Five star show. So many crazy spots and moments to speak of. I especially liked the way The Revenants were handled in the Cibernetico. Again, an amazing effort from everyone involved, match writers and RPers alike.

Honestly I shouldn't be surprised at the results with me not being able to put my best effort forward like I wanted. Congrats to the winners, everybody busted their asses and nobody deserves to have taken anything away, they won because they deserved it. We all kicked ass and I'm glad to have such a great group of people making up this e-fed.

I've only had enough time thus far to read the Hellcats tag. Stupid short work breaks... I can say it wasn't how I expected to go throughout but it was still a very pleasant surprise. Kim and Helena should be an interesting mix and Catherine can be her full blown bitchy self again. Plus it opens the doors for perhaps something I've been wanting to do for a while...inside sibling rivalry! Yay!

--edit--
As for other results...while it does kinda suck that Catherine only lasted so long in the Cibernetico, it's actually kinda fitting she get eliminated early on. I know her promos were just her bitching and it helps make the night that much harder on her. So congrats to Marc on the win there.

I was a little upset on the HDC result, if I'm being honest, but grew to accept it as I was having too much fun writing the match creating spot after spot in the end. I tried selling Mercedes up in the end with it and just had Terri vanish.

I thought the Hellcats tag was well written. Blink showing her hesitance along with Catherine while Pet once more loses to Kim without a single bit of physical contact between them prior. That's fun. :)

Lastly, congrats to the champs both new and still. Here's hoping to Nensai Senjou being as good as this one. Though, thus far, doesn't look like it'll be an easy night for Mad Dawg. :P

Party on,
Joe.

The show was astounding. Thank you, truly, to everyone involved. I read a great deal of this and I loved everything. I don't have a lot of specific feedback on the show because... well, I mean, that about covers it. It's astounding. Great job to everyone involved.

I do wanna say that I really dug Jim selling Cody in his RPs, and admit defeat to Mad Dawg and Keith Williams in full. Just... could not keep up with Marc and Kyle. Good work, guys!

If you have any specific questions or want any specific feedback that I don't give elsewhere in this thread, please PM me.

So I said a while ago that I was going to give some detailed feedback on all the characters, because while most of the judges can't give their thoughts for the sake of being anonymous, Sid and I should be obvious ones since we're #1 and #2. It might not help you with all the judges, but it should tell you where you stand, and maybe even point you in the right direction from here on out. This is not feedback from the last show; it's character feedback from what I've seen over the last year. If I skip a character, it's because I have nothing to say due to lack of input or other reasons.

I re-iterate that I'm doing this in public because everyone needs to know they're getting the same treatment. This is not meant to embarrass or shame anyone. I'm not trying to insult you; I'm trying to help you. But in order to do that, I need to be real.

The Brick Sharks
I have nothing bad to say about the Sharks. I've been a fan since they showed up in CCW. Solid characters with an astounding portrayal. I have a soft spot for them in particular because I personally have such difficulty portraying "normal" people week-to-week, and Lita finds a way to do it while keeping them very entertaining. They easily communicate with anyone they're put into a match with, talk about their contests while still selling their individual character traits and development, and have strong flaws. If you're looking for an example of how to act while roleplaying, this is the team to look to.

Cody McGinnis
Cody's a character who's hard to pin down. His gimmick has a tendency to be all over the place and you never really know what kind of Cody McGinnis you're going to get during any given promo. Sometimes he's fun-loving and friendly. Sometimes he's brooding and introspective. Sometimes he's all manic-grin, plan-for-punishment. Some consistency would really help with the character. He can hit all these notes, but if there were a more organic REASON for that transition it wouldn't be so hard to follow and predict. I also can't stress this enough; RP earlier, and try to work to make each individual promo longer. Try to at least hit a page and a half. Hopefully the upcoming schedule move will help with that. At some point I'll provide some help with my RP Clinic thread on how to do that and make it feel organic, and not like you're just padding out the post. Cody's a solid character with a lot of history. Iron out these kinks and you've got a great foundation to move upward.

