Wow good show this week but damn this thread went all kinds of nuts before I even could jump in. I won't really go too far into detail on my opinion on the title change mainly because most of what I would say has already been said. I'm not big on them on regular TV, which would explain why I resorted to DQ and count outs to set up a rematch. But at the same time I definitely don't think they're something that shouldn't happen. Like it was said, what's the point in having them if the title can't change. So in closing for that subject, congrats to Mun and tough break to Nate though I'm certain it won't be the last time we see him with the belt. On to my matches, Strange Bedfellows kind of went how I expected with the circumstances. 8 Person tag was a good read, even though my one gripe would just be that Mad Dawg got really no shine during the match. He'd get beat down pretty much every time he came into the match and as soon as he turned it around he'd tag right out. |

I think I realized the problem; a lot of people might find Sid scary or intimidating and I think that's because of his creepy Nemesis banner. I mean, look at it! It's red and black and it's got a word that means 'hated enemy' right on it! So I whipped him up a new one to make him seem more... approachable. I expect he'll start using it immediately. |

Again, Wighty stole alot of my best material. I will try to add what I feel is needed. Though again for most of my thoughts on the matters of discussion, see Wighty's latest lengthy post.
Why does that matter? It shouldn't matter. I don't want it to matter in the fed I'm running. A title match, especially one where the contender is allowed to pick when it happens, should be able to in theory happen on any show. And, the title should be able to change hands on any show. One of the most memorable title changes of the Attitude Era, Mick Foley's first WWF title win, was on a RAW. Just a random episode of RAW. There are others but I think that illustrates my point. As the old saying goes in pro-wres, anything can happen. What Wighty said rings true too. XK had the choice of when his match would happen, he actually intended it to be the last show before Deadlock but got his dates mixed up. Regardless there was a piece of material from him with Mungrel announcing when he was cashing in his shot, a week or two prior, but still it was there. Nathaniel was off the cards for the better part of the PPV cycle due to you needing a hiatus. I'm not complaining, but it restricts what can be done in terms of build from a booker's perspective. I can't make XK and you do segments together. I can't make you guys build to your future match. For the opposite of that, think back to the Nemesis storyline. I knew I needed it to wrap up so I could move on with my character, so I contacted you. I got segments done between us, I built it up. Not just because I'm the fedhead either, because I'm a handler. Even before I was the fedhead, I took initiative in my storylines. To paraphrase Brian Cage "I got my shit in". And, like Wighty said, Billy's been sitting on his Deadlock date for a few months now. It's been signed and sealed, a done deal. I had to ensure Mungrel got his shot prior to that, because again like Wighty said it would've been lame had the shot elapsed. Without pulling back the curtain too far, Billy requested his reveal would be after a Dual Crown title match. RATC saw the end of the Nemesis story and the pool of contenders had some stumblings that really only left Mungrel as a viable option with his earned shot. And, I know it was mentioned before but I guess I'll address it now. Nemesis. I would not put the titles on Nemesis. He is my character, I'm the fedhead, no, it's just bad for business. I echo what Wighty said about working together. It creates some of the best stuff around. I know the example he gave of H@v0k and Cage was brilliant, and it made it hard to pick a winner in that match. Because it was all so good and the best part was it was all so connected to each other, it was like a fine woven rug. Or, even the makings of it are in the Cibernetico Pick threads this week. TIER starting out vaguely respectful, Dawg taking a shot, TIER returning it in a passive aggressive manner. It makes me want to see Dawg come back and play off of what TIER said & did. It makes me want to see the ride and potential escalation of these two guys while trying to make their picks. Or, the situation with Johnny and the ReVenants. Keith trying to win over the brother and how Johnny reacts to that, but also how Neo reacts to that. Making subtle mentions of that in his own shit and Johnny mentioning it back. I think the biggest thing to take away is that for a long time I've seen people feel that an e-fed can only be one of two things. A place to tell stories with others or a competitive writing challenge. Why not both? Why can't we value and rate the abilities of a handler for taking what someone else has put out there and weaving it into a story & maybe even integrating it into their own stories? Rather than who can make the best insular universe or who can rip the other person's work to shreds in an act that achieves nothing? To me, it would make the scene a whole lot richer of a read.
On the topic of the FSC & Johnny Amazing, in my defense and I'm not trying to throw anyone under the bus here...I was not the fedhead for most of that. While I understand what you are trying to say, that reason makes it fall flat for me in this topic right this moment. If I was solely responsible for that and you were using that as evidence to see why it fails under my stay as fedhead, I'd submit you have a point. Under my hand Johnny's been maneuvered into a PPV title match and even with only a few weeks build given some wrinkles with the champ story wise. Wrinkles that Gus or you could use for your characters, should you choose. I'm a firm believer of something Vince McMahon once said when it comes to my booking philosophy. I don't guarantee dreams come true, I give opportunity. It's on the person or persons on what they do with that opportunity. |

