Really looking forward to that ME but otherwise WOW what a great show! I can't believe how long and back and forth Jinx/Sakura v Kellyn/Mercedes was. Disappointed we lost, but I get it. Dai and I took too long to get something off the ground.

I liked all the promos, and I read all of them! Keith/Brittany and Jimmy Steel were probably my favorites.

The four on four looked short, but it was much more thorough and gripping to actually read through. Way to condense a lot of action into such a small space! I really thought everyone was characterized well. Mad Dawg is such a beast! That match had to have been hard to call. Glad I didn't have to

The bikini contest was also cute. Yay Brittany!

Good job to everyone involved!

Thanks for the feedback, Wight! I had a blast with everything I wrote for this show and I appreciate any feedback on them.

The Keith/Brittany segment was so much fun to write! I thanked Kyle in PM but I am still so amazed that he's interested in running this type of angle with me. I have so much fun when I get to write Brittany interacting with Keith. Kyle does an incredible job of laying the sleaze on in such a way that I don't feel like Brittany looks stupid for perceiving it as charming. It makes Keith all the more sleazy and I love when it's sleazy! Lol.

The Bikini Challenge was so much fun to actually get to do. As I've mentioned in the past, I watched WWF/E during the Attitude Era and especially during the Torrie Wilson era. I always found the T&A stuff fun and I've never really saw it demeaning to the women because girls like Trish and Torrie were able to do these kinds of things and I still loved to watch them wrestle. I knew Jo would be the one who would jump on board with this idea with me and he did not disappoint. I hope he liked what I managed to do with the segment. I did my best but even though I like Pet, like all Jo characters I cannot predict them which limits my ability to write them.

The Brick Sharks were such a fun story this week! Up front, I apologize to ANYONE that was offended by Harley's retort to Cage. It was so obnoxious and childish. It was totally the point. THAT IS HARLEY! When he doesn't have Caleb to keep him reeled in, that is who Harley is at his core. I was so glad that Seph didn't rage out on me and even more thrilled that he was game for Cage to do the damage to Harley at the start of the show. A special thanks to Sid for approving my ideas of Harley getting taken out at the start of the show and Caleb pulling double duty so I could bring these adorable Sharks back together. It was a fun week-long story with these two and I hope at least someone else enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Thanks to Wight for his help in the opening segment and for going for the idea. Harley got to continue being Harley unchained and it got to blow up in his face. Just as it should! He's a little shit.

Thanks to Matt for coming to me with an idea for Darian and Caleb. I'm flattered that Darian is at all interested in Caleb joining up with him in any capacity. To me, that's a huge compliment to Caleb that the Portrait of Perfection would want him around at all. Caleb must be pretty darn good looking! Haha.

Great stuff from Marc in the Jimmy Steel promo! I appreciate the fact that Steel hasn't given up on Kim even though she's been the worst manager ever to him. Lol.

I am beyond thrilled that Dan is back with us! I am in love Mark Cannon. He's the only character thus far that is capable of putting me in a tough spot when it comes to opposing Keith Williams. I love Keith Williams. But I adore Mark Cannon as well! I've always loved him and while I'm glad he's back I am super bummed that he hates Johnny now. I loved those two together. *sniffles* As for the match, I wasn't sure what Mark's style was now. I used his old bio and hope that's OK.

I'll try to feedback more later but regardless I appreciate every who helped write (thanks to Bleak and Nate for constantly stepping up to help me and Sid out) and I loved seeing the segments! I felt this was such a great show!

Well, blearg. I have a feeling that my change in character direction from what I was doing in NGIW towards the end has come at a heavy cost. I've tried to do things differently withmy promos, but it feels like I've lost my bite.

Opening match was close. It was a little divided among the judges, though in the end the more overwhelming sentiment was Mercedes & Kellyn just edged it out. While I liked what everyone had done, I was cool with rolling with that.

Both Riot and Richlen had their supporters, and I felt both did well for what's a first time match up. In the end, I felt while Richlen was good and agreed with the general sentiment that the judges had that he's a good old school Pro-Wres shit talker. I thought Riot was a touch more focused. Tried to go with an ending that benefited both, Richlin looking good while Riot looking clever.

Next match was partially due to the shortie Marc posted and the beauty Matt & Lita did together. Plus as Seph spoke about behind the scenes, there was a pretty logical way to end it while keeping the 4R from getting too hurt by the loss.

I can't speak on the match I was apart of, obviously. So I can only rely what was said by judges. The work of both teams was good, but the Poe & Avila joint was noted as being liked and that the bad guys overall just barely edged it out. Despite this I felt that if anyone benefited from the W on the TIER side, it was Cage.