Gus Richlen
Gus Richlen has improved so much coming from NGIW to FIW. I've seen this character do nothing but grow since I first saw him and that's incredible. If this were still NGIW and we still gave out the "most improved" award, Richlen would be the man to get it. That being said, one who has ceased to grow and try to improve is one who begins to accept failure, so here's a few tips. Richlen needs focus. Not overall; overall I think he's INCREDIBLY tight. But each individual promo doesn't do as good a job of being tailored to the exact wrestler Richlen is facing as it needs to. He implies a lot about the other handler's character that, if rebuffed, makes him look stupid and deflates his momentum a piece. Also, I'd add about half a page more to each individual promo. Again, I'll try to update my RP Clinic with assistance on this.

High Velocity
This dude is a cool cat. I don't think I know enough about him to really make too big of a judgement call yet, but I like what I'm seeing.

Johnny Amazing
Amazing as a character has really come into his own over the last year for me. When I first started back in here I thought he was kinda like a re-tooled Lucas Torres, and while that was good I was hoping to see something different. He's really brought that to me in the last few months, especially. Amazing is a complex character and it's fun to see what pushes his buttons and what doesn't. When he keeps his cool, and when he loses his head. I also like how he almost always ends the promo with a smile and some self-promotion. Great RVD/early 2000s feel to the character.

Jonny Hardkore
I love him. I don't always "get" his promos, but the attitude and the energy he usually brings put a smile on my face. I hope he comes back.

Katsu Shun
This is a character who I feel like T has a MUCH better grasp of, and it shows. A LOT. This is a FAR better showcase of his writing talents than Cody has been since his RCR shenanigans in NGIW. My advice still stands, however; roleplay earlier in the week and add about a page to a half page onto your promos and I think this character will really go places.

Lucas Bergeron
What Lita does for modern wrestling (and I like to think I do for early 90s wrestling), Jim does for late 80s deep south wrestling. I want to put titles on this motherfucker so hard. There's so much passion, so much creativity, and so much heart in everything he does.

Mad Dawg
The Dawg is benefiting from Marc hitting all of his character high notes. Any advice I'd give him he's in the midst of following. Mad Dawg's biggest drawbacks are that he gets overly wordy and will sometimes belabor a point into the ground. He has SO not been doing that lately. Good work, champ. Keep it up.

Mungrel
See Mad Dawg. Mungrel's biggest drawbacks are to-the-wire RPs and he has been avoiding that more and more lately. Hopefully the new schedule will eliminate it entirely.

Spencer Chamberlain
I haven't seen enough of this character to give much feedback on, but I like him from a conceptual level. Reminds me of an episode of Star vs. The Forces of Evil, and you can't go wrong with that.

Stephen Eversol
I kind of wish I had given this feedback before Certain Decisions were made, but it is what it is. I think Eversol was working just fine as a face who was in the middle of heels. He was pulling off a believable version of what Jimmy Steel was attempting earlier this year. His biggest downfalls in roleplaying where when he was up against Nathaniel Alexander, and the same honestly goes for Alexander; when they fight each other they descend into childish back-and-forth "yes-huh, nu-uh" fighting and it's so petty and un-fun to read that it drastically reduces their overall quality as characters.

... but all that's basically been thrown out the window at this point, so I guess we'll see.

The Rougarou
... is an event character, I'm gathering? Like The Undertaker? If I'm wrong I haven't seen enough about the dude. If I'm right, I really dig that. Cool concept.

Cage Murdock
Since his return I've really been into him... and not just because he's in my stable. I think he still needs some growth, needs to spread his roots. But I could easily see him in the UIC area next year. Keep doing what you're doing, Seph.

Depicting Sorrow
If I'm being frank, I don't like this gimmick. I've never been a fan of "abusive authority figure snookers lovable character into contract" storylines, and that's what it is. Or was, at least. I've said it before and I reiterate that I enjoy the Speeball/Penance correlation, but in the end I vastly preferred Roy Harlowe on his own. I also really like Darian Gray. He reminds me a lot of Christian Cruz, and I don't mean that like "what a rip!" but more like "oh, good. We don't have a Christian Cruz anymore, and this one is a really good one." I'm glad these two are working together just for the sake of FIW having more tag-teams, but at the same time I think they're better apart.

