On my lunch break at work so I only read my match so far. Went perfectly! Bleak delivers again. :) Grimm might have a bit of a hard time at next week's show since she was stretched out, though. :P I have to say, weeks like the past one are why I've stuck around fedding for over a decade, there isn't a much better feeling than seeing your creations come to life and are critically acclaimed. I'll look around the rest of the show but I've got to get to work for next week's show asap.

I dont much care for the Kim/Eversol relationship. I think its why I have a hard time really enjoying the current drama in his storylines. Its written just fine and I think ill like it in hindsight, but right now it just feels like an old trick that I'm tired of falling for.

Other than Joe's stuff coming off as weirdly bitter lately, i appreciate the more positive take on his characters.

Hellcats Tag Match was fun, and I had a good time building for it with Dai.

The Night with Kim match itself was brutal and great. Really sold both wrestlers. Same with the FSC.

I love the brick sharks. I wanna say I dont get why they lost, but... I do. Next time. I really liked how the ME was written. Just constant chaos!

Suzanne adds a very interesting wrinkle to Deadlock. Quite the surprise! Looking forward to the draft on this.

Once we get the explanation on next week's stips, I'm fired up to get playing.

Good show, up VERY early. Love it! Great job, everyone.

As for being OOC bitter, I feel this week it's warranted and here's why; I lost to a photoshopped image that had nothing to do with anything. Everyone was just "Oooh, ahhh. Oh, what's Joe doing? Folloeing feedback guidelines? Oh fuck him. Fuck him twice." First I lose to an introductory RP and a photoshopped image, but a face does a heel tactic to a face and will most likely never be questioned on it. And she'll be loved all the more for it while I get told "Joe, your characters never react to the matches." My biggest pet peeve in this being faces acting like heels and yet still being cheered in everything they did. If it's supposed to be the start of a heel turn then fine. Although something tells me it isn't.

But whatever, maybe I just need some time away from this place.

Although I don't want that just being my only thoughts on the show. Right up to the last few lines, Lita wrote a good match and took in my suggestion of Pet trying to find something for Godeater. I do appreciate that. Pets frustration levels seemed a bit high at times, even by her standards. I don't know why people want to keep writing her in matches as a heel. Were her only face qualities sexual? Other than that, and the ending, I did enjoy the match.

Party on,
Joe.

Follow Pet's Twitter if you don't mind...you know, Pet being Pet. Also, she tends to mention it a fair bit. (NSFW)

Hey, that's pretty cool. Thanks for belittling all our work.

For the record your characters are absolute shit 9 times out of 10. They're bullshit masturbatory fantasies. You have no clue what a feminist is and I suspect a real person, for that matter, as none of your characters have ever acted like one. "Nobody" wants to work with you because you always pull crazy fucked up pointlessly dramatic shit when they do. Like how I've tried to establish several times over the years of my RP history that Giggles wants nothing more than to provide for his kid but somehow Catherine is always destitute or hurting for money. Or how shit that's part of your little script happens no matter what because you rely so hard on the rules of the fed to save your ass. I recall a point in NGIW where your character was laid up in the hospital and obviously corrupt cops were trying to abduct her for some reason but neither myself nor Lita could do anything about it. How about all the time spent with Eve making Nir's character Joe Stanton look like an idiot and a fool? Oh, wait, I'm sorry. These could not have possibly happened because nobody ever works with you.

For the last three weeks in character and out of character you've been BEGGING for an excuse to look like a victim so everyone can feel sorry for you. Here it is. I'm an asshole, and I'm tired of your shit. Grow the fuck up, play your fucking characters the shitty way you want to play them and stop expecting other people to play along because our characters rarely get ANYTHING out of it.

Oh, damn, its not so cool when someone ELSE takes the gloves off, is it? Fuck you. I spent half an hour carefully cutting, filtering, and aligning that image to promote a goofy skit for our match and all you can do is LITERALLY bitch in character that our team didn't tell you a strategy to exploit, and then bitch in feedback because you didn't win just because you listened to feedback. That shit doesn't guarantee you a win. Its about GROWTH. Continued, observable improvement. AND EVEN THEN if the judges just dig what your opponent did you might still pick up the loss. Sometimes you fucking lose. Its an efed. What else is new? I lose all the goddamn time, you dont see me whining. Act your fucking age.

For the record, this? What you're doing here? Is EXACTLY what I though you'd do. So on top of being an entitled jackass you're predictable.

I don't know why people want to keep writing her in matches as a heel. Were her only face qualities sexual?

Pet IS a heel, though. She constantly sexualizes Blink far beyond her comfort-zone (and when she's not doing that she's ignoring her altogether for her own personal nonsense), disregards Mercedes' wishes to just be friends simply because she has the hots for her, and above all of that she's completely self-involved and delusional. She is Keith Williams if Keith Williams weren't as sexy and hilarious as he is.