Like someone else said about the AA vs. Rev match, the match deserved a result but no one deserved to lose here. Everyone was on point. When push came to shove, I agreed with the sentiment made by the judges that the Revenants squeezed it out due to Mark's late hour appearance. Had this been a match between both teams from the gate, I think it could've gone differently. But due to how strong the Mark return promo was on it's own, I felt the finish with Keith helped keep Mark looking good.

And, maybe set up something.

Now probably the most controversial call I've made as fedhead. Or, so I figured. I pained over this. Our usual suspects for judges were split, with a slant leaning towards the challenger getting the nod. I outsourced some thoughts from some other members that I thought could give some insight. While Nathaniel did get a nod from someone else too, the overwhelming response was a title change was in the air.

The two core critiques brought against Nathaniel were that for having a big speech about not resting on his laurels anymore, it felt like it was just that. That it didn't feel like Nathaniel really showed just how much the titles meant to him and how much he wanted to stay champion. Despite the history between Mungrel and him, it felt like it was missing a spark on his end.

The other was that they don't want to read a lovesick Nathaniel. That the actually taking blame for the Nemesis episode and trying to win Kim back didn't jive for them. They would like to see Nathaniel bounce back from this title loss by bringing out a more vicious, aggressive side to him. To paraphrase a recent promo, rediscover his venom.

The general sentiment was that Mungrel's work was more solid and entertaining of the two.

If I'm being honest, I debated this.

I was on the fence to begin with, before any of the judges' thoughts rolled in. I agreed with alot of what was said by the judges. Judges that were for both men.

I realize it's often a ideology that the challenger has to beat the champion. I also feel like the champion really has to show they want it too. A champion that coasts or that feels like they are only matching the effort put out by their opposition leaves me feeling blase.

I liked what both did, and I saw the pros & cons of both results, and I could justify both. Partially because I felt neither quite went into high gear this week compared to previous outputs by both men I've seen. Not a slight on their work this week, it's like saying instead of A+ material, they only offered A material in this case.

In the end, I agreed with the judges. While it is a stumble for Nathaniel to lose the DC now, I feel he can right the course just as easily and come back even better. Make his second reign with the DC, when it happens, even better than his first.

In closing I would like to reiterate something my predecessor once said, if you disagree at all with the results, please weigh in come judging time. Literally the difference sometimes can be a solid argument made for someone from a point of view I didn't think of. And, the results can't change if it's just the same old crew & I always weighing in. I'd love to hear from different people, who bring different insight and opinions to the table.

I enjoyed the bikini contest. Sorry I couldn't offer anything other than my consent and Pet's choice of apparel. Hopefully if there's another I can contribute a little more there. :)
Party on,

Show was a good solid read, very interesting developments from all sides and I feel this episode of the show really pushes us forward towards Deadlock. I'm excited to see the card develop right before our eyes and it's becoming a Winter Blockbuster!

Mark Cannon blew me away with his promo, I was like...who knows Neo like this!? What!? Huh!? Then I marked out a little. It's amazing (see what I did there?) to see a team reform to take on The ReVenants as it makes what I'm doing feel all the more special. I enjoyed the match and thought it was a very well thought out piece of material, everything was detailed and finely tuned, felt like the writer (Who is the bestest) really enjoys these characters and it shines through the writing.

Cage picking up the W put a big grin on my face. The whole Murder Rack through the table, beautiful. Everything made Cage look so grizzly and I almost feel like it's not deserved. Lita exposed me for a doofus last week and I thought I had screwed over our team with that little nugget of misinformation, fortunately the rest of my team picked up my slack and we squeaked away with the victory over some very game competition. But I appreciate the monstrous appeal Cage had this show, really what I like seeing from the character.

The Sorrow match I enjoyed, loved that my ideas got used and it continues to make Depicting Sorrow look strong, even if half of us loss. Caleb joining the fold would be highly interesting! Great match, well written.

The main event has me torn. Because with the return of Krychek, it's like...Krychek vs Nathaniel was already built in, it would have been glorious. Mungrel getting a record breaking win is something to behold though, and Mungrel is a top notch competitor that just keeps on racking up the accomplishments. He's the regular Michael Jordan of FIW, breaking all kinds of records. Way to go Mun. Neo vs Mungrel II will be even more epic now. >.>

Keith and Brittany segment was so swank I tried to copy it and make my own but I failed because I'm so busy.