Jimmy Steel
Jimmy Steel went from being a boring, repetitive jerk in nice-guy's clothing into being a REALLY REALLY good character. My biggest complaint with him is that his best work is in promos on the show and not throughout the week. I really like what Marc gives him to say and how he portrays him as a fairly decent human being who does bad things to get the job done. It's frustrating to be able to lay so much praise at his character's feet but not see him rack up the victories because it's rarely during the RP cycle.

Keith Williams
I think Kyle had a lot of ring rust when he came back with Keith. At first I didn't get all the hype. But lately, his jokes are really punchy, his work gets up nice and early in the week, and the tongue-in-cheek way he does everything is spectacular. I particularly like the complex relationship he has with Brittany and Johnny Amazing.

Kursur
So far in FIW Kursur is at his excruciating best when he's working with someone else. The way the character plays off of other people is what gives him the most juice so far. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more from him every week, but cooperative RPs can often be really difficult to accomplish more than one of in a week. Stretch those solo legs a bit more to make sure you have something to fall back on.

Nathaniel Alexander
Nathaniel works at his best when he's being Nathaniel Alexander; main event billionaire playboy asshole. As I said about Eversol, when the two of them compete they get petty and childish. It showcases the worst parts of the characters more often than it makes them look good. Alexander also frequently ran into the trap of going on a bit too much about one's romance angle. They're really fun to write. I get it, and I agree. But if you're not a part of the relationship it can often be much less fun to read, especially when you're reading two generally awful people like Kim and Nathaniel engage in it. If that's a route you're going down for the week, make sure to back it up with a separate solo promo, or try to be a bit less indulgent. You guys can always write more for yourselves to establish cannon events, then edit down the RP to be the "high points" for the judges/readers to absorb.

Of course, following the PPV I'm not sure how much any of that is pertinent. But it's the feedback I had.

Nemesis and Avila
Fedhead characters. I think Sid's got it well in hand what he's doing and why he's doing it.

Neo Carner
Seph provided some much-needed insight when I gave him feedback a while ago. It's helping me understand the character better. Beyond what was already discussed, I don't have much to offer. I like what I've seen since, but I feel like I need more time to get a grasp on the character before I have anything relevant.

Nick Riot
I'm not going to pretend I understand what the hell Nick Riot is talking about all the time, but he's doing just fine for himself. I wanna see more, wanna see his personal story get to, like, an important plot point before I can really offer critique.

Bisenshi Sakura
Dai's been doing great since his return. He just needs a good story or a strong opportunity. He's got good collaborative RPs and good solo work. Keep it up.

Brittany
An interesting character. I wouldn't mind seeing her actually achieve something big, but I also really like her as a great cornerstone to others' storylines. She enhances so many other characters through her presence, and I think that's an amazing credit to Lita's writing ability.

Helena Handbasket
I feel like I missed so much with this character. There's complicated shit going on here, but I don't really understand what it is. Something to catch us up would be nice. Is this thing with Kim a good jumping-on point? I like what I read, but I don't feel like I know enough to fully appreciate the character.

Kellyn
Kellyn is well-written, but I think she could use some more dimension. A lot of that is likely her newness. Just something to work on. It's early yet with her.

Kim Coulter
Kim is Kim. I don't think anything I'd say here could improve the character. Those big romance angles almost never impact her the way the impact her boyfriends because she backs it up with lots of healthy scheming, bitchiness, or character development. Still, everything in moderation isn't bad advice. She might be taking a slightly new stance going forward? I dunno. A lot of what I might say might be irrelevant, so let's wait and see what happens.

