Everything done by me. I would've had it up sooner but the weather around here's been making it hard to get a stable internet connection. It kept dying on me, even if I made it to the main page. As is, I'm running on a really tight window of time. I have to get going to work, so I'll edit in the finals later when I have time. In the mean time, discuss? |

I'd be on the edge of my seat if I weren't so concerned about my ankle giving out should I slip off. Also, a little sad there's nothing from the Hellcats yet, but it's totally understandable. Still blown away that Sid wrote this whole show himself. I was supposed to write the Hellcats stuff but he graciously took them from me when I expressed concerned about being able to finish them due to my uncomfortable status. Still, I offered Friday to help when I realized the show wasn't up (and didn't realize the date changed) but Sid is a machine and was already blowing through the matches by that point. You rock. |

Poor Darian, he was here the whole year (mostly) and still got eliminated in the first round, head scratcher there. Sucks we didn't get Rurik vs Neo Part 70. I was looking forward to that. BIG kudos to Sid who is a Goliath and wrote the whole show, big props to him. |

I admit to being disappointed that the Neo/Rurik match didn't happen too, especially because I had something planned for after. Liked the Sorrow/KW match and the fact that the Sweet Sleazy Music was involved. Carried on what was done earlier in the week between Seph and I. Enjoyed how it was written as more of a fight than a match. Interested to see the rest of the show and who will be the overall winner. Sid is an f'ing machine for taking on everything. |

It's a travesty that Caleb Claudel was eliminated in the first round and not gone on to win the whole thing. He was the Cinderella story! Hehe. I'm totally kidding. I'm still amazed that Caleb was even in the tournament. As I said in the Deadlock feedback when he was the sole survivor of the Tables Match. It baffles me that he's getting thing. I always fear that he's overshadowed by Harley and maybe he is getting these things because the judges or Wight and/or Sid feel like he is overshadowed by Harley and want him to stand out more. I don't know! Is Caleb good as is? Or does he need to be more "in-your-face" like Harley from time to time? Or is he getting the big wins and the tournament spots because he's good as is? I appreciate any and all input. He's still a brand new character despite having been in three feds at this point. |

I can't say I'm too upset on Terri losing. Given the backing of the tournament, I'd rather have Terri's first victory over Brittany be a little more legitimate. Gotta say I always enjoy the Grand Prix Tournament, making it to the finals again was a blast, little deflated Cage was in and out but I understand why with the fact Sid wrote the whole darn show and is a damn juggernaut and we should all praise plus worship him. Congrats to Wight who has been consistently sharp all year round, it's good to see a top tier (see what I did there?) writer make it out the new Grand Prix. But I believe we're all a little bit of Grand Prix Champions because we've all done such a kick ass job of keeping this place running for another year, it's been a great joy of mine to RP here for the five or so years I have and I got to say you guys have always been my go to RPG. I've had a blast this year and can't wait to make 2016 another great year for FIW, I hope we all can keep the train a chug a lugging on to 2017! |

