Opener: Seph
Tag Match: Sid
Grudge Match: Wight
No DQ Match: Lita
Submissions Match: Lita
FSC Match: Sid
UIC Match: Wight
Open Challenge: Sid
Tag Titles Match: Sid
Main Event: Jo

Segments were done by Boy, YT, Seph, Lita, Jim, XK, Nate, Other Steve and myself.

Thoughts, comments, concerns.

A brief notice for Rising for anyone interested in getting an application up. I'll likely be launching it the week of February 8th, so it's show falls on the week after Nensai Senjou.

HOF news too, the in character Hall of Fame Ceremony will be at Nensai Senjou. Giving everyone a head's up so that they can write and submit any in character acceptance speeches, if they'd like to. Also so that you could potentially help Billy with his OOC summaries that will end up in the Information Desk thread.

Those inducted this year are...

Jack Manson, Jim O'Brien and Scott Kaiser for singles athletes. The Bloody Ockers & The Ordinary for the tag team athletes.

And, Steve & Lita are the OOC inductions.

This was by no means an easy show to call, judging wise.

The first match of the night alone proved that. I felt both guys did excellent in heating up the potential main event of Nensai Senjou and adding another chapter to this simmering issue between the Revenants & Mad Dawg that's been there for a while.

I felt Seph did some really good, straight up heel promos for Neo that helped establish a narrative we tried to follow for the night, Neo softening up the competition. Marc was equally good in Mad Dawg's babyface portrayals this week. The bits of creativity, like Julie taking him to acupuncturist were inspired and I think that's what ended up getting Marc the slight edge in the votes.

I freely admit I was the weak link on my team this week. I intended to do more, but time got the better of me. That said, the judges loved everyone else's work in the match and I know it was pretty divided. People are digging Silas and his direction with this Nemesis storyline, people liked the interaction with Catherine & Silas. But even more than that the judges felt the work for Helena was strong and should be rewarded.

Shame about the no show from Seph. I was hoping to keep the Spencer/Kursur issue alive. The general consensus was that Boy did a solid job with what he had to work with.

This was another really hard one. One of those ones where I read an RP posted by one of the handlers and go, okay, they won, that's it. Then the other handler comes along and makes me go, okay, no, wait, that's it, they won. It was a great back and forth between the two and I wanted a finish to reflect that and keep both ladies looking strong.

Shame about Kyle. I was really hoping we could continue this underlined tension between the Coulter Crew and the Revenants. However real life sometimes makes things like that not possible. Other Steve did some good work in spite of not having anyone to play off of and earned what could've been a lazy W for him regardless after the Kyle news broke.

The FSC Match. One of the trickiest matches to call. Sticky's work with Gus hasn't been bad at all, albeit I feel like something's gotten lost in translation somewhere along the way. Initially I was thinking you were going for a type of deal where being a grump like he can be, Gus took Johnny's laid back nature as him disrespecting him. However this cycle your work didn't really gel with the rest of the narrative.

Making the fans cheer Gus over Johnny when they should like both, still trying to make Johnny the heel in the situation. I feel like if you had gone at it from a different perspective, maybe one not so black & white, things would've gone down differently. Because even the judges noted to me, and I agreed, some of your work was really inspired, like the poem. Had it had the backdrop of something less confusing, I think it would've been a harder call to make.

I'd like Gus to take a step back from the FSC division for the time being, retool a little, get your creative juices going again. Maybe pick up a grudge style feud away from a title after NS.

UIC, Will did some good stuff and I did like the rehabbing of Erik's missteps from the week prior. But Wighty was on fire, and Zombie was firing on all cylinders. I think with the talk we've had and some of the changes you've made, Will, moving forward Erik'll have an easier time in FIW.

DC, XK and Jim both RPed excellently. And, I'm not going to lie, there were some judges calling for a title change. This would've been an increasingly harder match to handle had it been decided on those merits. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, Jim PMed me a few days prior to today and told me that he'd like Lucas to lose.