Mercedes Blackwell
Mercedes is a growing character who obviously (given the presence of her title) is in a good place. Every time I think to underestimate her, she proves why I should never do that. The only palpable complaint I have about her is the same one I've always had; the Dora the Explorer way of explaining what she's saying in Spanish. I'm violently aware that this is likely because I speak Spanish and already know what she's saying before she explains it. But it seems redundant. I liked the one RP a while back that included Toby being a clueless dick, showcasing why she automatically translates, but... man, it's little snippets. Google translate exists and a lot of what she says are cognates, or you understand what she's trying to say from context clues. It really takes me out of the flow of the roleplay and wounds an otherwise solid cahracter.

Hope all that helps. It'll be a lot easier next PPV when all I have to draw from is the last cycle. Again, if you have any questions about details, feel free to PM me.

Getting ready for work and had a brief few minutes to read the show. It was as good as I expected it to be. A couple of the results surprised me but most of them didn't, I think all the right people won with the effort that came out of each of them. I cannot wait to get back going with this group again.

Only had a chance to read my match and a few promos so far, the show got posted pretty close to my bedtime so I haven't been able to read the whole shebang just yet.

LOVED Steel/Rougarou. Loved it so much. I'm very grateful to Bleak for pretty much picking up my matches every week and letting me essentially bombard him with notes and ideas each time. :P I hate not being able to write matches anymore because I usually have so many ideas and I feel like a micro-manager at times forwarding the ones I have to someone else. A few years ago I had a big match and I forwarded my ideas to the match writer and he was like "Yeah, I'll do what you want. But you've pretty much killed this match for me." And to this day I still feel bad about that, and every time I send a PM with ideas to a match writer I'm always afraid I'm going to get the same thing PM'ed back to me one day. Nonetheless, Bleak doesn't mind me bombarding him and I'm very grateful for that. :P Thank you again for picking up my match and ding such a great job with it.

I had a blast roleplaying for this show. Bayou Business (with Lucas & Grimm) was a lot of fun, and if people liked that style of promo from Lucas & Grimm, then they'll be excited for down the road. Bayou Business II (with Butch) was fun, but I probably tired too hard to write the best promo in the history of mankind. And, as mentioned elsewhere, I've been on a mid 80s NWA kick lately and have especially been watching Dusty, Cornette and Paul Ellering very closely - three excellent talkers, but three very different talkers. So I feel like I didn't really write Butch with a consistent tone. Still satisfied with the overall package though. Boundaries (Butch in the graveyard) was... yeah. That was good. It's a miracle I was able to work on it and post it, I usually don't have a whole lot of time to work on things on weekends. But it was very easy to write, it was short and to the point. I even had to throw in a Silas cameo, which I wasn't planning on doing at all this roleplay period.

Marc was excellent this roleplay period. I knew the Dawg was most likely going to be his top priority this period, but he didn't write Jimmy Steel that way. And I told Marc this, I was expecting chickenshit Jimmy Steel but I was blown away by what we got instead. Steel just has some straight up venom (there's that word again) to him and it's fun to read. Steel can easily be a mainstay heel for FIW as time goes on. And I also have to give props to Marc for running the concept of Steel at the graves of Si's siblings by me first, that's a first class, respectful move by Marc and I'm very grateful he gave me a heads up and that we were able to exchange some notes. There probably weren't a lot of opposing roleplayers this period who pretty much opened up their playbooks to one another. :P But that really was a very nice and cool thing of Marc to do.

I've got to in some sour territory here for a second... I owe Dai an apology. I owe ones to Pain, Lita & Wight as well. I just don't think I can do joint work anymore. One, I think I've gotten really bad at it and almost overnight. And two, I just don't have time. Friday-Sunday is really bad for me. I try posting stuff on my phone at work, but those 15 minute breaks always wind up going 25 and my half hour lunches last 45 minutes. The only times I know I'm good are Monday-Thursday mornings, and I know that that just doesn't line up with other people's schedules. Again, I'm sorry. I feel like I've been letting you guys down and I hate it, that's just the worst feeling in the world for me. I wish I could be as invested in the fed as everyone else was but I just can't be, I don't have time.

Anyway, another thing...