Without knowing details, I have to question why everyone is of the opinion Xtreme Kitten's title shot was such a rigid thing. Like I get that he seems to have won it and there was a cut off point, but conceivably in-character a request could have been put in to extend it for whatever reason. Or in-character wise XK could be screwed either during said title match or like a week before it's to happen so that he misses it; but Mun would retain some right to a title match, but it'd be delayed until a new plan could emerge. Would have easily built XK a side-feud to explain why he didn't immediately get some sort of rematch. Hell, if I had known the extent of this I would have offered Krychek as the light to screw XK as that would have made A) a title match between XK v. Krychek OR Nate a big to-do, sense that Krychek was targeting Nate.I guess my main point in the question is, is there a reason why everyone is thinking so inside the lines on it? Also; technically speaking the plan was two other contenders got built and were vying for the next shot, and Alexander would be given the opportunity to name his number one contender, but Krychek would interrupt and announce his cash-in then. Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances dashed those plans. Also-also: I should thank Steve and Sid for helping in crafting the whole she-bang. I know vignettes / one sided stories are difficult to arrange and keep up. So I should politely thank them. I should. I'm not, but I recognize I should. >.> <.< |

Probably the biggest hurtle with that is something I mentioned in somewhat uncertain terms earlier on. I am under normal circumstances not a fan of a title match with screwy finishes like that for the sake of padding things out. I especially don't like the trend of DQs or count outs in the main event title's title matches. Once in a blue moon is fine, but it's been happening alot this year. I prefer in normal circumstances a title match means...the title can change hands. |

Unrelated Note: I'm glad that Management has taken what's good about the Champion's Way Cibernetico and ditched some of what's bad; and this business with the picks is righteous. A thought I had for next time is a bigger pool of people that will be in the match, so there can be people left out who can feud with say, the losing captain. It writes itself, especially if the winning captain gets a non-DC title shot, in addition to the title shot going to the overall winner. |

Yeah, I've always liked the concept of the Survivor Series match. But I'm not trying to copy WWE outright, that's poor form. And, I liked some aspects of the Cibernetico Match. At it's core, the Cibernetico isn't a bad match I realized after thinking about it. It's just that it's always been too big, too large in scope to really be effective. I smashed them together and tried to make it the best of both worlds, and tried to do something different with having Marc & Wighty post their picks in the FIW.com forum throughout the last stretch. Give each pick a highlight, making it an anticipated thing and let the two captains potentially build their match & the heat between them. |

As someone who vents openly, I know what it's like to feel opposite of booking . I attribute this to be a wrestling fan and having this idea of how things should go in our heads. I know I've disagreed with things but sometimes that's just how it is. We're all adults here who have respectable opinions. Sometimes the other guy wins. The quality of RPs here at FIW you know anything is bound to happen. I know I love you guys for being awesome and being all cool when I see things differently. Must be hard to be in control of the show so I respect Sid for shouldering the responsibility . - I had this post sitting in my phone for a couple days. Was wondering what happened to it. |

In some news that likely won't change the board too much, Lita has stepped down as the second in command. She'll still be present to whip up her lovely graphics for us and she'll still be a handler on the board. Wighty will be taking over duties as #2, due in part to Lita talking to him about him taking over the position. And, him essentially already doing everything Lita was doing too in regards to management. |

So, feedback time! I enjoyed the match against AA and feel as if Lita always writes The Revenants well. I really can't complain about how things were handled. The only thing I might like to see more out of Keith when it comes to anyone writing him in the future is focusing more on his technical abilities. An Ode to Alex Trebek is a finisher he's had for a while and he's usually won quite a bit with it in the past. As far as the controversial finish to the Dual Crown match... I don't really have a strong opinion either way. Others have said it best and with a lot greater detail, delving into the interesting psychological aspects of e-fed booking. Personally? I like that all title matches have the possibility of going in the favor of the challenger. It leads to finishes like this and creates or breaks characters/feuds at times based on how it's handled. I certainly feel this is more fair to both handlers as opposed to what happened with Liam Mortell's DC title reign. I don't know about any of you, but... I'm looking forward to Deadlock. Glad to see the Cibernetico back again, happy to see so many concurrent storylines happening on the card and being built up. Excited to see who the next Grand Prix Champion shall be. Also, anytime Wight says he liked something of mine that's a personal victory in my book. I continue to like working with Lita in the capacity we have so far with Keith and Brittany. It's something that's kind of out of my comfort zone, and adds something different to KW I feel. |