Adam Adam is a talented writer, there's no doubt in my mind about that. I was captivated by Bloodbath McGrath earlier in the year and I remember suggesting to Steve that he should be in line for big things if he continued as is. Helena was fun to read, albeit in a completely different manner. Watching her transformation into the crazy girl she is today can read like some characters in recent history of wrestling on TV, but it's all about how it's played and it's played well in my opinion. The biggest drawback was consistency being a key issue. Why is well documented now, so I won't get into that. I would just try to, if you have the time, to focus your energies on maintaining this consistency with Helena. I don't see why she couldn't do well in 2016 if so. Boy Kursur is a delight. You obviously know the character very well and you know what you're doing with him in terms of continuity and consistency. My suggestion is one echoed by others, let Kursur properly spread his wings. While it's fun to have him be apart of a gang & have hijinx with that, don't lose sight of getting some solo face time with him too. Dai Sakura is quirky and fun. In any other fed, I'm not sure how well she would fly. But I like to think we have enough like minded people here that she's been readily accepted and there's been little hiccups about her. I would say just keep exploring her, both on her own and with other characters. Keep diving into her and keep mingling with other characters, generating lines in the sand with her and the rest of the roster. While all enjoyable, one of the freshest pieces you crafted was recently I feel when Kursur and Sakura had their chat. Jim Your characters are some of the most well rounded, fully fleshed out, feel like they're living people characters we have in the fed. They talk like people do. They react like people do. They interact like people do. They're always a pleasure and you tend to be a work horse with storylines and ask nothing in return, usually not even a win in the feuds you craft. You're selflessness in that regard is admirable and I wish we could all remember to be able to take an L on the chin as well as you do. If I'm being honest, the only critique I can think of is something that's your strength too. You know how you operate, you know your strengths and you stick to those guns. Take a gamble more, experiment more, dabble in things you haven't done. Stagnation is the death of all things creative. Go a little nuts. Jo One of the most polarizing figures in our fed, and not just with others either. There are times where I feel like I have a good understanding of, for example, Catherine and I think she could reach great heights. Other times I'm not quite sure what you're trying to accomplish and it doesn't feel quite consistent with the rest of the character's inner continuity. I get this feeling sometimes when reading Blink too. Fundamentally you're about as good as anyone else here. I don't think it's a mistake you've found so many titles in your time here, and I think that highlights that fact. But the best piece of advice I'd give you is to listen to those around you a little more, be a little more willing to accept sometimes the cup of tea you're trying to sell isn't what's selling. Doesn't matter if you add some lemon to it, sometimes people just want a different flavor altogether. Kyle I feel like to some extent prior to me taking over there was some miscommunication and misconceptions going on. However I feel like if there was a poster boy for taking the advice given to him and trying to legitimately integrate it into his work, it's Kyle. You've been writing Keith for a while, that much is obvious in how you write the character and I don't mean that in a bad way. I would keep it up, keep doing what you're doing, if you can continue to experiment with him and maintain your the consistency of your quality, I feel the sky's the limit. Lita What Wighty said about the Sharks dynamic is pretty much how I feel. While I think some people overlook Caleb in favor of Harley, both play their roles very well in the tandem. If you remove one from it, it's missing something. Caleb getting the W at Deadlock led to a natural story progression to me and Caleb getting the GP spot was a Brick Shark getting a spot. And, I thought it'd make for a funner situation in a theoretical RP if Harley was not in than if Caleb was omitted. Johnny, Brittany, the Sharks, they're all wonderful characters. It's very hard in some respects to write normal people. And, while they may not be completely normal, each are close enough that I'd say they're closer to a normal person than Neo Carner or Zombie Black are. Not only do you write them well, each is unique in of themselves too which is a feat. I would keep working on their stories, keep reaching out to people to work with and interact with. Maybe do some stuff that's a little bit outside of your usual comfort zone. Be proactive. It's hard sometimes, I know, but it's the only way sometimes. Marc Another poster boy of taking advice given to him and running with it. I remember I used to think that Marc was pretty talented and had some cool characters. Problem was that he'd either RP pretty much solely right before the deadline or not show up at all. I wanted to see more of them, I wanted to see them interact and get involved in storylines and with other characters. You've done all that and I think it's been rewarded in spades. Mad Dawg and Jimmy Steel are both excellent characters and radically different from each other. Really the only thing stopping Steel from getting more play is that Mad Dawg is getting such a strong push. I wouldn't want to turn this into the Marc Appreciation E-Fed afterall. Matt I hope you don't take the Grand Prix to heart. I think I've told you this one on one, you don't come across new to the game at all. Or, as new as you are. You've got a firm grasp on Darian's personality and who he is as a character, and where he is potentially going as a character. Really the only thing that's held him back in the past were those unannounced hiatuses which would result in him racking up losses. I feel like you're heading in the right direction with him. If you can maintain your consistency, and keep the RPs coming at least around the mid-cycle mark, Darian and you will do well. Nate I felt like since Nathaniel had won the DC he had somewhat lost a step as a character. That one, two knock out combo of Nathaniel interacting with other