The Rougarou

Yeah, pretty much. "Like The Undertaker" is Silas in a nutshell. :P I just wanna say... Rougarou has been around a year and a half and I haven't ONCE gotten in an opposing roleplay "Dude, you're lame. You're an Undertaker wanna-be." THANK YOU. Because, yeah... he kind of is. Rougarou is a tribute band with some other popular songs of the same genre thrown in, and I'm not ashamed or going to apologize for it. So I want to thank everybody who's gone against him and not gone for the easy out. I want to thank everybody I've worked with who hasn't rolled their eyes when I pitched an idea that was straight out of Undertaker's Greatest Hits. And to the people who have written his... three or four matches he's had this year? :P For writing him strong and badass and Final Boss-level tough. I still go back to that Panopticon match at RoaL and Silas was written so strong, I got uncomfortable and thought the feedback thread was going to be filled with angry posts. :P I'm just thankful and very grateful for how he's been treated by everyone here - I mean, I'm grateful for how all my characters have been treated, but especially Silas. I'll admit he's not the most original (nor are all my characters at the moment), Silas is probably a character I would poke fun and laugh at 10 years ago, but I've been doing this so long and I just want to have fun. And if that means going from winning Grammy's to playing clubs in a tribute band, then that's fine with me. ... It's a metaphor, stick with me here. :P

But to that actual point, ideally, Silas mainly does PPVs and RATCs, if he does wrestle on ReVolt it'll be in a tag or a 6 man. Silas just isn't the type of character that does the "10 man tag that gets everybody on the card" type of match. He's a storyline driven character who pretty much only comes around if he has something to do. That might DQ him from titles and moving up the card, but that doesn't really bother me all that much. But just once I'd kinda like to win that tag titles with him and Lucas, but that's for down the road someday.

Anyway - really optimistic for 2016. Got a lot of cool things in mind for my characters and I'm really looking forward to how other characters grow and come into their own. ratedgdr shouldn't be down, Lita's one of the best and IMO Johnny Amazing became a main eventer this roleplay period. Marc was on another planet this roleplay period and I don't see a reason why Mad Dawg won't be Dual Crown Champion by this point next year. Tier and 10/31 were great, I've really been digging the anti-Christmas stuff (I used to like Christmas - then I worked 5 Black Fridays at Walmart. That was already a soul crushing job, but working Black Friday at Walmart won't just make you hate Christmas, you'll hate every other holiday too). Again, a lot of very good roleplays posted this past roleplay period, so I'm very excited to read what's coming in the new year. :)

Damn...WHAT A MUTHAFUGGIN WAY TO WAKE UP! :D B)

Just getting up so I'll leave more detailed feedback for the whole show a little later. Want to start off by saying holy shit Lita cleaned up. Tag Team champs and Johnny finally got the FSC. Congrats to all the other winners as well but I had to point that out.

Jimmy's match went much the way I expected (and IMO the way it should have went anyway) and it was really well done. Loved how Silas dominated and then Jimmy turned it around only to go through a sick as hell spot in the end. Had a shit ton of fun working this program with Jim and loved how he had Butch sell Gabriel's grave desecration. Once he put that out there I knew it was over and I didn't even want to try to top that because it was so damn good.

Cibernetico....what a fucking ride. From tops to bottom this was exciting all the way through and thought all of the eliminations were masterfully done. Have to admit I thought TIER had it at the end so my jaw dropped when Mad Dawg finally turned it around. Actually had to real life celebrate that victory.

UIC Match was also done really well and I wasn't sure at all how that one was turning out. Bleak put up an awesome effort so I had my fingers crossed the whole time. Chip's flip-flopping did get a bit confusing at times but it definitely added an interesting element to the match. The post match had me worried as well, I thought for sure Kim's men were going to beat him down so I wiped the sweat off my brow when they decided not to.

As I said I'll provide more detailed feedback later on for the whole show, but all in all everything was just great.