As for Wight's post, it is overly harsh. It certainly could have been worded better but to say it's unwarranted is not entirely true. Jo has been going out of his way to insult other people's work every week simply because he's not winning matches. I get the frustration but that is unwarranted as well. Just because Jo did it in a "nicer" way than Wight does not make either one any more warranted than the other.

I apologize to Jo for the harsh words from Wight, but take a moment to consider how you'd likely made Sid, Wight, and Dai feel for YOUR feedback on their work.

EVERYONE needs to be more conscious of what they're posting in feedback. Just because you are frustrated does not give you the right to make someone else feel like garbage. That's not just advice for Jo and that's not an attack on Wight's post. That is advice for EVERYBODY because I've seen numerous people vent their frustrations in here while only thinking about themselves. I'm pretty sure everyone on this board is old enough to know better, they just don't always show it.

Alright, so...

I wanted to win the UIC this week, but Marc is a son of a bitch and pulled out the big guns on me. I felt fairly confident about what I put out. However, I was fully prepared for a loss after that last Mad Dawg RP. Maybe next time, maybeeee nexttttt timeeeee.

Glad that I was able to put together a card for Keith's week of booking. I did PM the card with explanations of the matches. I can post them here if need be.

Happy to see another show up on time and early. Thanks to everyone that wrote, especially Sephster for the effort put into my match. Loved the after match powerbomb/European uppercut spot as well as the opening bit of announcing both competitors. The Road Dogg schtick was great. Man of Sleaze is a nickname I'm definitely using moving forward.

For the record, I voted for Keith. Nothing against Mad Dawg because Marc was great this week too, but that's kind of standard for me regardless of who Keith is booked against.

"Oh, Keith Williams is facing Johnny Amazing? Yeah, Keith Williams should beat that loser because Keith Williams is the best and I love him."

Thank ya, thank ya. I feel like Marc killed me with some of the stuff he brought up. Really added a lot more to the Mad Dawg/Revenants story. All in all I think what we created last week was great.

I'm sorry to drag things back to this, but hopefully just momentarily. I just wanted to say that I wasn't trying to belittle the effort put in from Wight and Dai, I was just put under the impression from Wight last week that more was to come. I didn't pick apart anything out of character and I certainly didn't pick things apart in character. If people were offended then I apologize.

Onto Pet, the reasons you list, while warranted, were the negative comments made about Pet in the feedback thread. So things I'm trying to work away from. Nothing against your writing, please don't take it as an insult, but it is hard to focus away from something that has been taken so negatively when it's still being put in use in such a third party way. I don't mean outside mentions, I mean how Pet is written in her matches. That's all.

Party on,
Joe.

I think everyone needs to take a step back and relax. If this conversation is going to continue, I'd like both parties to take it outside of the thread and discuss it with me in private. There's no sense in muddling this thread up with this. I know tempers are flared right now, but there's really no need for any of this on either side.

Quick feedback on the match calls.

The opener had solid work by everybody involved. Really good stuff. I enjoyed the continued growth of Jonny & Velocity and Riot, I feel they're all becoming really fine additions to the roster. And, while that was the case, it was pretty much universally felt that XK brought his A game to the affair & showed why he's a consistent fixture in the upper card.

I felt the Blink & Pet RPs were okay, not as off putting as they sometimes can be. But I felt more of a focused direction & creativity out of Dai's and Wighty's efforts. Photoshopped poster aside. This was a feeling that was echoed by many of those that weighed in on matches this show. Why I gave the nod to Sakura & Scratch.

The FSC match was a hard call to make. In the end, everyone pretty much felt Gus has really found his stride and he's become something of a highlight in the FSC division. Where while up to about his usual quality, Other Steve's work didn't quite hit that mark this week. Because of that, Gus got the nod to continue his reign as champ.

Really, outside of the Hellcats title match all of the title matches were hard to call.

The UIC, I'm not going to even lie, after Kyle's first RP I thought we might be in store for a new champion. It was pretty tit for tat between the two of them. And, I felt this week exemplified the Keith Williams character at it's best. But then Marc posted arguably I feel one of the best RPs I've seen out of him in his final RP. There was a call for a draw & a vote for Keith by some, it was felt by most that last RP nudged MD forward and I felt it could continue the low key rivalry the Revenants have with MD.

The tag titles. Everyone put out good stuff, though the general consensus was that it felt Marc was rightfully a little more focused on the UIC match. And, that while 10/31 and the Sharks were entertaining, Depicting Sorrow made it more about the titles in their RPs. Really putting over the titles as important. Why the champs managed to sneak by and hold onto them.