characters and cutting those killer promos wasn't quite there anymore. He seemed isolated moreso to just interacting with Eversol or Kim and he didn't really do traditional promos anymore. I bring this up because I felt like Deadlock, despite the results, was a turning a corner moment for Nathaniel. It felt like Nathaniel was coming back to his old self, addressing his opponent more directly than in a passive nature. Had the holidays not gotten in the way of potentially more work, I could've seen Nathaniel winning back the titles that night. Not to repeat myself, but you're a talented writer. And, I know sometimes it's frustrating when you are digging something that the judges just aren't. But you kind of have to take a step back, evaluate it and decide what course of action you want to take. People aren't trying to be jerks for the sake of being jerks or rain on your parade, they're just giving you their honest opinions. Nick I like Nick Riot as a whole. The character is interesting and I think you've got a solid handle on things. My suggestion would be to move him towards something substantial, something you can really sink your teeth into. To make a comparison, Bray Wyatt is at his best as a character when he has a person to point some of that tirade towards. I feel Nick is the same. I would like to see how Nick evolves as he gets involved in some feuds and watch us really get to know what type of character he is through those struggles. Other Steve Similar to what Wighty said in the last feedback thread, alot of my feedback I feel will no longer apply due to events that took place at Deadlock. Events that I find unfortunate, because I really did enjoy Eversol at his core as a babyface. I feel like moments like the RP prior to the match with TIER were gold, the RP prior to Summer of Sin was spot on. But I am curious to see where all of this goes. So it managed to do it's job. I would keep listening for any advice or feedback you can get from the judges. Keep improving and keep perfecting Eversol as a character, really letting us get to know him. And, I feel like alot of the bumps in the road that happened this year will be a thing of the past. Seph Another man who I feel like has been a poster boy for taking the feedback and running with it. Tweaking and working on the things we talked about, and going with the flow. I feel like the biggest critique I can offer you right now is the amount of characters you're running. Four or so isn't too bad if two or more are aligned together in a team and kind of working all together. But Cage has been excellent, yet can only go so far before he's stepping on Neo's toes. And, Spencer I've enjoyed what I've seen but it's hard to find spots on the card for him when the other characters demand so much time on the card & there's an entire roster left to book. It just clogs up the works both on the handler and on the management sides. I would recommend maybe trimming the stable of characters. Or, maybe align Spencer with Depicting Sorrow or Neo and Spencer together or something along those lines. Sticky My words pretty much echo YT's from last week. You've definitely grown and really come into your own from when you first entered FIW to now. Richlen feels more and more like a real life wrestler in his own niche way. I would keep doing what you're doing, but try to find a focus for him, a narrative in a sense, for your RPs. I think it would be the next step you need to take Gus to the next level. T I'm curious to see where Cody is going after this past week, I would try to harness this point of focus and keep going with it. Giving Cody some fire and some urgency to him would do him a world of good, I feel. And, keep it up with Katsu, he may have had a rough start but he definitely shows promise. XK You have a good idea of who Mungrel is, that much is obvious. He's usually fun and entertaining to read, I would just keep trying to work on the two issues brought up before. The occasional typos and making sure content avoids deadline bombs, which you have been steadily improving upon. YT YT knows but it bears repeating the biggest weakness to his work with his characters. A lack of motivation sometimes. Which is to say that there are times where they feel directionless, adrift in the wind and it shows in the content. While still good, it'll lack the bite it normally has. For what normally are heels, they can enter these states of apathetic passiveness. Where they don't feel like antagonists anymore, just kind of there people. But then there are instances like TIER and Mad Dawg's draft picks where they're firing all on cylinders. I feel like if you can encapsulate that more and continue to do it, you'll be damn near unstoppable. The tournaments themselves were hard to call. The judges, though they were trying to be helpful, were pretty split on how it should all shake out for the GP. A key factor in deciding the Grand Prix was the accompanying Hellcats tournament too. Without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, Lita was the only choice for which handler could win the Hellcats tournament this year. Brittany's been a stand out character, Lita's an excellent writer, she's helped a ton with the fed and she's been consistently here more than nearly any other character. With the Grand Prix, I tried to draw up the brackets as random as possible to keep them feeling legit. Though to some extent that wasn't possible with some of the people the judges voted to advance and who I felt should advance too. It led to some unfortunate first round eliminations. There were alot of choices to choose from, alot of talented writers, alot of interesting characters. But in the end I went with consistency, both in the handler's temperament and their skill in their writing, and to a lesser extent what they did behind the scenes. Afterall, to my understanding the GP is meant to be a reward for the content you've put out over the year. I considered what the handlers had gotten recently in terms of rewards and what their characters had done over the year. Johnny Amazing was a serious contender for example, however I didn't want FIW to change into the Lita Appreciation E-Fed with the Sharks as the tag champs, Johnny as the FSC and GPC, and Brittany as the Fury Road winner. I think that might've been overkill. ![]() Mad Dawg was another under consideration, till he won the Cibernetico and then went on to keep the UIC by the end of Deadlock. No need to give him even more. |