Even with that in mind, I tried to make both men look like beasts in this match.

Maybe one of the more controversial calls, the tag titles match. Not because I think either team were necessarily bad either. Just sometimes it's hard to argue against Lita when she's on with her characters. And, the Brick Sharks were definitely entertaining this week and they built everything up pretty well heading into the match. However I felt Matt and Seph matched the Sharks with DP, albeit in a different and more traditionally wrestling format.

It was tough to call, and the judges' thoughts proved to was a divisive match to call a finish for. In the end, I felt Seph & Matt edged it out just slightly and so I went with a finish that I felt could continue the story in a meaningful way for both teams. Seeing as they are pretty much the top two teams in FIW.

The Hellcats Title Match, it was another one that was very difficult to call. Jo's really found his footing with Terri with this whole delusional shtick and it really showed in his work this week. All of the judges pretty much made note of it and praised him for it. Likewise though Other Steve played off of it brilliantly and he's really made Mercedes fully come into her own since Deadlock. Rather than an interesting character with potential to be good, she's now just a good character.

Every vote I got for this mentioned the other party and praised them, regardless of who they called to win. Ultimately I went with the majority rule and went with a finish that made both Hellcats look good to continue this budding rivalry.

I figured I was losing the moment Lita made the stip.

This utterly sucks, mostly because I'm now stuck in lower-midcard purgatory. There is NOTHING positive for me to take from this. NONE.

That's a pretty childish takeaway, man. Go here, remind yourself we don't do that, and maybe read the feedback again.

You spent a lot of time painting your opponent as something they weren't. Which, if you were a heel is one thing, but... you're not. You had fans cheering Richlen for "shutting down" Amazing in the open Dual Crown shot thread. This combined with your OOC habit of disliking all of Johnny Amazing's roleplays paints a... weird picture of exactly what you think you're doing.

I've gone to bat for you a bunch, man, but the stuff I've been seeing in the past few weeks has been troubling, at best. The quality and throughput of your RPs has been ASTOUNDING. But the subject matter is just... I don't get where you're coming from. Given the result to the match, I'm not sure others get where you're coming from, either.

Bulletpoints:

* Wight, really nice job with the UIC. I expected to lose, but it was a short, fun and violent encounter anyway so I am all good. I really do feel we need more testicle based violence in hardcore wrestling.

* I echo Wight's sentiments regarding the FSC.

* Surprised to see the Brick Sharks lose the belts! I am a big fan and I expect this business with them and DS isn't done yet.

* Submission match was a great read. Sorry to see Kyle go because this was really even.

* Jim asked Lucas to lose? WHY DOE? Oh man. I am a shameless, shameless Bergeron mark and as much I like Mun too, give the man the damn belts! Lol. Still an awesome encounter.

* The main had a GREAT finish I really enjoyed. Jo has taken this idea with Terri parading aound a fake title and run the hell out of it. Keep it up.

Glad I could set a narrative for Neo. I should have expected the loss not going full tilt (I'm saving the big guns for Nensai.) I wanted to write write a better match but life is a little stressful.

I apologize to Boy and Kursur. I didn't even remember Spencer and really only had time for what I put up for the others.

I'm astonished I've won the tag titles agai n. Lita is a beast with the Brick Sharks and a win over a juggernaut like her is a honor.

Good show guys.

I would have stolen Willie's idea and done bullet points, but honestly it seems easier for me to just echo everyone before me. Cool finish to the main event, surprised (but with DS, not that surprised) by the tag titles, and I must say...I laughed out loud multiple times during the Zombie/Holland match. Great, fun read from top to bottom, as usual.

Is this a forum or a cave? Because the echoes are continuing.

Wonderful show all around. Tag match was written to... dare I say, Perfection? Serious props to Lita, she's incredible with the Brick Sharks and I, much like some others, am quite surprised with the DS win.