Also, I've got an idea for an bfgf stable so can one of you drop your diva and be my new character Saskatchewan's girl? Nothing creepy about it and we can wait two to three months to do it but I need a answer right now because my grampa is very old. I will not take no for a answer. ;) Also he's face so don't you dare make your diva an heel.

This sounds like the most revolutionary thing FIW has ever seen! Why has nobody else thought of such an original and groundbreaking concept?

Show was awesome. Lived up to every bit of hype and buzz we had going into it, in my opinion. Got me glad I made the effort to get back at it with this group.

Wow! What a day. I really wish I could take this all in comfortably but outside incidents have prevented that from happening. Still, this has been an incredible show and I am beyond flattered by Wight's feedback for my characters. I never get tired of hearing how much Wight loves the Brick Sharks. It will break my heart the day I ruin them for him. Lol.

I enjoyed both of Johnny's outings. The Cibernetico was as I expected when Sid took it - organized chaos. I absolutely loved the way the ReVenants were handled in the match and especially liked the interactions with Johnny and Keith. I pitched the idea for Johnny to finally snap on Keith during the match because the whole Keith/Brittany thing has been weighing on him for some time now. I was really happy with the idea that Sid was able to produce from that. Not at all surprised that Mad Dawg won the whole thing. This RP cycle was owned by Marc. He was on point with both of his characters, but especially with Mad Dawg. I was real happy to see Mad Dawg get the victory.

The Fighting Spirit match was fantastic. I loved how vicious and determined Gus was throughout the whole match and I'm beyond thrilled that Johnny was able to pull out the win. Gus had some great stuff towards the end of the cycle and I did my best to try and keep up with him. Thanks to all who voted for Johnny and I just don't know how to put into words how happy I am to have Johnny finally holding the FSC. :D

I'm glad Jo was able to enjoy the Hellcats tag match even though I wasn't able to put as much effort into it as I would have liked. I really enjoyed working with Adam this week in the RP cycle and am psyched to have Helena back into the mix. I've said before but she is one of my favorite Hellcats and I'd love to see her rise up the ranks; something she's more than capable of given Adam's skill when he dedicates himself.

The I Quit Match may be all over the place. I wrote that last and I tried my best to make it a little rough around the edges. I just hope both Hellcats were able to come out of it looking good, and I really hope Kellyn looks like the animal she is.

The Triangle Tag Match... whaaaaaat?! Did Caleb really outlast everybody and win the whole damn thing? I have to go re-read that... Wow! I absolutely loved that finish! With Rufus getting a little comeuppance and Caleb looks awesome! I always worry that Caleb is overshadowed by the more animated Harley. So it's amazing to see that Caleb was selected to get the win for this match. So awesome! Thanks for writing this, Seph! I had a great time reading it.

I'm gonna be leaving more detailed feedback later for the full show, but I just wanted to get a few thoughts in right now.

First off I thoroughly enjoyed both of my matches. I was honestly surprised Kellyn won against Brittany. I felt like the RP's I put up for both my matches were not nearly up to snuff to earn the wins, but I'm glad Kellyn did get that win. Lita definitely made Kellyn look like an absolute animal and the finish for that match with Brittany passing out definitely added to that.

The cage match was brutality at its best and it was awesome. Lol. Definitely enjoyed reading that whole thing and I liked the way Nathaniel was portrayed in it.

I'm glad Lita liked the FSC match that I wrote. I was worried it might have been a little too one-sided, but I wanted to give it a bit different psychology than the typical back-and-forth matches I tend to write. I wanted to show Gus' viciousness and also put over Johnny not giving in despite having been in the Cibernetico. Overall, it's great to see Johnny win the FSC and it's gonna be fun to see where he goes with it.

Forgot to mention something.

For Sid in the Cibernetico, it was awesome that Johnny did his "sorry, not sorry" shrug to Keith Williams before hitting the Amazing Bomber on Neo Carner. That makes me want to add that taunt to his profile.

I always love when a writer showcases how well they know the characters they're writing and go out of their way to make them feel authentic in a match even though their creator isn't the one writing them at that particular moment.
