treated as more of an upset with Chip & Hitch considering Shaun's accomplishments. Match itself flowed nicely I think with both men getting in a good amount of offense.

Pet/Kat - Interesting exchange between the two even though I have to admit I didn't get as much out of it as I usually do from Pet's usual antics.

Helena Vs. Pet - Good match with the only gripe I would have would be how there wasn't any mention of the three count going down making it easy to miss and think the match is going in the next paragraph if you aren't paying attention. Liked the post-match actions with Helena laying waste to Brittany.

Murdock Vs. Silas - Well done match and a bit of a surprise to see Silas take a fall in this one. Cool how Rougarou made his exit at the end.

4R Segment - I wrote it so I hope everyone enjoyed the return of Mr. Burke. ^_^

Mungrel Vs. Quincy - Good exchanges between the two to give both sides some shine and a nice finish.

Gentleman Vs. The Portrait - Good match between the two with a good clean finish. Unfortunate Colt in his debut though but he was up against Gray who is by no means an easy opponent. I'll say this though, Colt and Archibald P. Leatheby should definitely get together and form a team. Something just seems like they'd be a perfect fit.

Havoc Vs. Steel - Enjoyed the chaos straight off in this match and looking forward to the rest of the program. Liked how the finish went down with Steel stealing the win.

Madison/Manson - Liked Madison playing the concerned role to her husband and getting him to say he won't face Neo, These two definitely compliment each other very well and a cool contrast to the previous "power couple".

Amazing Vs. Rowley - Fun match and cool seeing the rookie take on the wily veteran. Johnny looks like he's on a nice roll and with a few weeks still remaining he wouldn't be far off from being able to sneak into the top.

Nemesis Vs. Alexander - Good match and it ends with Nathaniel proving why he's at the front of the leader board in the DC chase. I've got a feeling these two aren't done though.

Mixed Tag Main Event - Exciting main event and I had no idea who would come out until the end. Cool seeing Sadovsky back more often as one of my main regrets was never really being able to find anything half decent for him. Enjoyed Alexander still screwing around with Eversol and distracting him and costing him the match. Almost gotta feel bad for Eversol though, he gets stuck in a handicap last week and this week his partner thinks he's a douche and he gets jumped by Alexander.