You know what can really ruin a victory? A sore loser.

But that's what I'm gonna be! I DEMAND THE BRICK SHARKS LOSS BE STRICKEN FROM FIW LORE!!!!

Heh. I kid. You thought I was talking about a different match at first, didn't you? ;)

In all honesty, I am understandably bummed by the Tag title loss. I can't lie and nobody would believe me if I did. Nothing against Seph and Matt because I love them both and working with them in every capacity I've gotten to work with them has been fantastic. I just honestly thought that was the match I had in the bag. Not a knock on DS's work at all because they gave me some great material to work with. I just felt incredibly confident with what I did with the Sharks this week. Further proof that I made the right move removing myself as a judge. I don't know what the hell I'm talking about when it comes to judging RPs anymore! Ha. Congrats to DS, though. I love them. Even if the loss stings, I can't hate on the team.

This was an incredible show. I said it earlier in the week but there were a ton of great matches booked on this show. They all played out great too. As I read through the show I was just going to read a few things and come leave feedback but after every match I'd be like "Oh, yeah, there's THAT match I want to check out too" until I was onto the Hellcats main-event.

I had more fun writing Eversol vs. Keith than I thought I was gonna have. I enjoyed getting to put the united OG Coulter Crew out there to just play traditional heels in a match against... another heel. I had to fight not to make Keith a total babyface but I always figured he's one of those heels that gets some cheers and he'd definitely get some support with the way he was taking it from every which direction here. It was great getting to put Eversol over as a beast at the end with his Kimura Lock too.

The No DQ Hellcats Match was fun. I hope Nate and Dai are happy with what I came up with. Sorries if it's a bit Brittany-heavy in spots. I really didn't want her stuff with Kellyn to just completely disappear even though we've moved onto Kellyn and Sakura right now. The finish was given to me by Sid and I'm very happy with it. I think both characters in this feud have looked great and I feel like it's propelling them both forward. My only advice to Nate would be to find Kellyn's voice a bit more. You've got her accent down, but who she is as a person could use a little more exploration. That's been the only drawback I've heard on her.

Sad by the DC match. I love Mungrel and I'm glad he's still champ because honestly I think he should be the one going into Nensai Senjou as the top dog. However, I kind of think whoever actually won this match should be going into NS that way. I'm all for pre-determined finishes if you're building to something great (I actually prefer pre-determined finishes to help build great feuds and hot finishes) but... this starts and ends here. So, that leaves me a little cold. Still. The creation of this match was brilliant. The RPs for it were fantastic. The actual match is incredible. Thanks for letting me be a part of that group thread. I miss classic Attitude Era segments where everyone is just pouring out of the back to run their mouths. Fun times. And I love when Johnny gets to be anywhere near Mungrel.

The FSC match was great stuff. A little surprised that it was implied the match was determined back from my very first RP. I mean, I thought it was a good RP but good enough to determine the winner right then and there? Wow. I honestly did my best in this storyline. At first I thought it was kind of fun, but honestly this past week has not been a favorite of mine. I didn't really understand what was happening and even had to ask a couple people if Johnny was coming off as the heel in this because that was never my intention. Thanks to those who were able to help me out with that confusion. I was worried about Johnny's reign for that reason but I'm very happy to see that he's hung onto the belt. I love being Fighting Spirit Champion. I love having Johnny actually on a roll right now. I think it's really been great for his character. We can only see a babyface struggle for so long before it gets boring. He either needs to finally achieve something (thank God he was able to!) or he becomes as joke. So, I'm real happy with where he is right now.

A big thank you to everyone who helped write this week's show! It was an incredible card and you all helped bring it to life for us. Solid work all around from RPers to especially the match writers. I'd really like to come up with some kind of reward for our match writers (beyond the addition of extra characters) but I can't think of anything. If anybody has any ideas that I could help with, let me know please!