I fucked up because I wrote the show over the week of Christmas and didn't think to double check it and for some reason thought Kellyn advanced during the course of the several days I wrote it. I plead the excuse she roughed up Sakura too much to get cleared by docs. And, on the topic of Neo/Krychek, a request was made that if certain requirements were not met to do that instead of a match. |

I'm not really sure what to say. I'll start with the depressing feedback because that always sucks. I'm really bummed that Johnny didn't manage to win the Grand Prix. I negotiated with myself after reading it and gave myself the same argument that I ended up reading from Sid in the feedback. I'm grateful that Johnny is the FSC and that the Sharks are the Tag Champs. It's amazing to me that I have two titles in FIW right now. So that's awesome. Still, the Grand Prix, man! I just cannot win this thing for nothing. For the most part, my inclusion in the Prix has been really good, though (one year notwithstanding). I'm happy to see how many eliminations Johnny got. He was beyond Ama-Zing~! in all his matches and especially in the final. I appreciate how strongly he was written. All in all, it's probably for the best. Zombie Black is more main-event ready, in my opinion. Wight has been a consistent RPer and a solid OOC presence whereas I have faltered more than a bit in at least one of those (maybe both!). Overall it was the better decision OOC and for storylines. Now... Brittany! Woo! I never dreamed she would make it to the finals, let alone win the whole thing. I really saw Brittany as sort of Caleb's role in the tournament. I knew Caleb was losing to Eversol as soon as I saw it booked... let me go into that feedback, I guess... I hope no one took that as me questioning why Harley isn't getting anything. Not at all. Harley doesn't deserve things. He's a little shithead. He's lucky he's tag team champ. Lol. I'm just constantly surprised to see Caleb get so much limelight because he's so mellow and sometimes I feel that I underplay him. So, it's cool to see that's not the case and that he's playing his role as the straight man in this two-man combo well enough that people are liking it. As for his match, like I said I knew he was there just to lose to Eversol and I was more than fine with that. In fact, in my judging feedback Eversol was who I voted for to win the whole thing. So, it would be pretty ridiculous of me to be upset that my rookie character loses to a near main-eventer that I picked to win the whole tournament. Just happy a Brick Shark was included at all! Now for Brittany. Like I said, I thought she was there to let someone else win. Especially when I saw Johnny advance into the second round I figured she would suffer from his climb, and I would have been alright with that. I've been fine with Brittany taking a championship backseat in favor of Johnny accomplishing accolades. That was my intent when I brought them both in. Johnny wanted titles more than Brittany. However, through my work with Jo, Adam, and now Nate I feel like Brittany has really developed a hunger for the Hellcats title and to prove her worth. So, thanks to Jo, Adam, and Nate for having characters that belittle Brittany and constantly try to sell her as a worthless Barbie doll with no hopes of ever achieving anything in life. It's really done wonders for the character! The Fury Road tournament has been a great year-ending moment for Brittany and here's hoping she can continue to build to something grand in 2016. Now the mystery begins... does Brittany challenge her friend Mercedes for the championship? What a match that could be.