I had a feeling that the Mercedes and Kellyn stuff had a little more bite to it. Funny that me and Steve had pretty much the same ideas this week: meet partner, go shopping. That's what you get when you wait so long to get started. Match was sweet though. Sakura getting the Belly to Belly Suplex on a running Kellyn, but not a stationary Kellyn was a nifty touch.

As to Gus Richelin, I'd say that it's more a case of needing to have something a little different to do, occasionally. Someone new to interact with? I was toying with the idea of resurrecting the Rin Takeda Management Agency when I came back, but Avila was filling the slot of the tiny woman recruiting people. Could work now that her army is assembled?

The Brick Sharks were amazing this week. Absolutely amazing. Both of them. Words are failing me.

Keith Williams is still amusing sleaze; Tier's date announcement hasn't got old yet, and the matches were all snazzulicious.

I just want to weigh in here. I didn't give an actual argument for my opinion because I didn't feel it needed an argument. But I would have gladly given one if it was needed. To me, there was little room to debate. I thought my judging implied that. Guess not.

Let me preface by saying that I love the Mungrel chracter. Mun the person is even more awesome than the character. However, I disagree 100% with the result and I really cannot fathom how anyone judged this match any differently.

The assessment that the champion only matched the challenger particularly makes me laugh as it was the exact opposite this week, I felt. The challenger waited on the champion, matched him, and then sat back and waited to see what happened. I can't get behind that for (1) a title change and (2) a record-setting title change at that.

I'm just absolutely baffled by the result in the main-event. I don't even know what to say right now.

Gotta say I echo what Lita feels. I don't generally like to question decisions about title changes and such, but I really didn't understand the DC changing hands. I don't know Mun personally but from what everyone says, he's a good guy and I think he's got a good character so this certainly isn't a knock on him.

I just don't understand why the title changed hands with almost no build-up. It almost would have been better for Nemesis to win the title since there was some build-up there and the match was anticipated. Nathaniel is such an asshole heel, I feel the one who took the title from him should really have been feuding with him for a while before taking the title from him to finally see Nathaniel humbled in a big way and not on such short notice. This change just seems very anti-climatic, in my opinion.

I'm as baffled as everyone else but that's not a knock on all those wonderful judges or just the one wonder, who ever they may be.

For the most part had no real motivation to cash in the shot from B&F, didn't really want to win anything from that match and only rped the way I did for it because I really wanted to read about Mungrel doing crazy shit with ladders. Didn't really have the motivation to rp for this week either so what you got wasn't me trying to beat or match the champion but me trying to just put something up. I was going to do a second rp, can't remember what about I know it was going to reference Nick Riot in there somewhere but it came down to RP or sleep and you all know which one won.

For anyone feeling annoyed, frustrated, disheartened or anything other than entertained by the record holding Dual Crown champion I have some word for you. It'll be over soon. Mungrel's never been able to hold on to a championship for long and who knows it could be you or who you would like to see as champion when Mungrel next loses the Dual Crown. [size0]It could also be them that lose it so that he becomes the five time, five time, five time, five time, five time Dual Crown Champin

I wanted to weigh in on one thing I've seen repeated that's really started to bother me, and it's that Mun waited until Sunday to reply to Nate's roleplay.

This is what Mun does. And before I go any further, I don't want this to look like a hit piece because it's not. Anyone with a calendar handy and can click the link to all of Mun's roleplay threads can do this.

The last time Mun posted a roleplay that was not a Sunday was Thursday, October 8th. Since August 1st, Mun has only posted 8 roleplays that were NOT on a Sunday (Saturday August 8th, Thursday August 13th, Friday August 14th, Saturday August 15th, Friday August 28th, Saturday September 5th, Saturday September 19th and the above mentioned Thursday October 8th). I'd go back further, but I think my point's about been made so far.

If posting your first roleplay on Sunday is such a problem, then where was the outcry that Mungrel had won a Dual Crown Championship match after Blessed & Forsaken? Because this isn't a new trend here.

I know posting your first roleplay on Sunday is generally frowned upon - myself included - but it's not against the rules. This is not illegal. And I don't think Mun should be raked over the coals for it.

Either posting your first roleplay on Sunday should be against the rules - and should be against the rules RIGHT NOW - or people need to quit getting so hung up over it. Because as long as this is legal, people are going to keep doing it.

No one complained that he waited until Sunday to RP. That's not the problem. It was stated that Nate only matched Mun when it was clearly the other way around.

If the Mungrel won because his RP was better, then say that. Entertainment is subjective. However, Sid outright states that he disagreed that was the case.

To call someone a lazy writer when you can look at the board and see otherwise is a slap in the face to one of the hardest working RPers (who also writes matches for us) here.