Smidge surprised that I retained there, especially where I came across as being way more heelish than I was intending to be in the promo where I banned Coulter from ringside.

And, as a follow-up to the match feedback above, I plan to send everyone feedback by the end of the week. It will be semi-handler related and semi-character related, with my own feelings and maybe sharing some that have been a consistent theme in the judges' thoughts. I hope everyone will find them helpful and insightful.

Lita's absolutely right. If that post hadn't caught me in the middle of a perfect storm of negativity I wouldn't have made it. I stand by the content of what I said, but not HOW I said it. If anyone unrelated to the conflict has had their day impacted because of my vitriol, I firmly apologize and will try to do better in the future. This is the last I will say on the matter.

I agree with Sid's assessment of Kyle's work. In fact, I said basically the same thing in my judging PM to him. That Mad Dawg presidential promo was the tits. If it weren't for that, Keith would be our UIC.

I love the fact that there's a breakdown of how the judging went for the show without naming names. It gives you some advice on how to improve and at the same time lets you know if things were especially close in case you did feel cheated. Also liking the weekly posts in the FIW.com forum that let you know of developing storylines or opportunities you'll be apart of.

EDIT: Match rules and such

Main Event
Free Stache Rules (aka Lucha Libre tag-team rules, but pins and submissions can only be counted if said wrestler is wearing their REQUIRED fake stache. Keith doesn't need a fakey, obviously)

Scalp an Indigenous Person (aka First Blood rules)

Spin a Dreidel Match (must spin a dreidel before going for a pin or submission, referee will have a pocketful of these bad boys)

Best Hair Toss! Contest (handpicked and judged by none other than The Revenants, hair toss victim being Dragon)

Don't Takey My Dashiki (persons must come out wearing a dashiki with the object being to remove your opponent's dashiki completely)

Fluorescent Fiesta Match (can only win the match by performing finisher on a pile of fluorescent Christmas light bulbs. light bulbs kept in stockings decorated around the ring)

Mustache On A Pole Match (retrieve the inflated mustache from the top of a pole secured onto a turnbuckle)

I haven't posted in a feedback thread yet as I'm still getting a feel for the characters in FIW but today I will. Not to blow smoke up anyone's ass here but I think these shows are some of the most well written shows I have read in many years of reading shows in many different feds. I love being pulled in and finding myself forgetting I'm reading an e-fed show.

As a newcomer, sometimes it's hard to fit in and find your niche and equally difficult for the writers do your character justice as you see it. That has not been a problem. I am in constant awe at the fantastic writing when it comes to Jonny Hardkore in the shows. It is extremely well done and my hats off to Jonny's writer.

Every other match is done just as well and I like the fact that there's something for everyone. It is just a well done show. Period. Anyone and everyone who has anything to do with putting these shows together should be very proud of themselves because you all certainly deserve it.

They call my left leg Thanksgiving and they call my right leg Christmas. Now pick up your cell phones, call your ladies and tell them to come visit Jonny Hardkore between the holidays.

Show was a breeze man, was so good didn't feel like it was dragged out at all. Everything blended well together and I'm excited to see the direction the fed is going, seems like we've all got a full head of steam.

I'm thoroughly enjoying my run with Kyle as The ReVenants and feel we're putting out quality that not only is fun, but feels great. Kyle has always been one of my favorite people to work with and by golly, I hope everyone else is having fun too.

The tag match was a whirlwind of high spots and holy shit moments that literally had me on the edge of my seat. Was I gonna win? I felt confident in Matt and I's RP, but you can never feel too confident in FIW. I'm immensely happy the judges liked our effort as we put our heads together to come up with an interesting story while giving the titles importance which I felt helped us edge out the win.

I gotta say, I'm becoming a big fan of Gus Richlen and Jonny Hardkore. I can't wait to see them kick more ass.

What? Like cheap beer and a boom box blasting King Diamond?

- Although, that whole business with Ana and Basilisk was pretty choice. Exactly what needed to happen.
- The start of the Kellyn vs. Britt match. Suitable finish, too.
- It's worth re-saying: Neo is so much better as a heel.
- Don't know about Gus being actually heelish, but yeah, seeing as Eversol is positioning himself as the face in the Alexander/Coulter business, it might have seemed a bit more heelish.
- I really dug the Amazing Sharks promo.

I realise that largely this part of the discussion is over, but there's a moment in my match that I wanted to comment on, but I can't without directly contradicting something above.

but a face does a heel tactic to a face and will most likely never be questioned on it. And she'll be loved all the more for it.

The cheaper than necessary shot at the end of the match fits in with other things Sakura has said and done so far. I don't believe in doing things in such obviously black and white terms. I don't yet know exactly how I will acknowledge it, but I'm fine with Sakura's mask slipping a little now and again, and I thought it was a neat touch.