I'll first say I'm very grateful that Sid essentially spearheaded this entire show, and am kinda jealous that he can write a short match that covers every base of a character and not really leave anything out. I never could do that when I wrote full time. In regards to the GP... HOW DARE YOU WRITE ROUGAROU LOSING A MATCH! I'm glad and thankful that Rougarou was written out the way he was, though I would've been fine with Rougarou/Nathaniel being a first round match to get Silas out of the tournament earlier. I feel kinda bad about Rougarou beating Darian Gray, when Silas has only had (counting the GP) like 6 matches in total this year. I really considered asking either not having Silas in the GP or having him get DQ'ed in the first round but I thought that would've been poor form on my end.Lucas... holy crap! I mean, I kinda figured Lucas would get the win over Psycho Dragon, but as soon as I saw Lucas/Neo I was prepared to lose. So when I read Lucas beating Neo shenanigan free, I had to put my phone down and take a deep breath - I know it's the Grand Prix, but that's Neo Carner! So imagine my reaction when Lucas eliminated Nate Alexander in the finals - my jaw hit the ground, but then I started to think "Is Sid trying to get people to hate me?!" Again, sounding a bit like a broken record, but I'm very thankful and appreciative that my characters were handled the way they were and written to advance as far as they did. I really didn't think Lucas' 2015 was GP Finals worthy because I had to take so much time off this year, so I really wasn't expecting to go very far (I've only won the GP once, and that was with Jim O'Brien in 2008, so I never really get my hopes up and expect to win it again). Also props to Wight - Havok/Tier/Zombie Black has been one of my most favorite characters to read this year, and things like the name changes and character changes done to him, I know are things I couldn't pull off (It was kinda weird reading a Tier that wasn't Scott Draven at first, but you were writing him so well that after a few roleplays it didn't cross my mind at all). In terms of the handler feedback - I do realize I tend to stick to the same tried & true formulas. There are a lot of things I do want to try, but... like usual, I have a lot of questions. One of the issues I have is with the FIW narrative. I made that thread in the Drawing Board last spring that had a couple interesting posts, but it just turned into everyone belly-aching over the name of the FIW Network account& what channel FIW should be on, and it really didn't answer any of my questions or concerns at all. I think if we had a much more clearly defined narrative for the fed, I'd have a better idea of what I could do and couldn't do.

It is sort of nebulous, isn't it? NGIW was its own entity. Promos would air in-between other shows on fictional premium cable network HTB, leading up to the actual show's air date. You could also watch them on-demand on the website. Hell, we even went into detail as to why everything was being filmed, mostly because I got tired of people writing about mysterious camerabots and invisible cameramen when filming more personal, private scenes, and that's what gave NGIW its strong reality show spin where cameras are on in the compound, the houses, and sometimes parts of the surrounding area. FIW, I personally imagine to be a bit less out-there and niche. There are still cameramen when there need to be; wrestlers are either incredibly aware of what they're putting on TV or are being spied on by someone with a smaller digital camera. We're living in an age where big-name films are being shot entirely on iPhones and looking damn good for it, so keeping up cinematic quality while one dude is just sneaking a peek at these wrestlers' lives is perfectly reasonable. I'd imagine they'd have to sign a release beforehand or something. But that's just the way I think of it. I dunno. |