I'm not here to try and get rules changed or hang anyone up for being a deadline bomber or what have. I'm here to question booking information that is public knowledge but doesn't make sense. Now, normally I'd keep my mouth shut and roll my eyes behind the scenes like I've been doing but when I'm the supposed second-in-command and people are coming to me asking questions that I don't have answers to because I was no more involved in the decision than anyone else who bothered to send in results, I'd kind of like to help out and get answers for these people.

I'm not sure where it was repeatedly stated that Mun waited until Sunday to RP because Jim was the first one to bring up Sunday. Nate didn't even RP until early Sunday morning. So I'm not sure who is upset about Mun RPing Sunday.

Fwiw, differences are being settled over PM. I'm an idiot, and I'll explain why when I can sit down at my PC tomorrow. So just ignore my rant for right now.

I have no shortage o people to work with (Revenants and Nick Riot, obviously). It's just my work needs to get better. Even I think my promos lately suck.

I think your stuff is fine. It was just a close match. *shrugs* Best not to get down about it, man. Always seek to improve, but don't do it from a place of "man, I suck, I need to get better". That won't get you anywhere but frustrated. Just always do your best and always try for that inch more.

As for me echoing Jim's comments... um. I kinda thought I had caught a whiff of that in there too, but I'm probably an idiot for the same reason Jim is.

CARTOONS.

EDIT:

Quote:

I just don't understand why the title changed hands with almost no build-up. It almost would have been better for Nemesis to win the title since there was some build-up there and the match was anticipated. Nathaniel is such an asshole heel, I feel the one who took the title from him should really have been feuding with him for a while before taking the title from him to finally see Nathaniel humbled in a big way and not on such short notice. This change just seems very anti-climatic, in my opinion.

Every title match is a match where you can lose your title, regardless of build-up. Unless the other person has agreed to take the fall. Is it the perfect scenario? No. But nor is the character... like... dead. He can come back, get another shot at the strap, and be the same asshole he always has been until time comes for him to change gears as a character. THAT'S who you want a big build-up with, regardless of whether or not the match has a title attached to it.

Titles come and go, I guess is what I'm saying. I dunno.

Well, I'm going to take a moment to apologize to anyone I've upset in this thread. Nothing I've said is untrue nor have I changed my mind about it at all. Some of the booking stumps me and I wish I could find someone to help me make heads or tails of it, but that effort has been fruitless. To anyone who might be reading this, I know that I am the supposed second-in-command but I really have next to no input on the booking or direction of the fed. No more than anyone else who gives their judging thoughts every week, and I'm always willing to divulge who I voted for and why if anybody ever wants to know. I only say this so that everyone can know upfront that Sidewinder is who you need to be asking exclusively about why certain things happen and where things are going. I know that he will be more than willing to explain himself to anyone who bothers to ask.

I want to apologize specifically to Mun if I've hurt you or upset you in any way in this thread. I truly do enjoy your work and your character. I'm not upset that you won, I'm upset for the reasons stated behind your victory. Don't let anyone take away a victory from you as anything more than you writing something fantastic. People lose because someone managed to RP better. That's the reason you deserve for why you won. It's not the first time you've been awesome and it won't be the last.

To Jimmy: I love you. Even though you misunderstood and thought you read something that wasn't there, I still love you. I'm glad we're at a place where we can discuss these kinds of misunderstandings and still leave it as pals.

To anyone else that may have been offended by what I posted, I'd just like to say that I'm sorry but point out that I said nothing negative against Mun that wasn't said against Nate. I wasn't out to make enemies nor did I want to make anybody feel like garbage. I simply wanted a friend of mine who is also a dedicated member of this community to get feedback on his loss that he can actually use moving forward, rather than feedback that doesn't match up with the events that took place.

In closing, if there's anyone (not named Jo :P) that would rather I hang up my hat and get the hell out of here for this thread then just let me know and I will be on my way. I am not interested in creating a negative atmosphere for anyone.

No worries here, I'm as stunned as everyone else… though likely more happy about the goings on then some.

I'm really going to piss my 2009 self off for saying this, but FIW is a better place because you've been a part of it, Lita. And I'd hate to see you leave, especially under circumstances like this.

I also wanted to go to bat for Sid. He has a very, very hard job trying to keep things afloat and everyone reasonably happy. Look, Steve isn't walking back in to take the reigns anytime soon, and nobody voted for Billy in our last election. We voted for Sid, we accepted Sid in our community, let's cut him some slack and at least let him explain himself more if need be and clear the air with anyone who needs it.