I'm glad people enjoyed the ending of the Hallcat title match, as I'll say the rest of the match...I don't know. Definitely nowhere near main event worthy on any type of show. The ending though I had some fun with so I'm glad it was accepted well. :)

I do feel sorry for Bleak as I told him last week that regardless of the outcome Terri wasn't going to be parading around with her title anymore. I figured a loss at something like this would definitely tell her that she wasn't the champ. So colour me surprised when I heard the judges views of her. So, you know, thanks. Gives me the confidence that if I can accomplish something like that with Terri then perhaps there's hope for the others as well. :)

Speaking of, I don't know about all of them being booked on one show. The last time it happened I couldn't keep up and lost everything. So a little leery on this one. Just gonna say it now though, please don't do it again. :)

This might seem like me complaining, but it's more me a little concerned given Catherine didn't come off as strong at all in her match. All she seemed to get were counters, desperate attempts to getting the momentum, and a punt kick before getting pinned moments after tagging out. I mean it doesn't really matter in the long run given Catherine's goal doesn't require her winning any matches, unless Kim becomes a title, so I'm not upset. I just don't see how she came out looking strong.

I did have fun though writing with Jim. They were short bits but I had fun writing the ones from my part. :)

Party on,
Joe.

I just had a few points I wanted to toss in, so I'm going to use Will's bullet point approach:

- THANK YOU WRITERS! You are the lifeblood of the fed. And I'm with Lita, I wish there were a way to reward them outside of what we do now.

- Lucas/Mungrel was ASTOUNDING! I'm very happy with how this turned out, thank you very much for writing it Sid. There were certainly a few times I thought Lucas was actually going to win. Commentary was also excellent and complimented the action VERY well.

- I was happy with Silas & Catherine vs Helena & Nemesis, but after reading over Jo's concerns, I'll have to read it again.

I'm going to look over the show a little bit more and weigh in some other matters a little bit later. But good show and great work, everyone!

Great show overall one of the best RATCs in recent memory. I want to thank Lita for picking up Eversol's match against Keith because it came out perfectly. The way Nate and I had discussed doing the OG Coulter Crew (Lita, I'm stealing this) was exactly like this. Just classic heel stuff. The segment we wrote was supposed to explain a little of why they're reunited. But we do plan on doing more of that now. I was super surprised to see the announcement of Eversol now getting a UIC title shot. That's really cool.

I was surprised to see that Mercedes won. I went with the idea of having Mercedes play into Terri's delusions and it looks like people liked it. Jo did a great job with Terri too so I was really unsure if Mercedes would win or not. And honestly, Jo, don't worry about dropping the "Terri thinks she's champion" angle. If it's getting her over, then keep doing it. Jo did a great job with the match. He's written Mercedes perfectly in the last few matches so thank you for that. The ending was really good, as has been echoed.

I just wanna say I'm the biggest fucking Mercedes fan since you took my advice. And not just because I was the one who suggested you do it and it's an ego boost; I'm able to appreciate all the fun-bitchy nuances of her character without it being bogged down in explanation of what she's saying.

Keep up the great work.

I'm on my phone right now, so it's a bit tough to write extensive feedback, but I just wanted to leave a little bit (and therefore I'll ALSO be stealing Will's bullet point system :P)

- First off, Lita you absolutely did a great job on the No DQ Hellcats match. Kellyn was written perfectly in it and I loved how violent it got. I had a feeling Sakura was going to win because Dai kicked my ass in RPs for the cycle. I had fun writing the Story time RP and I liked how it came out from what seemed almost like a throwaway point in Dai's first RP. Overall, it was a great match!

- It was cool to see Mercedes walk away from the match holding the title. I think both Jo and Steve did a great job with their RP's and I like seeing the angle with Terri believing she's the champion. It'll be interesting to see where it goes from here after this loss.

- I'm a little torn about the Brick Sharks losing the tag titles, but I'm a big fan of DS, so it was cool to see that play out.

- The segment Bleak and I wrote, as he said, was a way to explain why we're reuniting again and trying to bring a fresh take to it. Hopefully that all worked and hopefully people are looking forward to seeing more.

That's all I've got so far, but I will definitely try to post more in a bit.

- Gus Richelin hasn't come across as someone who connects very well with people, so to have him sparking off a "screw enablers" chant didn't seem right. In part, this is because enabler is not a word that I'd ever think to chant

- Lucas should have won the DC just to piss off Silas, and Jim is a bum for denying us that. He's right about the writers though.

- Sakura's match rocked. Was a little surprised to see her celebrate with Mercedes, given that she's had no previous direct interaction with Mercedes, and I'm pretty sure that she's said that it'd be weird trying to make friends with a reigning champion. I might have just wrote that and never used it.

- My second RP had a few bits that came off pretty well, but a weak finish, and it was proof read by a moron. Kellyn could/would have won with a solid rebuttal. Moving Kellyn away from 'just' being the Destroyer of Brittany/Blondes is a definite Good Idea, though.

- Speaking of which, the title match was pretty good, and I've quite enjoyed Terri. It's been a fun little run; but I have to disagree with Steve, I think it has run its course.

- Zombie Black was right.

- Rick Nuller mention in 2016? Wow.

- I love the Brick Sharks, and I don't care who knows.

Moving Kellyn away from 'just' being the Destroyer of Brittany/Blondes is a definite Good Idea, though.

I definitely agree there. Also thanks to Lita for pointing that out as well. That's something I'm gonna be working on for sure. Admittedly, I was a little short-sighted in crafting the character at first because, at the time, I just had the feud with Brittany in mind, so I was working on her personality to fit that story. But I'll definitely be molding her a bit more from here forward, though and making her a bit more well-rounded.

EDIT: That's not to say I want the storyline between Kellyn and Brittany to end, just that I want Kellyn to be about more than JUST that. Lol.

- Speaking of which, the title match was pretty good, and I've quite enjoyed Terri. It's been a fun little run; but I have to disagree with Steve, I think it has run its course.

I agree and disagree with you on the angle running its course. It's definitely run its course in its current incarnation. However, Terri refusing to accept that her belt was the fake one all along is a perfectly logical direction. Especially if Jo keeps the schtick up of it falling apart on her (I did read right that some of the stones were falling off the belt, yeah?). It would transition from delusional Terri to stubborn brat Terri trying to continue to push a reality that doesn't exist while it's crumbling around her (literally in the case of the fake belt).

- Zombie Black was right.

Not for the first time. S'why Brittany supports him.

- I love the Brick Sharks, and I don't care who knows.

I'm glad to be one of the ones who knows it. Having you and Wight support them so much surprises me immensely but I love seeing it! I told Wight that seeing "Minister Wighty likes this" in my RPs always makes my day.

Mine too, but I don't think it's ever meant more in recent memory that Wight (and Knight) liking Trust. I didn't just step out of my comfort zone, I jumped in a race car and drove as fast as possible away from my comfort zone until it rn out of gas. :P I was nervous the whole time I was writing it and for 2-3 days it didn't get a like, so I was worried people either hated it or were indifferent. But once I got Wight's seal of approval, I knew I was on the right track.

I appreciate it. It still trips me out I was able to write a face character that is getting over. A female at that. So I'm glad people seem to be enjoying it. And I thought you were right about the "Dora" thing. I always wanted people to understand her which is why I did it but I didn't like it too much after a while myself.

Love everybody, love the show, love everything.

Just...

<.< Anyone else see something wrong with Depicting Sorrow's new title reign description?

The Brick Sharks became the sixty-first World Tag Team Champions when they defeated the Brick Sharks via pinfall after Darian Gray smashed a portrait over the head of Caleb Claudel.
